Step Back In Time: The Definitive Collection ● Part 3
Kylie gets a hit and everyone starts talking about a new greatest hits what

Tension ● 2nd Single
This is Dannii's fault for being at the NTA's, strutting to Troye's Rush, instead of being home streaming Tension, Padam Padam and 10 out of 10

Spice Girls - 'Forever'
A young fan living in a country that uses the metric system. While I doubt they'd say anything close to a quote like that, if they did they'd say "pounds".

1st WEEK PREDICTION • MY LOVE
Probably somewhere between 15-20. It doesn't have the debut single hype factor going for it, so there's inevitably going to be a bit less interest - them pushing it can off set some of that maybe. Beyond that? Depends on the support she can gather, but overall it's more important for this single to stay on the charts.

Tension ● 2nd Single
Yes!!! It really helped drive Padam Padam's success once they picked it up and they're onboard much earlier this time around.

Lisa Scott-Lee - 'Never or Now' (Unleashed Deluxe Edition)
I just had to explain Plastic Pop's tendency to delay their releases at another forum :arrr:

Lisa Scott-Lee - 'Never or Now' (Unleashed Deluxe Edition)
To be fair, I don't think *she* went to Plastic Pop - I think they came to her (or her former label / management) wanting to license it for release.

Alexis Strum thread - 2002 Xenomania album now released!
Unfortunately, there doesn't really seem to be any new tracks other than those that's already out there, but I'd assume that's par on course as I doubt the full album was ready when she got dropped from Warner as I imagine the plan was to release 2-3 singles and then the album. Coming On Strong is a song that really could've been sold off to another artist like Nothing Good and Still Standing was. ETA: I wonder why they didn't tack on Yesterday (Silence)? It's bangin'. I guess because it was released as York feat Alaska: xbm68Wz9SEE

Tension ● 2nd Single
The fact that it's still number one and increasing is very encouraging - after all this is how Padam Padam initially took off since the pure fanbase downloads have already been done.

Tension ● 2nd Single
Yes, exactly, which is why I said they could put out the extended mix (potentially instrumental?) next week on digital and then cassettes on week 3 since week 4 it'll get a boost from the album release. If it's not ready to fly on its own by then... well it was never meant to happen.

Tension ● 2nd Single
A better hold than I thought!
-
Tension ● 2nd Single
Hopefully - next week they could do the extended mix / instrumental digitally, then on week 3 the cassettes, then on week 4 it'll get a boost by the album release... if it hasn't taken off by itself on streaming, then it's just not meant to be. I know some people stare themselves blind at peak position, but what made people / radio stations take notice of Padam Padam was it having longevity. Having it enter at #8 and then falling down to #58 in the second week is a far worse chart "story" than it remaining stable / potentially climbing a bit week-by-week.
-
Tension ● 2nd Single
I don't think it's bad that they're throwing a bit more formats out there now - it's going to get a boost either way in chart week 4 when the album is released either way.

One Touch - 20th Anniversary Re-Issue
I think Overload was held back a bit because Mutya was still 15 at that point so they were restricted in how much they could promote / work. But yeah, it had a good chart run and is definitively more well-remembered than most #6 hits.

Sam Ryder - Mountain
Exactly - last year you barely needed to sell 200k to go in the year-to-date top ten; the top 45 sold 100k, everything below under; number 100 sold 68k and so on. That's not even keeping in mind that there's a lot of old albums and compilations in there, so who knows how it would look if you only looked at "current" albums? Silver for an album realistically isn't bad in this day and age.

Tension ● 2nd Single
As other people have said - the fact that she could survive the weekend effect on the charts is a sign that Padam Padam really helped her improve her streaming numbers. Hopefully it'll climb in tomorrow's update as I think Padam Padam re-entered either on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Timbaland, Justin Timberlake & Nelly Furtado • Keep Going Up
This just shows you that some things are just a moment in time that's better left there. This is, at best, underwhelming. I had kind of hoped for a hit for Furtado, but this isn't it...

Tension ● 2nd Single
It's funny, but listening to this on my little device with headphones I kind of remained unimpressed, but on a proper stereo system it works much better. I think will go off in clubs.
