I'm with you there, I don't want her to flop and the youtube comments are positive so looking good!

I really want another top 10 hit for her just because, but more importantly I want the song to sell the album and the more prominent it is in the charts the more likely this will happen! I would be surprised if it "flops" as it seems to be well received all round.

Do you know how many copies the album sold in America, and how it compares with the other Idols winners? A Timbaland collab sounds promising, if he can do somethng like what he did with Aaliyah it could be the best abum ever. Jordin's by far my favorite idol winner :cheer:

I don't follow his career closely but I can remember him cropping up here and there, TV, radio and print media. He also got massive airplay particularly from capital fm. He may even have topped the airplay chart or been in the top 2. It wasn't for want of promotion and I'm still baffled as it was his first decent song since leave right now. Requesting songs on radio stations went out in the mid noughties, it's all about the playlist now and no amount of requesting makes a difference. That big scandal of last year uncovered that, even though Dermot still asks people to text in questions for his PRERECORDED show :rolleyes:

I hope it doesn't go the way Will Young's Grace went. It entered the chart after he performed it on x factor and everyone thought it was going to be a huge hit. This was its chart run in the end. 35-47-61-63-33

I like it more and more with every listen, but I prefer others on the album.

I'm not bothered about it being on radio 1 or 2, but radio 2 contributes a lot to the overall airplay chart, therefore the higher it is the better. But there's still time!

I am disappointed it didn't get onto the radio 2 playlist. I hope that's not a bad sign as TBDN was on radio 2 before radio 1 playlisted it.

Why has Coolio charted and why is he climbing? Does he sing the song on CBB?

The song entering the charts this early is great advertising, as it means prominence on itunes and it's likely to be played on the chart shows. It also means DJs know it's popular so may be more inclined to support it. Once airplay kicks in it could even get into the top 10 before the physical release. I'm not that bothered about its eventual chart position although the higher the better. If this helps sell the album then it's done its job!

I find her immensely irritating but this is better than Smile so I went for number 1 for 2-3 weeks.

I think the comic relief climb is mid or late february so plenty of time to promote the single in the fortnight beginning the 2nd of feb.

The song I have on repeat atm is Cinderella Shoe :heart: Not sure about it for single though. I also like Italians do it better. I don't listen to the album the whole way through, I usually listen to: The boy does nothing Play me Let's get excited Cinderella shoe Italians do it better Chasing ghosts I'm Thru

I agree about Don't let me Go, nice song but not single material. Play me and Let's get excited are too similar to come after each other I think.

A revolting pig that sells a sh*tload of records! That's the only reason I'd like a collaboration. Hand it over is my 2nd least favourite song on the albm after the awful ooh baby :blink:

Good to know I'm not alone in my Play Me appreciation What 2 songs would people like to see as the 3rd and 4th singles? (assuming there'll be a 4th single) I'll go for Play Me in May, then Chasing Ghosts in August. I don't always approve of the "brand new single not in album then release deluxe version of album" thing but if they go down that route, a collaboration with Gary Barlow would be ace! He said he'd love to work with her and he picked her for the Mt Kilimanjaro climb.

If it remains in the 30s/40s until it's released, it's unlikely to chart high as people would have already bought it, just spread over weeks. I hope it has a positive effect on her album, that's the most important thing.
