  1. a kid that wants to drink will find a way to get a drink whether their parents allow it or not. my whole issue with this is should parents break the law with their kids and the answer is no. the limit is 21. wait till you're 21 and go for it. a person with an addictive personality will find SOMETHING to be addicted to. also, kids tend to mimic their parents behavior. be responsible and educate the kiddies.
  2. best live show ever besides prince! money and time well spent. i enjoyed their older songs as well so i am now on a search for their first two cd's.
  3. interesting, i could only find the new york times reporting on this in the us. wonder why the secrecy? this is the first i've heard of this as well.
  4. *sigh* mexico mexico i had never even considered the drug aspect of things. it appears as tho the government likes to turn its head away from this problem and furthermore encourage it. bank of america even offered credit cards to them at one point. they act like the mexicans are this HUGE problem and then turn around and do little to nothing about it. there are immigrants who get deported repeatedly and end up right back here. my main concern is the lack of education which turns into lack of opportunity which turns into a life of crime. we have enough of that with our OWN citizens yet we've considered offering illegal immigrants citizenship. did anybody here about the mexican kidnapping negotiator/educator getting kidnapped in broad daylight from a cafe? how ironic.
  5. a second package? did the first one work? over here i don't see where the bailout money has done anything but keep the banks open. they still aren't lending more or extending credit to businesses. also, the chancellor stated that the banks have to promise to lend more to consumers but didn't say how much more. very shady. i'm sure the banks will find a way to get around most of the stipulations required in the bailout package. recessions suck but this has to run its course.

now i like every single last song i'm about to list but in all honesty it's starting to grind my gears. at least ONE of these folks can actually sing but has decided to join the crowd with this auto-tune business. here goes: this is the one guy who can actually sing without this mess. jamie foxx ft t-pain "blame it" 4mRhMIzyhRE t-pain ft luda "chopped n skrewed" xPzdsHKTdMg ron browz "jumpin out" z3uxBnB7G3Y i mean does EVERYBODY have to do it? who's next? beyond say? lol i just can't take it man. the music industry sure knows how to run things smooth into the ground. :banghead: no mas por favor!
  9. :puke2: no. i don't play with food like that.
  10. embedded racism = unconscious racism that was clearly the case.

  13. lil wayne irks me. anyways, only 65,000 copies? that's unfortunate. she's pretty, can REALLY sing and can dance. i loved her singles. she just wasn't promoted well and that's her record labels fault. hopefully Universal treats her better. also, she looks like a lil girl even with the extra make up and itty bitty clothes.....that face is so little girlish. i'm not sure what they can do about that.
  14. song is hot and bangs in the clubs. the beat carries it. first time i heard was actually while i was in new york (of course) last month and they played the hell out of that song on the radio.
  15. arctic monkeys are very british which is why i like them. the difference between them and say....coldplay or amy whinehouse is that their accent is more pronounced in their music and they are inclined to use more of the british slang phrases. people who i have introduced them to have said they remind them of the beatles. they aren't really rock n roll or alternative or country or pop or r&b which is the type of music that gets the most play here. and mainstream music here is pretty sucky in my opinion.
  16. the last thing americans were worried about in 2008 was buying a cd. i actually took public transportation for the first time. gas prices were just dumb.
  17. i love that lady gaga song.
  18. yes i feel sorry for these people. some of them worked for their money but just in a different more profitable way than the average person. they were investing their money for future use which is the smart thing to do HOWEVER they had far too much trust in this dude. it's plain old dumb to just give someone your money and not know where it is going. this man was sending out fake statements on a monthly/quarterly basis and people thought what they were reading was valid when those numbers represented nothing. i blame the regulators. why investigate now? the money is gone. the SEC is a joke. bottom line is the "investigators" that should have initially uncovered this scam were more than likely paid off. that's just how it works. i feel sorry for anyone who loses their money to dishonesty. the thing i don't get is how his own sons didn't know. they were the closest ones to the scam. i find that hard to believe. if you are actually looking over a fund then you have access to the investments and the movements so they knew there was really no investing going on. they should be charged as well.
  19. i just youtubed it. when i saw her perform live i wasn't really moved. her voice lacked strength altho very pretty. in the recorded version for the single she sounds a lot better. she can only get better really.
  20. here is his new single which i like. it's not a video. just a pic of him. i tried to find the song without his face but no such luck lol UO6Tvziga-M
  21. how ironic. with all the altar boys getting their booties popped by the local priests you would think he would focus a little more on home (his own church). i mean really, lawsuit after lawsuit over men that had to endure years of being molested by priests and he wants to preach to the world. he needs to shut up. like seriously. he doesn't even count when it comes to this issue.

well i have a crush on him<-------i just wanted to say that lol anyways, i think he could use some voice lessons but at least he's easy on the eyes. he should PROBABLY stick to acting. i didn't listen to anything you posted but i have heard some of his live stuff and i wasn't moved.
  23. i'm having a hard time finding any of their cd's in stores around here. i JUST found because of the times but i think i'll have to order only by the night. i'm going to see them in madison square garden next month and i'm hype right now. :yahoo:
  24. jaz is raw talent. bust your windows is relatable to people who don't even want to relate. love the song tho i've never busted anybody's windows. i promise.
  25. the song is hot and it bangs in the club.
