I'm just looking at the top 40 for this week 10 years and a new entry at number 17 is Seagulls Ska with "Tom Hark (We Want Falmer)" I had no memory of this single at all and it isn't on Spotify. I found it on YouTube and found out the following information which is quite interesting...."Seagulls ska "we want falmer" reached number 17 in the uk charts January 2005, the song was made to help the campaign for the new stadium at Falmer,Seagulls ska was a band with Attilla the Stockbroker on vocals,actor Ralph Brown and members from Too Many Crooks and the Fish Brothers. It's a shame more people didn't vote but it was a heavy going one. I love Madonna but she's had a lot of weak album tracks. She's definitely a singles artist rather than an albums artist. I always particularly hated I Love New York it should have been so much better. It was obviously going to be skewed with only 12 peoples votes and always to Ray Of Light onwards due to the age of voters. But brilliant commentary and I will listen to songs I've previously ignored.

I agree, the top 10 has been the most disappointing part of this countdown for me so far. the bulk of my 10 & 11s dropped out some time ago.... 11 Causing A Commotion 56 11 Crazy For You 30 11 Open Your Heart 16 10 Cherish 26 10 American Life 45 10 Who's That Girl 39 10 Justify My Love 25 10 I'll Remember 49 10 You'll See 29 10 True Blue 34 To come.... 10 Like A Prayer 10 Hung Up 10 Vogue But I think this is more to do with the fact I'm 35 years old so my favourite Madonna era was 1987-1990. I even gave Dear Jessie a 9 and that came 65th!!! A lot of people who have voted in this are somewhat younger so hence why this is so far up. It seems fans from the Ray Of Light onwards era make up the bulk of the vote Get Together so high up is the biggest joke as it's rotten. Great presentation though, I've become somewhat hooked and check up regularly on this countdown I'll miss it when it's gone. Like A Prayer is also clearly the best album with many different styles.

Thanks everyone the official charts website is so clunky to deal with. I used to love Chartstats until it was stopped in it's tracks. Polyhex looks interesting, but this site you just type in the box the date and it comes up with the complete chart same for international charts it was amazing but I've never found it again and read about it on here.
