  1. She got branded as being "difficult". If that was right or wrong is another thing, but she didn't give off the best impression to me when she did that Harvey Goldsmith show "Get Your Act Together".
  2. It's a shame really that she won't put out new actual music, because I feel that in this market she'd likely get a top ten album if she went all out with physicals. Considering how many times she's now milked Neon Nights (2007, 2018), the fact that she can sell out 1000+ so fast on pre-orders is a good sign.
  3. There's Something About Gerita is one of my favourite mid-00s pop artifacts along with Totally Scott-Lee.
  4. Makes sense - doesn't make sense to pay Initial Talk to do a remix and then not try to do something more with it.
  5. Officially first top 40 hit for them: 38 8,707 FLO feat. Missy Elliott - Fly Girl

The original versions of her solo hits will be on it, so those reworked versions are essentially just bonuses.

Not Radio 2 playlisting that Meghan Trainor abomination...

  9. She probably would've had more success if she went with the original Disco Sister idea, but then again everything was just a mess with Passion.
  10. ^ She just says that there's no newly recorded music about to come out and doesn't exactly deny there's no re-release in the pipeline.
  11. I'm talking about the CDx7 release. The Sebastian Krieg remix is on CD6 (Come and Get It). It Won't Work Out is track 14 on the Neon Nights disc and appears to be the normal album version.
  12. The Sebastian Krieg remix (which was the hidden track) is on the Come and Get It cd single. I assume it's the album mix of It Won't Work Out that's track 14 (the Ross Collum mix aka the single edit is on the C&GI single).
  13. I assume it's the same medley she did during a bunch of performances - Put The Needle On It / I Begin To Wonder / Who Do You Love Now? fUtxSZZ84Ig CCPb0ReuhDY
  14. Probably - she's doing this by herself so it'll come up when it comes up basically.
  15. I'll probably get the 7 CD version + CD/DVD.
  16. @1641417369355468800 Glad to see artists who got eaten up and spat out in the music industry taking things into their own hands! I loved Cocoon (the album) and was gutted when it was cancelled. Stay Until Summer is amazing. Her Xenomania stuff was also great (Still Standing was of course recorded by Kylie and someone recorded an inferior version of Nothing Good About This Goodbye; surprised Xenomania didn't recycle more tracks from that).
  17. 100% this :kink: I remember thinking Kylie having success in the US at the grand old age of 33 was late in the game, now I'm like, that's not old at all. :heehee: In all honesty, these age posts are just giving me anxiety now.
  18. Yeah, I think no matter what they released after All I Wanna Do would've given Girl a chance / longer chart-run with the odd release pattern. With that said, I do think she could've scored another hit single or two; Movin' Up might not be a fan favourite, but it always felt like it was stuck onto there as a safe hit. I can't help but think Everything I Wanted was chosen due to Dannii's boyfriend at the time shooting the video for cheap.
  19. I think it's hard to say considering with the odd release pattern the album and Everything I Wanted had - with that said, Eternal struck me as having the same issues as AATW (and other dance labels), ie they knew how to roughly market hit singles but were completely lost when it came to albums. I think Disrememberence would've at least gotten more airplay if released after All I Wanna Do; if that had led to more success for the song that Everything I Wanted is something we can only speculate on, but I'd like to think it might've ended up in the lower top ten (the album still would've bombed though).
  20. Random, but (supposedly?) total sales for Spice and Spice World Finland are actually available here: https://www.ifpi.fi/tutkimukset-ja-tilastot...q=Spice%20Girls Spice: 76 375 Spice World: 92 178

I kind of expected these "reworks" to be "acoustic" versions; glad to hear I'm wrong because it's a bop and a half now. :music:
  22. That was a dreadful performance, not really helped by the heavy echo and her cold, obv. Nice thing: the animations on the screen looks good, but I hope this isn't a preview of her overall performance as it needs to be big to sell the song.
  23. Fergalicious actually peaked at #105 due to them cancelling the single.
  24. I think the issue is that none of the songs are really that type of "breakthrough hit" material. Been There Done That is probably the strongest of the bunch (but then again, I'd assume it was given extra attention once it was picked as a single). Still, some tracks could've been cute album tracks for other pop artists at the time; I think they needed more diversity though (both production and lyricwise - it's all very "we're fierce girls and you suck").
