Adele vs Kesha
Adele versus Kesha... let's compare then! a singer > a pop puppet deep soulful voice > croaking childish one an inspired song > same sounding manufactured trash music-based product > image-based one British artist > American one The choice is obvious - Adele all the way!!! PS. I don't mind Kesha, to be fair.

Alexandra Burke - The Silence (6th Single)
I'd say music channels play the video a lot. Not the greatest video in the world though but the song is sublime. I wish it reached the Top 5 at least.

Upcoming Releases Peak Positions Predictions.
Look at last week's sales - 37654 copies weren't even enough to get a Top 10 placing. I'm not saying December is a particular month for singles sales, it was just to illustrate that time goes by and we're at the very end of 2010 so it cannot be compared to previous years when she effortlessly was peaking in upper reaches. Pre-Christmas period intensifies the competition though with bucketload of releases and Christmas-themed songs high up the charts.

Upcoming Releases Peak Positions Predictions.
I think the same had been said about her Top 10 ability before the last single was released. Sales volume increases constantly, especially now in the pre-Christmas rush. I'm not sure if her usual physical impact will be enough to tackle December 2010 sales market's Top 20. Besides, it's a very bad song. I know even one Kylie fan who hates it. Don't think that casual buyers will snap absolutely everything.

How do you know how many physicals she will sell?

Pointless "Deluxe" Editions
I definitely prefer Primark, my favourite clothes shop. There is nothing worse than posh attitude and I have no idea why you generalise all the gay guys as such. I'm not a fan of deluxe editions either.

Take That Progress sales
because it is 2010 and not 1997. 13 years make a huge difference in music industry.

Poll :How many Beatles singles will chart?
Katy Perry sounds crap even now <_< ;) I also cross my fingers for Florence even though I'm not yet 100% convinced by this new song.
-
Take That Progress sales
Sales of previous albums may only be an indicator but they don't determine sales of future releases in a direct way. Look at Susan Boyle or James Blunt to mention a few from the current chart climate.
-
Take That Progress sales
294,000 Aren't there many other threads on this subject already all over this forum?
-
Black Eyed Peas - The Time (Dirty Bit)
Oh Lord, how can you spend a penny on the new Black Eyed Peas rubbish? :puke: this excuse of a song murders a classic and turns it into a nightmare!

iTunes Chart: November 2010 (II)
How come Take That haven't surpassed Rihanna yet? They'd better do it soon as I don't want to see her remain on top!
-
Who would you like to be #1 this week? - Week 30
other & other let's say James Blunt & Mumford and Sons even though I couldn't have picked more unlikely candidates
-
Poll : Cherry-picking
Anyone knows why downloading selective tracks is called "cherry-picking"? :D Why cherries? And to answer the question, I don't cherry pick or pick cherries (whatever lol) because I only buy physical albums/singles.

LEAST Favourite of 2009s best selling singles
Meet Me Halfway followed closely by Empire State Of Mind - utter crap!

The **Irish** iTunes Chart [NOV-OCT 2010]
That's what I meant, hardly from US and hardly singing r&b on Only Girl but in general considered as part of the mainstream US urban flow.
-
The **Irish** iTunes Chart [NOV-OCT 2010]
Definitely more than the UK. Even though at the moment both charts may look similarly, over the last few months US artists have fared relatively better in Ireland than in the UK. It's particularly visible comparing the entries every week. Ireland picks up almost all US urban ones out of the pack that debuts in Britain.
-
The **Irish** iTunes Chart [NOV-OCT 2010]
To a much lesser extent. Radios over here keep playing her like crazy but general Irish public is completely addicted to urban music from America :puke2:

Cheryl V. Rihanna
Of course I prefer Cheryl and cross my fingers for her victory come Sunday. God bless X Factor, lol.
-
The **Irish** iTunes Chart [NOV-OCT 2010]
Well, in a dispute Cheryl Cole vs Rihanna, I sincerely hope the UK phenomenon over "Promise This" spreads out in here as Ireland's chart is sadly dominated by American overrated r&b crap. Even though Rihanna's hardly a US artist singing r&b recently, I still much prefer Cheryl Cole's songs.
-
Nelly - Just A Dream
I only hope this rap crap doesn't reach the top 10, the UK chart have seen enough of these American waste r&b acts, it's about time for an objection!
-
LEAST Favourite of 2009s best selling singles
bucket loads of crap but I guess "Meet Me Halfway" would be on top of all that.

Predictions for 2011
well, luckily Britney hasn't been big for a while now. what she needs now is a 'Bionic' style comeback lol I wish Hurts got more recognition in their home country the way they did in Germany or Poland but I reckon it's rather unlikely.

YTD T50 Albums (with estimated sales)
This year's bestsellers list looks quite scarry, especially the top part of it. I hope at least Paolo Nutini, Florence & The Machine, Mumford & Sons and Plan B all surpass the boring Alicia Keys in the end.
