This thread is 2 months too late.

United Kingdom 2012
Yeah they should end it with a 40 piece orchestra and a gospel choir.

Moldova 2012
It would seem it's a 3 and a half hour long affair...

How much of a Eurovison bellwether are you?
I'm doing my best to remember what my favourites at the time were, rather than thinking retrospectively: 2000 - Fly On The Wings of Love (1st) 2001 - Die For You (3rd) 2002 - Come Back (3rd) 2003 - Open Your Heart (8th) 2004 - Jugarem Estimar-Nos (DNQ - oops!) 2005 - My Number One (1st) 2006 - Invincible (5th) 2007 - Questa Notte (16th) 2008 - Shady Lady (2nd) 2009 - Fairytale (1st) 2010 - In A Moment Like This (4th) 2011 - New Tomorrow (5th)

Dreadful quality, but I think this one seems very promising: rrc8wGNuamU

Melodifestivalen 2012 / ANDRA CHANSEN/FINAL
I think it's more than just a case of "Red One like production..." the verses are trying SO hard to be On The Floor and it's a little offputting! Also, the dubstep breakdown is SO tryhard (not to mention so last year), but the rest of the song, when it isn't afraid to just stand on its own two feet is quite MARVELOUS. I'm sure I'll get over the other bits once I've blasted it out a few times. Anyone got a link to the whole album?

Melodifestivalen 2012 / ANDRA CHANSEN/FINAL
If you mean Lisa winning with Danny in 2nd, that's the fake rehearsal voting. It's completely random.

Melodifestivalen 2012 / ANDRA CHANSEN/FINAL
I am absolutely 100% going to Stockholm for Melodifestivalen next year. So count me in! If Sweden wins Eurovision this year I can see it being hosted somewhere other than Stockholm though.

United Kingdom 2012
Pixie may well have put across the "right image" of Eurovision to the people of the UK, but I'd say she'd stand a MUCH bigger chance of flopping in the actual contest. Think Getter Jaani, think Magdalena Tul, think Emmy, think Kristina, think Aisha, think Juliana Pasha, and all the other half-baked "pop princesses" who have flopped. Because Pixie Lott most CERTAINLY is not a Lena, a Helena Paparizou or a Yohanna!! Engelbert could flop, but he could also do really quite well...at least he'll have the juries on side, which would be an uphill struggle for someone like Pixie if they're anything like last year. And at least if Engelbert flops, more people will say "we should have sent somebody modern," and if he succeeds, then who's complaining? If Pixie was sent with a modern song that was a hit pre-contest and flopped, then we'd really be worse off than we were beforehand.

Pavel, where did you find that draw?

Melodifestivalen 2012 / ANDRA CHANSEN/FINAL
Also, the Digital chart is not "more reliable" than Sverigetopplistan - all of the Eurogays just say that it is because it contains more Melodifestivalen stuff. But the fact is, you need VERY few sales to top the iTunes chart (I think Loreen is on about 500 at the moment based on rough calculations, and number 100 is on about 3), and way more people use Spotify in Sweden than iTunes.

Melodifestivalen 2012 / ANDRA CHANSEN/FINAL
To be honest, I cannot see Loreen opening the show, or Danny, since he did it last year. My guess is actually that Shout It Out will open and Danny and Loreen will be 7th and 10th or something.

They're just demos aren't they? It certainly sounds like they're all sung by the same person.

United Kingdom 2012
Worryingly, Right Said Fred haven't exactly denied it...they've been spine-chillingly ambiguous.

iTunes Chart: February 2012 (Part II)
I wouldn't call it "odd" that people are downloading Whitney's music now. I wouldn't even call it some contrived effort for people to make a tribute to her either as some people are saying as a defense. I think it's much more simple than that. When an artist dies, naturally you start thinking about their music, and in Whitney's case it really hit home to me last night just how many great songs she had. That will be at the front of people's heads today and naturally they're going to want to download some of them. I know I will be buying her Greatest Hits this week, for no other reason than I've been reminded of her great songs by this tragic turn of events, and want to listen to them.

I agree! I'm far from a Nicki Minaj fan, but I really enjoy her bit in Madonna's song.
