Here is what Mike Stock had to say.... He does make a couple of good points, I understand his frustration about the BBC not supporting their entry whatsoever. However it's completely negated by some of the other points he makes and how incredibly out of touch he and Pete Waterman are... EDIT: Damn! One minute too late!! Took me so long to post it :lol:

The version of Sometimes I Forget sounds the same as the original to me :S It's certainly not the French radio edit anyways, unless the physical release and the iTunes version are different.

Just wondering, since the introduction of the midweek chart on Radio 1, has a play on the show had much of a noticeable effect on the songs?

I wouldn't be surprised if it was perfectly eligible, just floating outside of the Top 40 at the moment. Surely that's the more likely option since it only really has been inside the iTunes T20 for about 36 hours and wasn't even available for the first day of trading?

Oh good to see everybody seems to be online at the moment! I've asked on Digital Spy but feel I might stand more of a chance on here... Just wondering if anybody is recording the BBC's coverage tonight and/or would be willing to make a copy for me? I'd pay for postage and the DVD/video itself obviously, it's just that any means of recording I have will be out of action tonight and I'd really like a copy for collection. If somebody could let me know if that's possible (or indeed tell me a way to record from iPlayer...) that'd be wonderful :)

Whether or not they'll make the top 4 is very up in the air I guess, I'm by no means certain about it. But with so many of the big favourites being disappointments, I'd definitely not rule it out. Having seen the rehearsal it is visually very impressive, and as catchy as ever. Ovi and Paula also have chemistry on stage and it's clear they're having fun: something incredibly lacking in Denmark right now.

I like to think that In A Moment Like This is a step above their previous entries but it all depends I guess. I would like to see Ukraine make the final, apparently it's been really strong in rehearsals, but I really hope if she does get through it's at the expense of Cyprus, Croatia (yeah I know, never gonna happen), or Georgia. And that's all very well Niamh being predicted 7th - 9th but her rehearsals have been very strong and the crowd will go wild for it. I'll go to church and moon the congregation on Sunday if Niamh doesn't nake the final.

I don't think Slovakia was a shocker in the slightest, and they'd not be the country I'd instantly think got 11th place. It could well be Macedonia again, or maybe Malta or even Finland. I'm pretty sure Latvia was last though!!

I'm starting to feel very confident about my each way bet on Romania at 66/1 They're sailing through tomorrow.

No way in hell will Ireland not make it...Denmark, on the other hand, I'm starting to have major concerns about.

Bloody hell, where is Josh Dubovie? He's not even Top 200 as far as I can see....this campaign to get him to number one is truly embarrassing! Has anybody ever seen the episode of Frasier where he meets his fanclub? :lol:

In fairness, that's only half the story. They have said a few times that Denmark being at risk is the general feeling amongst the press there, and if they turned in a performance like their rehearsals, they certainly would be (even though I'm confident they won't). Also it was only Keith who was critical of the UK song last year, the other two bloggers were very positive indeed, and Keith has said he has a "strong fondness" for our entry this year. Yes there is bias there, but like you said they always back up their reasoning so surely that would make it ok? I still maintain that it's the best, most informative source of information during Eurovision week.

Hate to say I told you so :P But the single is now available on iTunes :) I knew I'd heard somewhere that it was out today!

I said that Maria was a good singer and had a classy song but that it was too mid-tempo and non-descript and not instant enough to catch on with the televoters.

OK fair enough, that's a few points from Switzerland :) I would usually agree with Rich on quite alot especially when it comes to Eurovision but in this case I think Lena is being vastly overhyped on here, and elsewhere. It seems like the hype about her back in Germany influenced the bookies and that in turn has influenced alot of fans into thinking this stands a chance. OK it is a good song, so I'm not claiming that people on here are purely going by the bookies etc. but I just cannot grasp how this possible screams winner. She has a certain charm but not nearly enough to compensate for her voice like Alexander had. I'm prepared to eat humble pie on May 30th, and I've done it before (Maria anyone?) but right now I'm 90% sure that this ain't going top ten.

The backing vocalists have a tendency to sound too loud on these videos, but it will probably sound completely different on the feed that actually is heard on television. Oh absolutely... Berlin, Munich, Stuttgart, Dusseldorf...you name it, Lena has had chart success and mass hype there :P
