Girls Aloud - The Promise
Yeah, been played on Radio 1 a fair few times today and people saying they like it and that its a grower - which it is. No.1 with SCD and X Factor behind it and if Radio 1 get behind it so that people hear it enough times to come from liking it to loving it.

Girls Aloud • The Promise
Love it even more, Radio 1 played it again today in my college's lunch break and you could see quite a few eyes prick up. All my mates love it after a few listens.

Girls Aloud • The Promise
The brass parts and the bass are fantastic, it really is a great pop song after another listen this morning!

Girls Aloud - The Promise
Are you definatley sure, i thought the lines dont close until the sunday? Either way the girls are deffo on X Factor and will probs pre-record SCD as both studio's are based in London.

Girls Aloud - The Promise
I imagine the girls will be performing on the SCD results show which is on sunday i think, i know for a fact its confirmed that they're performing on X Factor on 25th. If Strictly Come Dancing happens then there is no way this song isnt going top 3 (and most likely no.1), 11 million people on the saturday, 9 million on the sunday and released on the monday will ensure at least 40k of those people will either buy or download the track.

Girls Aloud • The Promise
Played it again on Radio 1, deffo a grower and deffo radio friendly!

Leon Jackson - Don't Call This Love
He looks much better on the cover, i think this might just do well and go down good with the Shayne fans!

Girls Aloud • The Promise
Nadine and Cheryl (i never thought id say CHERYL!!!) make the song IMO. Nicola and Kim arent their best vocally, Sarah i think is better than those two on this. After 'Call The Shots', 'Sexy No No No!', Biology' and 'Something Kinda Oooh' this is my 5th most favourite Girls Aloud song EVER!!!

Girls Aloud - The Promise
I dont see how anyone in their right mind could say this will miss the top 10, after their first 18 singles have all gone top 10 how would this miss? Their best known now than ever and with their appearance on X Factor 11 million people will see this either 1/2 days before the release. Even if this wasnt one of their best songs (which it is, in their top 5 imo) it would still get top 10. Give it a chance, it really is a grower!

Girls Aloud • The Promise
The best bit melody-wise is the part where Nadine comes in ... 'Had enough...'

Girls Aloud - The Promise
Who-ever said outside of the top 10 either has a very, very bad judgement or is a GA hater. I seriously think no.1, with the help of X Factor and the fact its a grower.

Girls Aloud • The Promise
Its such a grower! I defy anyone to not at least LIKE it by the 3rd listen!

HAHAAA! Its the neverending story ... although even that ended.

Girls Aloud • The Promise
Yeah obviously Cheryl sweet talked Simon! This is the best piece of GA news since the single announcement. X Factor is the biggest amount of promo you can get and if the download is available from Sunday its happy days for the girls!

Girls Aloud • The Promise
Very good point, that has gotton me excited - maybe that will be the case. Its just i heard that Leona had the 27th slot but we shall see, if she goes first and GA go second then that would work out best for both.

Girls Aloud • The Promise
The live X Factor shows start on the 11th October with (apparently) Leon Jackson performing that week, so i imagine the girls will perform the week after (18th Oct) and then Leona on the 25th (as thats already a rumor). Release dates ; 13th Oct Leon Jackson – Don't Call This Love 27th Oct Girls Aloud - The Promise Leona Lewis – Forgive Me I'm hoping (even though i like it), Leon falls from anywhere near the top 3 by the time the girls release and im hoping that Leona's track will of already gained momentum and sales from downloads so that 'The Promise' can make a big impact with the download and physical released at the same time and it can help it sore up to the top 3 and hopefully no.1! Only other physical competition comes from Snow Patrol (13th Oct), Foo Fighters (20th Oct), Keane (20th Oct) and the god awful track from Dido (27th Oct). I seriously think with the profile the group now has, they have a really good chance of #1.

"Forgive Me" • Fourth Single
Jeese, well i wouldnt count on the video premiering until at least tuesday with them - the same thing happened to The Saturdays and Girls Aloud. They're a bunch of lazy sods working there.
