Yay, finally someone liking this one. Sorry I couldn't repay with a few points to your entry. I have no idea how to do good at this anymore.

Votes sent. I had to give top marks to songs I already knew. I think it's the first time I didn't even kept one new discovery to the library. No idea what this remix/dubstep/mixtape galore on CD1 is about.. I think the winner will win by quite a gap.

Yep, agree. It's not 'Wolfgang' but it's definitely not 'plain bad' either. ;)

Sorry I was a bit late with this. Also, sorry it's a bit rushed. A Crack To The Back Of The Head 1 - Starting off with a bit of funk and blues. This is normally not my 'territory' but I quite liked this one. It just has this good-feel and rythm all the way through. I know very few artist in this genre but one of them is Sly Stone - And if I'm not completely wrong I think there is som Sly Stone in this as well. 5/10 2 - Same type of genre as #1. Funky - and while it's not that bad at all, I do end up feeling a bit bored of it. I'm not familiar with the artist. 4/10 3 - This one reminds a bit of Prince. So, we are still in the same genre but with a bit more guitar and cathy riffs - which is more for my liking. 5/10 4 - I like the development on this CD. While we are still moving in the funky atmosphere, it's has this natural flow to it. This song actually reminded me of Fool's Gold. No idea who it is, though. Pretty good. 7/10 5 - A bit relieved by this track. While it's not my favorite track on the CD, I would find it hard to hear 17 songs that - at least in my head - are quite similar in shape and sound like the previous 4 tracks. This has a more rough edge to it followed up with some epic brass instruments. 6/10 6 - This is more 'me'. And I know this track. It's Pond with 'Fantastic Explosion Of Time'. Psychedelic, indie rock-ish. Great! 7/10 7 - Is that japanese? Actually, this wasn't THAT bad. But really not a fan of the vocal. 4/10 8 - This one probably the most catchy of the lot so far. 'i can dream all day...' I like these 90s grunge/garage rock elements in this one. 7/10 9 - This is 'Clowny Clown Clown'. He hates the clown, I hate this song, haha. 2/10 10 - Not sure what to make of this. A very sweet 60s-70s (could be dead wrong here) pop song. Not really feeling it. 4/10 11 - 80's surfer-pop song. Has a good feeling to it. I like it. 7/10 12 - Morrisey is obviously the first thing that strikes me of this pop song. While I'm sure it's not Morrisey, it really does sound an awful lot like it. It's alright, I guess. 6/10 13 - This is probably my favorite. Very elegant, atmospheric and refined. Loved the drums. 8/10 14 - Sounds very 90's and britpop-ish. I'm a bit uneasy with this one. It's has this recognizable and nostalgic 90's sound to it but I wasn't really overwhelmed. 5/10 15 - This sounds very danish in some way. But I'm quite sure I would have known if that was the case. It's pretty good. Quite catchy. Also, vocals reminded me a bit of Tom Smith's in the beginning. (just a bit) 7/10 16 - Meh. I missed a bit of development which I thought was underway when the vocals appeared, but sadly not. 4/10 17 - Great finish to this CD with Suuns - 2020. 7/10 I feared I'd get a CD with nothing but cheesy pop tracks - I'm glad I didn't. What I got was a collection of songs with a great, thoughtful flow from start to finish that - while stayed within the theme and these rather old sounds all the way through - still moved in a various mix of genres. It wasn't a CD that really fitted my taste in particuar but I can only admire and appreciate how well it was made. This is a complete contradiction to my own collection of songs which are quite incohesive. 6/10

Kind of agree. But I'm not giving up on it. Could be a grower. One thing is certain, though. 'Bankrupt' is a pretty fantastic song.
