JJ's Dance Singles Chart #41
Cafe Del Mar-Vellous!!! http://i15.tinypic.com/2ujjd6e.jpg Yes its that time of year again when the classic anthem of the 90's gets remixed for the 1000th time. But alas there are great new mixes this time around, I am particularly impressed with Raul Rincon, Kenny Hayes and Tall Paul's interpretations. Raul injects a bit of funky house into the mix, Kenny Hayes sticks to what he knows best, full on trance and Paul, well he just delivers!!!! Amongst the scarce new entries this week are Armin Van Buuren, Miami Project Vs. Queen and De Souza. Kate Smith 'Party For The Weekend' (Positiva) Euro hit gets long overdue official release - remixes courtesy of Wally Lopez and Eric Smax & Thomas Gold. 07 09 Camille Jones 'The Creeps' (Data) US electro anthem gets signed by UK major with a corking rework from man of the moment Fedde le Grand. 08 02 Bodyrox Fe. Hey I'm back! TAW is back people
Hi there. I remember you. Great to have you back with us. You made a healthy contribution to the forum which was greatly received. Great to see now we have someone who can dish the dirt in Oz, am interested to hear what is big news over there. What are the biggest trax there at the moment???? Are Rogue Traders still pulling in the crowds? I would love to hear your radio show it sounds great, is there anyway we can receive it here?! Also great to hear the news about the new vocal on the Sunfreaks tune, I would love to hear that. The Andrea Britton vocal takes a while to grow on you. Good luck with MOS with that, it would be so cool if they signed it. Anyways, great to have you back and we will speak soon. JJ

I think so Scott. I only know of Raven Maize signing to Rulin/MOS but not Credence/Parlophone. This is also not the only time a track has been signed to CR2/Data, it happened with Steve Mac "That Big Track (Loving U More)" and also Data teamed up with Boss to give us Studio B "I See Girls".

No Data are not part of Positiva or vice versa. Data are an imprint of Ministry Of Sound and Positiva, EMI. EMI didnt want to sign all the licensing rights away to Data, so they agreed to co-sign the track. Sometimes this is necessary if either a record company is reluctant to completely license or rights require funds from two labels. Fedde is not only signed to Data but CR2 Records, but as Data are backed by MOS they have more money so that is why Fedde is normally labelled as signed to Data. But if surfaced on CR2 first and they are an independent.

Lil' Chris - "Gettin' Enough"

This massive Euro hit from German DJ Tillman Uhrmacher was caned to buggery on Dave Pearce's Dance Anthems show. To this date, when the mood takes me, I still play this. The breakdown is like no other. First signed to German Fog Area Trance, trance imprint of Fog Area Records. In early 2002, Sony's dance music outlet, Direction Records, (whose biggest hit was Jurgen Vries "Brave New World" with Charlotte Church), signed this beautiful trance gem. It went to #16 in the charts, which is not bad at all, for a part-instrumental trance tune. Boasting remixes from Minimalistix (remember Close Cover - Piano Track?!) and PPK (ResuRection!) this was a staple diet for all discerning trance DJs worth their salt. Please all hail the wonder!!!!
