  1. My mum saw this and she said that there was a nurse who wore a Christian cross on her necklace and she was forced to remove it as it was offensive. What about burkas? Also, remember the London bombings? One of the bombers escaped the country because he stole a woman's passport and escaped the country by wearing a burka as customs are not to check beneath the burka's so they don't cause offense. REALLY? WTF? THAT is why they should be banned. My opinion has changed now.
  2. Yes but at least 2 songs must've climbed, there can't be a #3 without a #1 and #2.
  3. I literally LOL'ed! BA are are talking as if women are incapable of "touching" children... If I was him, I'd be asking why the child isn't sat by his parents and why it wasn't possible for him to be sat with at least one of his parents. It's utterly disgusting for regular men to be branded as potential paedophiles and I hope his wins his case. The rule should not be that men can't sit next to children they don't know, but that children should sit next to someone they DO know...
  4. Well obviously if you have learning difficulities you have a disadvantage, but the government provides so many opportunies. Schooling is practically free and for the things you do pay for (school meals, trips, uniforms etc.) can be given to children for free or at least discounted. Libraries - books and internet access are free - after school booster clubs and there is really no need to have your own computer these days. When I was in school I used my computer for leisure and used school computers for research. Free periods, break times and after school are perfect opportunities. There are homework clubs after school which provide children with internet access, books, snacks, drinks and are open until 6pm each night. What is the difference between sitting in your room on the computer (with distractions) and sitting in the school library with no distractions, more resources and a safe enviornment with teachers there to offer help. If anything it would be better to do it after school. Yes I agree, uni is a great opportunity to make new friends - you will do things you never expected to do because you're shy yet you end up making so really good lifelong friends. Was you at the Mt. Gravatt campus or another one? I think there's one in Macgregor and South Bank too. I have to finish school for a year or two and I'm really scared about starting again from scratch but it's an amazing opportunity to make new friends, and just have a laugh. And, we're in East Brisbane/Woolloongabba atm but that's just temp. because it's convenient for my mum's job in Greenslopes and for me to get into the catchment area for Brisbane High, as it's a bit ghetto around here. When we actually buy it'll be in Bulimba or Morningside. Where did you live in Brisbane?
  5. I don't agree with the UKIP tbh, as long as it isn't causing a great security risk at the moment I'm ok with it. People were allowed to wear hoodies and motorbike helmets in shops at one time but when they were used for the wrong reasons they were banned. The same with burkas - if they start controversy because they are used to rob shops and mug people then I would accept it as a security risk, but right now it's not a risk at all. I suppose in schools and airports I would prefer their faces to be seen but otherwise it's none of my business what they wear.
  6. Wow very cool! On and on could do great there, as I don't think Release Me is the right song to make an impact on Billboard charts despite it's success elsewhere.
  7. Yeah I read on a blog it is to be released on the same week as in the USA. It's the 2nd Feb in the USA, so maybe it means the Sunday after, which is the 7th?
  8. Jan 31/Feb 1 I think it'd get to #1 eventually tbh, top 3 at lowest.
  9. I know, it's disgusting. Even to pay to visit a sick/dying friend or relative, but even more so to save them. Your dad also saves lifes - maybe he didn't actually do it directly but it wouldn't be possible for doctor's to do it if your dad hadn't designed the instruments :)
  10. I do feel sorry for genuinely good muslim's who aren't interested in blowing up planes and other terrorist attacks, but unfortunately it does seem to be that group of people who do that - I know it's only a VERRRRY small percentage of them but if you look on the news, almost every terrorist attack/plot has been by a Muslim - if white people were known for attempting to blow up planes, then I would expect to be searched more thoroughly because it'd be the "norm" for white people to do it, but in this case, it's Muslims. It's just a fact. And I'm sure it'd also put the muslim's who don't wish to pull these crazy stunts (the vast majority of them) minds at rest, as I'm almost certain that it's not just non-muslims who are suspicious about these attacks/plots, most Muslim's would be worried too and although maybe feeling victimised as a race/religion by this, will also feel relieved that something is being to prevent things like that to happen.
  11. You would know... Maybe vile, but still true. Life is what you make it tbh, when you are born, you are given the exact same chances as every other person born on this earth. If you were dedicated to making your life a success, nothing would stop you. If you genuinely cared, you would stay behind after school, go to your library for books and internet access (which also free) and even try to raise money for your own computer by washing cars and stuff. There are lots of very intelligent people right now who grew up with nothing more than a few textbooks in the 60s/70s/80s.. what's the difference now? Is the internet NOT just like a giant textbook?
  12. Secret location? I can hardly imagine the paparazzi and crazy fans showing up to see her.
  13. Yeah, Victim is probably the most single friendly on there IMO.
  14. _____________ posted a post in a topic in Personal Charts
http://i48.tinypic.com/1111lox.jpg Basically I'm gonna try something new. I don't have time to do a full chart but I'd like to do one, so this is how it's gonna work: Base: This is where new songs that I've just started to like start, the week after I'll decide if they're strong enough to begin climbing, back off or give them a chance to climb the week after. Once a song backs off it can't try again later but it will get a mention. All songs MUST start at the base. Face: This is where songs that I still like climb higher. If it's started to climb but I decided I don't like the song anymore the only thing it can do is fall off the mountain. It can spend two weeks at most on the face or it has to fall off. Slope: Make or break, this is the place where a song can reach the peak or fall. I would have to love that song for 3 weeks consecutively or it will just slide off the mountain. It can spend 3 weeks at most on the slope. Peak: If I have loved the song for 4 weeks, then it will reach the peak of the mountain. It can stay on peak for as long as I love it but when I tire of it, it needs to go. All the songs and the stages they reach (and for how long they were on the mountain) will be recorded!! THE MOUNTAIN Songs at base: Florence + The Machine; You've Got The Love Ke$ha; Blah Blah Blah (ft. 3OH!3) Agnes; On and on Esmée Denters; Love Dealer Rihanna; Hard Jessica Mauboy; Let Me Be Me Lady GaGa; Bad Romance Selena Gomez; Naturally Orianthi; According To You Daisy Dares You; Number One Enemy Keri Hilson; I Like Jody; Shout It Out Who will climb and who will back down to let up to 12 new songs have a shot at the mountain?? ONE TO WATCH: 8G7WdHxiMcI List of entries on the chart to date: BASE Florence + The Machine; You've Got The Love (1 week in total) Ke$ha; Blah Blah Blah (ft. 3OH!3) (1 week in total) Agnes; On and on (1 week in total) Esmée Denters; Love Dealer (1 week in total) Rihanna; Hard (1 week in total) Jessica Mauboy; Let Me Be Me (1 week in total) Lady GaGa; Bad Romance (1 week in total) Selena Gomez; Naturally (1 week in total) Orianthi; According To You (1 week in total) Daisy Dares You; Number One Enemy (1 week in total) Keri Hilson; I Like (1 week in total) Jody; Shout It Out (1 week in total) FACE N/A SLOPE N/A PEAK N/A Btw, I don't know if this is a good idea or not but I wanted to try something new!!!

  21. And? Lots of people illegally download music, doesn't mean it's legal.
  22. It is illegal to view porn if you are under 18... and the laptop are for KIDS to LEARN. And by learn I don't mean learning how to find a g-spot... and why should they all get leasure free when everyone else pays for it?
  23. And also, I think a ban should be put on certain websites such as porn, burglaring tutorials, etc. etc. and only be used for the websites which they are being dished out for... educational ones. :cheer:
  24. Yeah, and I think it's true that with some of them, their parents hardly give a $h!t whether they're learning or not.
