Music consumption has completely changed, and she’d be appealing to almost an entirely new audience. I don’t think being “boring” (which I don’t think she is) is really a factor in how well your music does, if you have a good song and it’s relateable and marketed well, then it should do well. Most importantly, if it’s cool to like you, then people will like you and listen to you. That’s where social media and high-profile social collabs come in.

:lol: :lol: another “I Am” behind-the-scenes Soe on DS said LL6 will have Spirit-era promo. I really really hope they also take into consideration how things have changed, e.g. the influence of social media promo. I hope they can score some good YouTube collabs and social media buzz, it just seems to be the way to go now. I’ve seen a quite a few tweets recently (especially from Americans) about how “the gays failed Leona”, “we slept on Leona” etc :P this is the sort of twitter buzz that can help make a hit, if Lele’s team can manage to get stan twitter on board, she could honestly be huge.

Compared to previous years, her 2018-19 has been fantastic! So excited about Songland. Will be great if the song is released in Q3; could be late summer hit and a precursor to OMS.

Run was phenomenal, she sounded brilliant. Can’t wait for the next era.

:o I adore Un Love Me, it just sounds like a textbook Leona hit, like you couldn't mistake it for anyone else if that makes sense. I really hope the next album sounds more like Glassheart than I Am.

1. Ariana's album will be massive, but not critically acclaimed. 2. Cardi B's profile will get a lot smaller and she may not have any top 10 solo hits. 3. Miley Cyrus will release a new album along with a banger lead single and it'll outperform her last album. 4. Little Mix will have another top 10 hit, but a quiet year other than that. 5. Christina Aguilera will collaborate with a major artist, maybe Mark Ronson/David Guetta, and it'll do fairly well. 6. Leona Lewis will release and do better than I Am or Glassheart with a top 40 single. 7. Adele will tease a release but'll end up waiting until early 2020.

For me its her vocals on Power, she sounds amazing, and the song just feels empowering. I love I Am and Essence of Me, but not a fan of Ladders, ALS or Best and the Worst. Edit: I’m relistening to Ladders.. and I can’t remember why I wasn’t a fan, it’s great. I feel like the chorus is weaker than the verses and the bridge, but still catchy.

Power and I Got You would’ve been great singles for I Am, her live performances of the songs are also solid so it would’ve worked well. Mind you I don’t know what they were thinking with the electro-style effects on the bridge of Power. Take that out and I think it would’ve been a very strong lead single.

Singles wise I would've definitely gone with Glassheart and I actually think Un Love Me is a strong BL-style ballad that could've done really well. Other than that I'm undecided, I honestly feel almost every song on Glassheart was single-worthy (except maybe Favourite Scar and Stop the Clocks, and I to You is not very radio-friendly).

Sugar, Glassheart, Shake You Up, When It Hurts and Un Love Me are some of my all time favourite Lee songs. It's so upsetting how Trouble and Lovebird were the only singles.

I was thinking about a deluxe version, would she have the rights to release one since she’s not with Syco? I’d also think she should give it a couple more years though, depending on how OMS continues to do. If it grows every year then a 10 year anniversary CWL edition could be mega (presuming album sales are still a thing by then).

Yeah I think most people assume artists get paid to do that. It was only recently I found out that Graham Norton’s guests don’t get paid to turn up, I found that unbelievable :unsure: but makes sense in retrospect.
