  1. After the rather awful Labrinth song, this Skrillex one is absolutely brilliant!
  2. This song is so annoying!
  3. First time I'm listening to this song but I'm already liking it.
  4. Hello everyone! I just tuned in. Gosh, I just hate this Rita Ora song... :puke: I still don't know how it could scrape the top and persist for so long!!!

With all respect but this thread has a very week point. A number 1 is not a song that will be remembered forever as massive (especially as it's too subjective to state which song is memorable and which one is not) but the one that sold the most copies in a certain period of time. There's nothing like a non-Number 1 in relation to singles that actually did reach the top!
  6. Valentine's Day didn't certainly harm its popularity... Nothing's Real But Love ;) There's a new video gaining big airplay out as well.
  7. I really don't like this Lego House song, it's so ordinary and bland.
  8. No, it's underperforming almost everywhere, flopping in some other big markets such as Australia or Germany. So bored of Christina Perri...
  9. Hello everyone! Great start to the chart this week with fantastic tunes from M83 and Maverick Sabre! Lil'Wayne delivers an average, pretty boring tune so duly enters low and I'm glad Madonna's song is flopping because as a fan, I couldn't be more disappointed with this comeback. R.I.O still here? such a generic track
  10. That is very subjective what is unmemorable and what is not. Dominick The Donkey will definitely be memorable for me for instance :D
  11. I know but the name you gave to them is a bit contradictory :P
  12. Non-#1s? They were all proper #1s! Their chart life was short though hence they duly don't appear in the year end Top 100.

I hate all of these post Christmas returns... Maroon 5, LMFAO, Ed Sheeran, One Direction, Christina Perri and especially this utter rubbish by Flo Rida should have all been dead by now when it comes to singles. The only positive note is Coldplay's number one hit although I wouldn't mind having The Military Wives atop again (even though I love one week-long charttoppers). In albums I'm positively surprised by Ed Sheeran's rise to the top (I didn't see him on HMV offer to be honest). I don't particularly like the guy but if he manages to shift enough copies of his + album, it might stand a tiny chance of surpassing Gaga in the year-end chart (wishful thinking...). He must sell a whole lot to manage that. The task will be easier for Jessie J's Who You Are that is already going in the right direction being Top 10 at the moment while Born This Way is sitting 3 places lower. I fear she fails to accomplish this yearly number 7 by a couple of hundreds though.
  14. Just like I wrote in another thread I purchased the following ones KASABIAN - Velociraptor! FRANZ FERDINAND - Tonight (Deluxe Edition) THE RACONTEURS - Consolers Of The Lonely For Christmas gifts I got MADONNA - I'm Going To Tell You A Secret AEROSMITH - The Very Best Of
  15. I bought today KASABIAN - Velociraptor! FRANZ FERDINAND - Tonight (Deluxe Edition) THE RACONTEURS - Consolers Of The Lonely
  16. If you take peaks into account, even Swagger Jagger will be a smash hit, just like you noticed. The "Hit" tag can only be added based on a chart performance, longevity, long term chart run and, above all, overall sales. Of course peaks are also important but they can't determine a song becoming a hit. Besides your list looks like a wikipedia source including countries that don't even have official singles charts (Poland, Slovakia) and those that have multiple charts (Belgium, Japan). Not that I hate the song (I wasn't even bothered to listen to it properly to be honest), I just expressed my opinion about the list's accuracy.
  17. Actually it was a flop almost everywhere, a very short runner in places where it managed to chart high. Anyway, I chose 2 songs of Adele and Olly Murs.
  18. Coldplay for me
  19. Florence and The Machine
  20. Unsurprisingly "21" for the win
  21. It's meant to be about the best, not the worst ones!  Example for me.
  22. The singles list is definitely worse by miles!
  23. Hi all! Such a great start of the chart with James Morrison, Sak Noel and Dappy was ruined by number 37's crap... I'm looking forward some new entries todays, I'm sick and tired of these long runners. I miss so much the singles plummeting from number one straight to the bottom of the chart like it used to happen in the noughties. Good to see Example debuting although the new song is quite average.
