BJSC XXXVIII Final Voting
We're not CHANGING any rules. Certainly as far as I'm aware, when we brought back the banning rule I had always said that non-voters "who have been reminded" will be banned from the following contest.

No no...

BJSC XXXVIII Final Voting
It is, but what I mean is it's a condition when it comes to banning for non-voting. As Phil has already said (despite me saying it beforehand, but obviously that wasn't enough :P ), there won't be any bannings.

BJSC XXXVIII Final Voting
No, the banning is off the table since reminders weren't sent out, which is one of the conditions. The 33% bit is the part open for discussion...ultimately it's up to Martyn but personally I think he should let it slide this time, EVEN THOUGH Kopecka and Hendinia voted after the deadline and me saying this could COST me a victory.

BJSC XXXVIII Final Voting
I was VERY lucky to get voting on time. I just so happened to be browsing in the early hours of the morning...otherwise I'd have thought that I had the whole of today to vote. I think that even though it isn't a written rule, it's fairly standard for the host to be online and actually declare the end of the voting. Since that hasn't happened I'd say it is fair to let votes count at least up until whatever time Martyn comes back. Since he hasn't been on since yesterday there obviously wasn't a particular reason he NEEDED to close at 11am either.

iTunes Chart: October 2011 (I)
Rihanna - 100% Maroon 5 - 55.3% (combined) I still think We Found Love will edge it, but it's going to be a bloody close one!! I might actually listen to the chart for the first time in ages tomorrow.

Actually combined Maroon 5 are about 44.4% although it's still not great I suppose.

iTunes Chart: October 2011 (I)
Rihanna - 100% Maroon 5 - 42.8% Slowly but surely clawing their way back...although not fast enough I don't think. Somebody PLEASE perform it on X Factor tomorrow!!

iTunes Chart: October 2011 (I)
:( I'd imagine Rihanna has #1 in the bag now. The ONLY chance Maroon 5 have now is if somebody performs Moves Like Jagger on X Factor, giving them a final push in the dying hours of Saturday. Otherwise, since Rihanna has now spent the best part of 24 hours selling twice as much as Maroon 5 surely it's a done deal even if they do manage to claw a little bit back.

Switzerland 2012
They do. The German speaking TV channel will internally select 3 songs, the French speaking one will internally select 3 and the Italian channel picks 2. Then 6 slots go to songs from the internet selection, making 14 songs in the final altogether.

Switzerland 2012
But surely the French speaking broadcaster is picking from a different crop altogether? Or did Ultra Naté etc submit to them as well as the internet selection?
-
Switzerland 2012
You'd think that, but she's been going on about entering again for years and it has never happened, so I'm going to guess that the Swiss broadcasters REALLY don't want her! I'd love her to make it though, and I suppose her chances really depend on how much of a "national treasure" she is seen as by the Swiss people, because let's face it, the song is too old-fashioned for even the juries to appreciate! That being said it's strangely catchy, and a "My Way" type song was definitely the best route she could have taken.

Switzerland 2012
Anyways, BIG BIG NEWS!!! Well it was big news a few hours ago but still it deserves being mentioned. Lys Assia, the first ever winner, has entered a song in the internet selection. http://www.eurovisionplattform.sf.tv/videos/c_etait_ma_vie

Aww that's a shame. I really don't get that to be honest, it's not like she'd have anything to lose by at least throwing her name in the hat. There is little to no publicity that comes with being in the internet pre-selection, so it's not as if it would be percieved as a "flop" if she didn't make it, which I'm sure is the attitude Ultra Naté etc are taking - if they don't make it to the national final, it can be as if it never happened and brushed under the carpet fairly easily. Anyways I like that song as well, probably up there with my favourites.

BJSC XXXVIII Semi-Final Voting
To be fair, whether or not Tyron votes, Loreen is sailing through.

To make up for the lack of results tonight, you could always tune into my radio show instead! It's from 7-9 on www.discoverradio.org and it's AWESOME. :P

I suppose whether or not we reach IL/XXXXIX depends what side of 21/12/2012 it falls on ;)

BJSC XXXVIII Semi-Final Voting
 I think the roman numerals are reaching a stage where they get confusing for some...not that I'm suggesting getting rid of them, I think it's amusing :P Incidentally what a DREADFUL semi I've just voted in!

TF100 I have to say the ones that you've been involved with are head and shoulders above the competition as it stands! Personally I don't particularly like Champion but I can still appreciate it from a production perspective. Can I ask in what capacity you're involved with these songs / artists? "Get Over You" by Georgea Blakey wouldn't be another one of yours would it? I noticed she's British and thought she might be.

BJSC XXXVIII - Odds
Annoyingly I think Loreen has this one sewn up...I had hoped to break out of the double winners club before anyone else in there!
