  1. Ah, thank you, Laura. So they have made peace a few years ago already. That's good. And indeed it was her to apology first. But if she saw it the same way and did apology first she has my respect and it is good for both of them.
  2. SHE has forgiven HIM??? I am not 100% sure if it was Sophie Ellis-Bextor in the book Feel but I think it was her. As far as I remember - please correct me if I'm wrong - she talked bad about Robbie although she didn't know him at all. He was wondering why she was hurting him without knowing him personally. They were then both on the same event and he went over to her and tried to clarify this. She was embarrassed at first but then the conversation went well and they had a good talk. Robbie was happy to have sorted this out. But only a short time later he was hearing her doing it again. He mused then why she was doing it now when she knew him personally and they had no arguments at all. It didn't make any sense. But then he reasoned that she simply must have a bad character. That's what I know about Robbie and Sophie Ellis-Bextor. Is there anything else that I missed?
  3. I kind of knew that this song was about Paula Yates because in a biography about Rob I have read 20 years ago it says that she was by his side when he got his first tattoo - and in Cursed he sings 'Held my hand when I got my first tattoo'. So it must have been about her and everything else fits too. In the biography I also read about a long holiday in South France in 2000 with Rob and Paula and some others. It was a much needed holiday for Rob at the time and you could tell that Paula was a very important person to Rob. At the end of that year she died of an overdose of drugs and in 2001 Rob made another attempt to quit drugs. This time it was successful and I always had the feeling that the drug death of a beloved person like Paula was the wake-up call for Rob to finally succeed in staying drug-free. This sentence in the article may confirm this: 'He saw similarities in them. He felt like he was lucky, that the only difference was how it ended.'
  4. Yes, these are the only two I don't know. Thanks for the information. With the taxes it might be an unpleasant surprise to buy in the UK.
  5. That would be an awful lot of money for me for only very very few songs I do not have yet. I really have to think about this...

  7. The tour starts in the middle of winter. I hope covid doesn't spoil it. The summertime would have been safer. And queuing would be more fun than in the cold  .
  8. This music is not my cup of tea but my colleague loves it. She has heard Lufthaus in the radio and she remembered the name because she liked it so much and only later I told her that it was Robbie. But actually it wasn't so bad to hear this kind of music in Munich, because it fits to a concert and the open air atmosphere there. At least in the beginning, however towards the end it was just too long for me. They played 3/4 of an hour and every song went on and on and on for 10 minutes and more. Over time I found it boring but of course that is a matter of taste. And I missed Robbie, because I thought he would be with them on stage or at least join them for the last 5 minutes but that didn't happen ;) .
  9. I’m sure he was extra nervous because of that, but I think he should have had problems in the beginning and not at the end if it was for that reason. He dedicated Sweet Caroline to his dad because he had sung it with him for so long and now could not longer do it due to his Parkinson desease. He said his dad sends us greetings and a thank you for all those years and he will now sing it once again for him and then the song will retire from his set list just like his dad has retired. After he has sung it he said, his dad can’t no longer sing with him but there is a certain Teddy that might soon join him on stage. I read a post of Ayda where she said that Teddy was very exited about these words. Ayda, Gwen, Teddy and Charlie were in the audience, but they weren’t shown on the screens. I think it was Teddy's and Charlie's first gig. Yes, it thought the same and was very surprised. And as always he didn’t keep distance AT ALL :D . Rob had already problems when he introduced the song. He couldn't help but belch a few times. He apologized and otherwise tried to ignore it but it wouldn’t go away so he had to stop speaking and turned to the side and tried to collect himself. He then apologized again and explained first that for some reason he just got so emotional (what he repeated after the song) and then he said that’s what happens if you chew so much nicotine gums. He started singing after this but everyone could tell that he still wasn’t ok and so several of the band – and of course the audience - watched him closely.
  10. I was there too in 2. row. It was amazing and so good to see him again. He looked hot, I like his hairdo right now. But I wonder if he was a little bit unwell the whole time. He seemed a little dampened, actually he moved a bit slow. He did no bouncing, not even through LMEY when he asked the audience to bounce. Usually he then bounces himself too. He had not much conversation with the crowd what he usually does and the show startet 30 min too late what is absolutely unusual too. In the beginning I thought he might have problems with his back again and the late beginning might be a misunderstanding in the communication that lead to a mistake. But after he obviously got sick in the end I wondered if he might have been not too good the whole time? It did not show in his singing and in his looks until the end though. And I can't remember for sure but I think the gig took 1,75 hours, so it was rather long and he didn't cut anything. So maybe I'm wrong. Hopefully I'm wrong, I wouldn't want him to make such efforts for us when he is not feeling well.
  11. The rear view is really funny. So you get two paintings for your money. No wonder the one at Sotheby's made it at twice the price as expected :D .
  12. I didn't know there was a fall out with Chris? I thought Chris just needed a job since Rob was in a long term break and nobody knew when and if he would come back.
  13. He could do with Under The Radar Vol. 4 this year...
  14. A big thank you for posting this. I knew about the project and was afraid that I would miss it when it is finally ready. I was one of the lucky people to have been there.
  15. I understand the sentence "wasn't life sweet" as a statement that life WAS actually sweet. And they want to make it good as well for the people on earth from their position in heaven. Although I have no clue how the want to do it  . Perhaps just with good memories and the people being happy if they think of them.
  16. I didn't know Cockney rhyming slang but I do now :D . I've just googled it and some phrases I knew from somewhere suddenly make sense to me due to the examples there  . Thanks a lot.
  17. That's well appreciated, Sydney, thank you. How come the connection between Khyber Pass and arse? That's a mysterium to me :???:.
  18. By the way lots of people say that the lyrics for Swings Both Ways are full of ambiguousness and puns. Perhaps you can explain some of them too? I only understand the ambiguity of the title.

  20. That did help me too, thank you. Just one thing: you wrote "For those out drinking at their mother's way". I remember it as "at their mother's wake" but I don't remember where I read this.
  21. THEY have had it? So not only Rob had it but the whole family?
  22. OK, great. Then I will make the layout in my copy a bit nicer and after adding your surprise I will convert it and then I can finally start reading. :cheer:
  23. Is it a current Video? Is his hair already so short again
  24. Hi Alex, no comments from me because I save all chapters until the book is done. Only then I will convert it into my Kindle and read it in one go. So you have to be a bit patient until you get my comments but they will come. And I had to be patient over the last months too so it is only fair :D . But again my great thanks. I can't wait to start the book.
