I cant actually believe this, i thought a top 5 placing with sales of 45k were certain. Its a shame actually, i mean Amelle must feel like a bad omen, but she's not at all - IMO she's the best thing the band has ever had/done. I think the problem is that Suga's sell albums off the back of their lead single (which is usually massive) so many people havent bought it after the average chart performance of 'Girls'. It could be saved with the next single (although i dont think it can leap back up from the depths of top 40/75 where it will be once NCD is released) and sell some more copies. Although we could be looking at their lowest selling album since 'One Touch' though, not good ... though they'll never get dropped.

It is amazing that it looks set to spend a second week in the top 10 (and maybe even top 5 if Geraldine's 16 copy lead decreses) after most of us though it would'nt even reach top 10 in its first week!

24.6k to be precise!! I am so, so, so happy for Girls Aloud. This track is such a grower and im so glad people have clicked with it. It seems like at least half the people hated it on first listen but now really like it. They are long overdue their 4th no.1 so here's to the girls! In other news, im so happy that The Saturdays are keeping up the momentum at no.6, could Geraldine possibly fall behind and give them at second week at #5? Either way im so happy its proven so many people wrong (the same with GA), it looks set to sell what ITIL has overall in 2 weeks time! Shame for Sugababes, it could rise to #7 or #6. Maybe 2 weeks before it would of gone top 5 but the competition is so hard this week. I'd be interested to see their sales... about 10/13k?

Lets not talk more about it being an X Factor number 1, as it isnt. Remember their performance got less than favourable reviews so its not like it even helped, lol!

The one thing in the GA massive's defense is that a number 1 single doesnt often come along for GA, so you cant blame us for getting over-excited once in a while!

It wouldnt be hilarious, it would be great. Only tomorrow can we start expecting it to go to #1, #2, #3. As i've made clear, im still not sure about #1.

I think one week is all we're gonna get. Think of all the people watching X Factor, all the fans of Austin, Diana, Alexandra, JLS. They will all buy that charity single next week but thats not a problem, not a surprise. GA getting their (hopefully) 4th no.1 is the best news ever.

I think its a case of why not change it?! Thats the album version, so the track would have been edited and changed to come up with the far superior single version!
