  1. It's a scandal. Blurred Lines is utter crap!
  2. None of the three candidates deserves this number 1 spot. Calvin Harris has a generic and uninspired track, 1D's song is childish and they have had their fair share of success in the albums chart while Lily Allen bores me to death with her dire rendition of a great Keane classic.
  3. Lily Allen murdered such a fantastic Keane song and took this sleep inducing version to the top :o Bastille's mashup isn't that impressive even though I'd have obviously preferred them to grab the top spot this week. The whole Top 5 is actually very overrated sadly.
  4. I absolutely love that Rizzle Kicks song! One of the catchiest songs this year
  5. Hi everyone! I'm loving this Fatboy Slim track so much!!! Wasn't it a number 25 hit rather than 35?
  6. I hate to say I told you so but that Applause mess had number 5 written all over it since I first heard it. Great to see Arctic Monkeys in the Top 10, I wish the previous single stayed Top 20 but I guess it was inevitable it would miss out. And last but not least, finally we have a decent number one! John Newman, Naughty Boy and Rudimental aside, this year has seen some of the most atrocious songs topping the chart.
  7. It only reached number 5 ;)
  8. oh dear, that's country music! truly cringeworthy... I predict #43.

Well, the song being weak is a pretty good reason. We will never know how general public can react so we essentially don't need any reason to make a prediction. The only thing left is the feeling "oh yeah, this is an instant hit, people will love it / this sounds like a very generic and forgettable ditty". I had the second thought so on this basis I'm not predicting big things for it. On the basis of hype and name alone however, a Top 5 is possible hence I gave it the #5 peak. Was it enough of a "reason" now?

Right, it doesn't but *I think* it will not top the chart and aren't we here to predict?

No, I didn't. As far as I can remember though, none of her singles from the last album topped the chart so...

Very forgettable and unoriginal so I'm voting for #5

This new gaga track is dreadful so I don't think it stands any chance of going all the way to number 1. It will probably peak at #5 or so.
  14. I didn't even know that "Hurt" wasn't Johnny Cash's own song :o

#13 in my opinion but hopefully lower.
  16. How can we be predicting anything without listening to the actual song? Chart life isn't based on artists' names but on the music that is behind them. Beyoncé might get an immediate number one or even flop, depending on what she releases and how people judge it.
  17. That must be the worst Top 5 of the century (the Top 3 for sure is)! The whole Top 10 is in fact very weak.
  18. This One Direction song is surely one of the year's worst releases? How could it go number 1? :o
  19. Official single tag doesn't mean much these days. She had videos being played for "Rockstar" and "Wait Your Turn" as well as some collaborations probably. I think it was overexposure and "Hard" is truly dreadful. I can't imagine it clicking with any public to be fair. Your taste must be quite particular. :P
  20. Any guess on the year in which Rihanna stops scoring Top 10 hits with virtually every release? Good for her of course but she's becoming a bit tiring for me.
  21. I still like this Lumineers tune even though they copy Mumford & Sons so obviously.
  22. I was never expecting this DNA mess to be huge so am not at all surprised at its fall now.
  23. This one's so dull, if it wasn't for the film, no-one would have bought this boredom.
  24. Yay, heads up for Rudimental! A fabulous video. The song should have gone Top 10 for sure.
