  1. What's exactly so funny about it?
  2. There used to be some classy urban / r&b / hip hop music in the past (Missy Elliott, Busta Rhymes, Destiny's Child, Mary J. Blige, Dr. Dre) but nowadays it's even hard to call some of the ones I quoted above real music, they're just random vulgar rapping about nothing. I can't believe how quickly the quality of charts' content has decreased. Luckily the albums chart still looks decent enough.
  3. I haven't been closely following the charts for some time now but the amount utter rubbish has now reached immense levels :o I seriously can't remember as many unlistenable songs in the Top 100... streaming is killing the charts :( All of the following ones are below abomination level: DJ Khaled ~ Wild Thoughts (feat. Rihanna and Bryson Tiller) Calvin Harris ~ Feels (feat. Pharrell Williams, Katy Perry and Big Sean) French Montana ~ Unforgettable (feat. Swae Lee) David Guetta ~ 2U (feat. Justin Bieber) Major Lazer ~ Know No Better (feat. Travis Scott, Camila Cabello and Quavo) Demi Lovato ~ Sorry Not Sorry Drake ~ Signs DJ Khaled ~ I'm the One (feat. Justin Bieber, Quavo, Chance The Rapper and Lil Wayne) Lil Uzi Vert ~ XO TOUR Llif3 Yungen ~ Bestie (feat. Yxng Bane) Ariana Grande ~ One Last Time Calvin Harris ~ Slide (feat. Frank Ocean and Migos) Post Malone ~ Congratulations (feat. Quavo) J Hus ~ Did You See Fifth Harmony ~ Down (feat. Gucci Mane) Cheat Codes ~ No Promises (feat. Demi Lovato) Hardy Caprio ~ Unsigned (feat. One Acen) Future ~ Mask Off Kendrick Lamar ~ HUMBLE. Lauv ~ I Like Me Better Travis Scott ~ Butterfly Effect Bugzy Malone ~ Memory Lane (feat. Tom Grennan) 21 Savage ~ Bank Account Not3s ~ Aladdin Bruno Mars ~ That's What I Like Lotto Boyzz ~ No Don Justin Timberlake ~ Can't Stop The Feeling! Not3s ~ Addison Lee (Peng Ting Called Maddison) Macklemore ~ Glorious (feat. Skylar Grey) J Hus ~ Fisherman (feat. MoStack and MIST) Justin Bieber ~ Love Yourself J Hus ~ Spirit Auli'I Cravalho ~ How Far I'll Go French Montana ~ A Lie (feat. A boring week for new releases, I just hope Calvin Harris flops with this urban mess.
  5. This chart is such a disaster with all this rubbish urban influx :o seriously it's scary what people stream.
  6. Because he's simply a bigger act.
  7. Not only singles are charting  Besides it's always funny when big stars underperform or flop, especially with safe material.
  8. Just like every song from her basically.
  9. "Sober" is also one of my favourite Pink songs, "Try" would probably be the best one with "Just Give Me A Reason" and "Family Portrait" not far behind.
  10. Probably from America, like 90% of all the rubbish on the chart...
  11. oh no, that monster's back to pollute the charts again... :( hopefully it'll quickly start falling
  12. Virtual Insanity is definitely their biggest hit and a classic 90s song.
  13. I knew that Kings of Leon have been very relevant for a long while now.
  14. Those two MO acts are not the same thing? :D

Hey Ya was quite a big hit indeed but surely not an "iconic" one. Arguably even their "Ms. Jackson" could be better remembered by many. Macy Gray's "I Try" had a similarly stable chart run in those days of dynamic charts yet I wouldn't necessarily call it "the biggest song to never reach number 1".

If the UK decides to leave the EU, it will be a disaster for all of us. It will mean that the world isn't going in the right direction of peace, reunification and cooperation. The question should be: do you prefer building bridges or walls. I'm really hopeful the EU stays strong as it is.

  20. Hello, does anybody know where this Madonna re-release fell to in Tuesday's update?
  21. Oh yes, this "Panda" rubbish is absolutely disgusting. :puke:
  22. These new Drake's tracks are absolutely atrocious, I will never get the fuss over that guy. Hopefully Sia will still make it to the top miraculously.
  23. Dear God, this Rihanna track can even hardly be called a song, how can anyone on Earth like it let alone buy it? :o It's a proof that music means nothing nowadays.

Not necessarily. In the 80s it could have been liked a lot less than in 2009, another generation, another taste. Besides the circumstances made the lyrics mean much more than they did originally.
