I like the song a lot more now I've watched the video. Wish it didn't have that "think it went ohhhh" in the chorus as it really grates on me :unsure: Have upgraded my score out of 10 to 6... For now. Harry/Marcel :heart:

It sounds like a bad football anthem pinched from one of The Wanted's songwriting sessions. As Chez Wombat said the start of the song is promising, but it descends into nothingness afterwards. There's a weird disconnect between the verses and the chorus, and all the try-hard shrieking in the verses just made me never want to listen to it again. You can see what they're trying to achieve, but this is what happens when people write songs for/with a heterogenous group of guys who feel they should be progressing sonically. No doubt the best songs are on the cutting room floor, and the record company chose this one thinking it sounded progressive as well as "fun" and "catchy" They fare best with ballads like Moments - they ought to stick with that, instead of trying to recreate What Makes You Beautiful and failing every time. Marks out of 10: 3 :mellow:

Indeed - she sold more albums than Cher Lloyd and Little Mix, but some people can't see past the singles chart.

Gotta be you (what was their record company thinking releasing this instead of "Moments"?) If "More than this" is included, it'll be number 3 for me ahead of "Kiss You". Just for Harry's voice on the chorus, might even have it in 2nd place.

They need to decide on the new single pdq as the album isn't going to hit platinum sales (sold not shipped) otherwise!

The album has sold approximately 240,000 in total: ~93,000 in 2008 and ~146,000 in 2009.

No that was for gold! She had a silver cert in november (60,000 sales) then a gold cert a few weeks later for 100,000 sales. That's the last one she's had. The one she gave you was specially made for you, as they are usually issued for sales of 60,000, 100,000, 300,000 and multiples of 300,000.

That's for sales to retailers. The figure I quoted is actual sales to punters. The former is always higher than the latter (obviously otherwise the shelves would be empty) It will get to 250,000 this week though

The boy does nothing has been in the top 10 for ages. I hope this doesn't affect Breathe slow when it's released there.

His Born to do it album was good but he comes across as a humourless prick, and that's why I don't like him. That he hasn't has a memorable song for several years doesn't help.

The intro is great but that's all the song has going for it!
