It's funny because I'm not really a huge fan of the Tension cover, but I don't really care for the whole "facial beauty shot" type of covers (though it's one of the better ones I've seen). Golden just represents the album perfectly.

It's not as if Louise has much else going on :P

Perhaps, but on the other hand, the leaks happened for a reason - the announcement was at least likely sent out and someone broke the embargo early (I wouldn't want to be in that persons shoes). I do think the plan was however always to release the album information early (obviously not the LQ leaks) since their entire strategy hinges on making sure to have a lot of pre-orders with a lot of different formats. I think we'll probably have various formats rolled out during the next few months as pre-orders fill up.

Not really surprised to be honest, I just don't think she's really interested in doing the album cycle slog and the profits with a multiple formats, that gets a high peak but sells like 10k, is clearly to small for her too bother. She doesn't seem interested to tour either besides one off shows, so it makes no sense for her to record new material.

I've said this since the first time she performed the song live and I'll keep saying it: she needs backing vocalists to pick up the slack at times. It's not like this is a song where it's all about her ~vocals~ either; it's meant to be a fun pop song performance so it's not something that I necessarily see as a bad thing / "cheating" either.

To be honest, I'm kind of disappointed that she didn't opt to go with another producer for this one; I know she and Ian are close friends, but it does feel like a bit of a wasted opportunity as I'm sure she could possibly get some minor funding/interest to work with another producer. Ian can be a bit hit-or-miss.

Whenever I hear about "gay dating shows" I remember Dan Savage's comments when Logo aired that hilariously awful "Prince Charming" show (aka "gay bachelor") and how dating shows are inevitably built upon sexual scarcity - ie a bunch of heterosexual males / females competing for the attention of one person of the opposite sex. Because really, why would a bunch of gay men in group compete for one person's affections instead of just moving onto the next cast member (which is partly what happened on Prince Charming, even if they didn't show it on camera).

I think it's mostly because Kylie usually ignores it on her tours and such. I wonder if that's partly because it wasn't written especially for her.

He's also been the main producer for the last three Bananarama albums so I'd say he can be fairly hit-or-miss in the sense that he can go very bog-standard pop. Still, nice to have something musically new from Dannii, even if I'm fairly sure this'll lead nowhere.

To be fair, since none of the tracks ended up being used and only WOMAN continued to be worked on it was probably just rough demos.
