I don't think they should plan for physicals for week 1 tbh - her download sales will probably be the highest that week, so it would be better to boost the physical number another week. But I agree, plan maybe a physical release on week 3/4 from the start, with another boost somewhere around week 6/7, then start gearing up for the next single.

Unfortunately, it only seems to be sold via their webstore at the moment which will likely further soften sales tbh.

I feel like he's in such an odd position in the sense that he's perceived as bigger than he actually is, but the truth is that most of his singles just end up not charting. Them charting - and ending up hits - is more the exception rather than the rule.

Why? Kylie doesn't need it and big features doesn't tend to sell albums (which is what BMG is ultimately interested in). I wouldn't like some tacked on feature on a song for the sake of it...

I have somewhat of a sympathy that it's a one-man operation and most of these releases are just purely fan service, but you'd think with Lisa even supporting this release he'd be focused enough to get this one right. Plus at this point he's handled enough releases to know to get them lined up for printing before setting a release date. This is shoddy.

How many did they print to begin with? Or are they for whatever reason just keeping this in print because reasons?

It was always a weird prospect of Mae Muller doing a solo headlining tour this early on when she's barely had a hit. Me, Myself & I haven't really done anything either unfortunately.

I mean, there's "done on the cheap" and "sounds like something Energise Records would turn their nose up at releasing". This cover falls in the latter category. It brings nothing new to the table, not even in the sense that it would bring the song to a wider audience. It's one thing to do a note-for-note cover of something that's a bit unknown, but this is just lazy with subpar production.

What's the purpose of doing a song exactly like the original, only with cheaper production? Like, I could get it if Euphoria was some unknown undiscovered gem, but it's probably one of the most famous Eurovision songs in the past decade.
