It's a very good post and it seems unfair to pick on such a little thing but The Moniker is a HE not a THEY.

Well we can post anything in here, so here goes!! My radio show is on tonight at the usual time of 7pm on www.discoverradio.org and this week the show will be 100% Swedish :D I know for some of you that will be like pulling teeth, but I know for others that could be appealing, so just giving it a plug in here, and I hope some of you will tune in for a while (and like the Facebook page while you're at it! It's not quite as catastrophic as Britain's Got Talent dropping from 18 million viewers to 2 million, because the ratings are still respectable. They are down on previous years, but it's still getting 2.8 million viewers or so each week which is 30% of their population and the equivilent of about 18 million viewers in the UK. So with that in mind those voting figures are very peculiar!! Also I don't think the figures for LG and Jenny necessarily say that they're the most popular ones, it could just mean that people got fed up with voting after the first duel. And remember that Sara beat Loreen by a bigger margin than LG beat Jenny so perhaps it's not that surprising that Sara won in the end.

Linda Pritchard had her album completed this time last year as well...then she came 5th in her heat...

If we're going to start talking about random inclusions then one really has to question what on EARTH Rainbow Star is doing on there :lol: Came last in its heat with a dreadful performance and didn't exactly excel outside the contest. Not that I'm complaining about it being on there, I love it!

Good to see that Red One was actually pretty hands on in the recording of this song! From what I hear, he barely had anything to do with Love Generation's song.

It didn't make the Top 200, and the sales for #200 that week were around 900. It may have crept past 1000 sales by now though.

Nooooo :cry: I have NO idea what to do about the September situation. I really thought it would be OK as that video has been up for weeks! It's only now that they seem to be clamping down. I'll try altering the audio slightly, but still I'd urge people to listen to the mp3 to give a better reflection!!

I'm listening to Danny right now, and I just had a vision of him flopping in Dusseldorf if he's chosen. The song contest has got more contemporary in the last few years, especially at the top end of the scoreboard, but it's still contemporary in a "would be played on Radio 2" sort of way. I'm just wondering whether In The Club is accessible enough to all of the voting audience. I can also see the stage performance being (as usual for a Swedish entry) underwhelming and the repetitivity doesn't help either. On top of that I can't really see it flying with the juries.

I agree, it certainly would have done well, but I didn't think that full-blown-Abba-esque schlager would contend for victory, and it certainly wouldn't have been in with such a good shot that it would have been a "forgone conclusion" of a contest! Especially because they're not even doing it straight so to speak, just look at the group themselves.
