That promo is bloody impressive, better than The Sats, Suga's or GA's.

I agree that SKO and CTS (with NGA, Biology and Love Machine also deserving IMO) deserved no.1 if 'The Promise' gets it. But as a fan i just see it as taking their tally of 3 #1's to 4 ... only a good thing for the band. It will also inspire them to get/make even more chart-toppers. I think 'The Promise' has not only grown on people the most a song has in a while but has also opened GA to an even wider audience, i mean my mum can't stop whistling it and my mates mum is even off out to buy it as her first single in about 10 years! If 'The Promise' goes to the top, i think (unless some stupid dance act or novelty act steals it like most other times) 'The Loving Kind', by the sounds of the clip, will do it too.

Its 50/50 - ballads/up-tempo's. Some amazing ballads incl. 'Issues'. I cant wait until i buy this along with Pink's 'Funhouse' and GA's 'Live At The O2' dvd next monday from Woolworths!

Im really sorry to bring this up and kind of spark a GA vs Suga's b**ch again, but how the hell can you even comment on OOC when you havent even heard it yet?! Oh my goodness, talk about a low blow. You were just nattering on about how annoying it is when people brand an album 'diabolical' or 'awful' after they've heard it but then you go and suggest an album is going to be ridicuously safe without hearing it ... come on now! Its not like 'The Promise' is safe at all, a SKO re-hash would of been exactly that. BTW this album is growing on me, i've heard it in full bar (IMO) the awful 'Side Chick' three times now. 'Can We Call A Truce' is really nice but slightly annoying, along with another track which i cant think of the name but 'No Can Do', 'Every Heart Broken' and 'Hanging On A Star' are very nice indeed. This album will enter at no.4 with sales of just over 50k and spend three weeks top ten - theres my prediction.

Im hoping it beats TU's opening of sales (of 45k if im correct?) and sells 50k.

'Work' is amazing but the album version of 'Up' isnt a patch on the single version!

26,593 - thats the exact amount it sold last week, very nice one week total indeed. Thats over half of what ITIL has sold overall! Oh, i've been listening to a few tracks over on the Channel 4 site. 'Chasing Lights' in full is beautiful (lovely synths and lovely strings), their vocals are amazing too.

Add me to that list. I think after giving it a few more listens (painfully) that its DIABOLICAL.

Agreed, this has been a fantastic and varied chart. Highlight for me has to be The Saturdays going to #5 after nearly everyone predicted top 20. It bodes well for them in the future, i just hope it translates over to the album ... all i ask is top 10 with sales of over 200k (not much!).
