  1. I'd love if both appeared. The album comes out in JUST before what should NOW 120's release date, so the label might be fine with both singles making the album. The "Gold" series (including thinks like Timeless, and Legendary) are such a weird collection of tracks. I kind of understand the point of them, as back in the day we used to have that Capitol Legends series and stuff like that - but the concept is still so vague and random. I remember the first Gold album randomly has "Your Disco Needs You" by Kylie on it. A song that wasn't even released in the UK (although it should have been). I did love the Pop Gold album that came out a few years ago. I wouldn't mind a sequel to that!
  2. Whilst I love IT GIRL and would love for it to appear on NOW 120 it's only a buzz single (apparently). But yes to Fantasy being added! And I also hope Sophie appears with "Freedom Of The Night". It was a fun little bop that deserves some more recognition. I was worried about APT. making it due to it being a K-Pop Girlie, and a lot of the K-Pop stars haven't appeared. BTS only appeared once with Coldplay - on Coldplay's label, and FIFTY FITY are the only other K-Pop band to appear. But the latest Bravo Hits album does have it, so maybe 120 will get APT as well. I do wonder if Charli will appear, as I don't see her on other chart comps across Europe. If she does maybe we'll just get Apple? Could be hard to license "Guess" with Billie.

Gonna review them like I'm a d-list celeb reviewing the singles on Smash Hits; JoJo – Ready To Love 5/10 Compared to other Post Blackground songs it's kinda safe. The chorus is catchy though - and love the vocals. Kane Brown & Jelly Roll – Haunted 2/10 Dear Straight Male Country singers... Can you come up with something else? Instrumental is good though. It's got "Traitors" background music written all over it. Beyoncé still owns the best song called "Haunted" Lauren Spencer Smith – Pray 5/10 A fabulous Chorus! Needs Choir/Gospel though, 'cos it's not packing the punch is could deliver. Mabel & King Promise – All Over You 5/10 It's okay. the chorus is such an earworm. Mike Posner – Is It Just Me? 7/10 Oh okay. This is kinda fun. Those vocals on that beat are lovely! I haven't listened to a Mike Ponser song since Ibiza, and I ended up despising that song. This gives Jonas Brothers with a bit of Justin Bieber during his Purpose era. Self Esteem – Focus Is Power 8/10 This is gorgeous! Lauren take note, this is how you deliver a Chorus! I'm so excited for the rest of album now. (side note; is there a camp-pop-off remix of this? if not - get someone on it now!) Tate McRae – Sports car 8/10 Omg! An upbeat pop song? In January? It's giving 'Buttons' by Pussycat Dolls. And we LOVE a whispered chorus! It does feel a little one note after a while, I feel like it could go off for the final part. Tom Walker – You'll Get There In The End 0/10 No. Pick It Up: Self Esteem - Focus Is Power I was taken to church, I feel like I can do anything now. Thanks Self Esteem! Smash It: Tom Walker - You'll Get There In The End Tom has a lovely voice, obviously - but I'm so bored of this kind of half-ass-piano-ballad rubbish. :puke2: To most of the entries this week I present this video: sK2jTM4F9JU

It's amazing how Craig David can release some amazing singles and then some of the most boring singles. There's no inbetween! It's wild!

I went for Marshmello & The Jonas Brothers. There's just something about it that I'm really enjoying at the moment.
  6. Whilst I love the Early-Mid-80s. The late 80s are gonna be brilliant with (hopefully) all the PWL Mixes, and 12" House tracks.
  7. The 70s are a bit lost on me, and the Extras don't make it any easier. I have discovered some great songs from them though - and my mind explodes when I know a song because it gets sampled in a song later on in life. I wonder if they'll bother with themed compilations next year or just stick to the Year themed ones. Still waiting for something like "NOW 90s Pop", "Girl Power", or "Forgotten 00s", but I guess that'll never happen.
  8. Maybe that's an approach they should take now? I feel like more recent Numbered NOWs are all very "what's out RIGHT now", which is great - no complaints, but perhaps they could save some of the biggest hits or ones that are gonna be around longer and add them to the Winter one. It's not like there's any rival company to sweep away those "exclusives" anymore.
  9. Yes! The lineup on Disc 1 is brilliant - that pure pop section up to Crash Test Dummies is brilliant. I think Sophie B. Hawkins takes the win for me in that section. I agree with Kylie as well, deffo deserved Disc 1 status.
  10. 30 YEARS AGO TODAY: _J0BfRGMmsk bMZ_ghqqruQ An album of EPIC proportions. NOW 29 spent 9 weeks at No. 1, with it leaving the top spot to be replaced by "The Best of Heartbeat". It's the first Numbered NOW to go for a slimmer case, leaving the fatboxes behind. 90s radio hits, million selling singles, and established anthems all make there way on this collection. No 1's from Pato Banton (Baby Come Back), Take Take (Sure), and Whigfield (Saturday Night). May not seem a lot, but Wet Wet Wet's "Love Is All Around" (NOW 28) was still dominating the top spot. Going back to Whigfield though, those crafty NOW compilers gave us a night to remember lining Saturday Night, Rhythm of the Night, and Another Night together! Let's talk Legends! Louis Armstrong's "We Have All The Time In The World" appears on this album, even though Louis passed away twenty-three years before NOW 29. He still holds the "record" for "Earliest Birth" among credited NOW performers, being born in 1901. Next up, despite already having a number of hits and a million selling single at this point, this is Celine Dion's debut appearance on the NOW franchise with her cover of the Jennifer Rush power ballad "The Power of Love" (Jennifer's never appeared on a Numbered NOW). Celine would finally make her 2nd appearance on NOW 104 with "Lying Down". Both Minogues are present. Kylie obviously appears with her moody-indie-banger "Confide In Me" (4th appearance so far...), and Dannii is featured in the Ensemble of "Music Relief" (her 2nd appearance). Britpop really kicked into gear as Oasis make their debut appearance with "Cigarettes & Alcohol" - they would go on to appear 14 times on the Numbered NOWs (with Live Forever being their last inclusion on NOW 99). Their rivals, Blur appear with Parklife on Disc 2. What Madonna song could've been on it? Secret The song peaked at No. 5 in early October. Anything else missing? Not that I can think of? The HITS series was having quite the identity crises at this point, so the NOWs of the year got a majority of the big hits. What else was released on this Date? In 2000, the U.S. released NOW 5! featuring 3 Billboard No. 1s from *NSYNC (It's Gonna Be Me), Sisqo (Incomplete), and Janet Jackson (Doesn't Really Matter). The UK also released 1 Disc Xmas album called "NOW Xmas: Massive Christmas Hits". Is it any good? Not really. It's your classic 60s-80s Xmas tracks that EMI/Virgin/Universal had lying around R0gB2ieWOjc What's your favourite song on NOW 29? What songs are missing for you? Are you a fan of the US NOWs? and What is the best NOW Xmas album?
  11. Spice Girls - Spice Up Your Life x

Maybe they can get Sarah Jessica Parker to take her parts in Let's Have a Kiki, and Any Which Way  I hope we get new music. I like Jake's music, but it's missing that spark that only the Scissor Sisters can deliver.
  13. I'd love another 90s one. The ones they've done have been so good, and 1991 would satisfy my OCD of there being a gap between 90 and 92.
  14. Some thoughts for me: -This is my favourite artwork for the "new" font. The colour choices are striking, festive, and so colourful! Plus they managed to sneak the NOW Pig in there. -Double Kylie! Amazed her label gave out "Lights Camera Action" instead of "My Oh My", but not complaining. I love that she's such a big staple of the NOWs in recent years. -The lack of Charli was a surprise, but perhaps Atlantic/Charli's team held off for this one to focus on "Brat" finally going No. 1 in the album charts and focus on the Remix album. I'm sure at least one of her songs will be on 120. -JADE!! My favourite song of 2024 is here! -No Joyride, but I get it. Minor hit, independent artist, radio edit isn't the best. -I knew Katy would be a filler track (I mean that in a nice way). -Linkin' Park finally makes a NOW! Impressive. -This is such a solid selection of tracks and I don't have many complaints in my opinion.
  15. Oh yes! Or even Sensitivity with Chic. Odd they picked the one song from them that wasn't a 2006 single. Loved Sunblock as well! First Time with Robin Beck would've also been a brilliant addition (at least we got in one of the main NOWs). Just thought as well, September "Satellites" should be on here as well, it was one of my most played songs from 2006! Couldn't get enough of it. And also some Goldfrapp wouldn't have hurt as well.
  16. Released today 18 years ago: Disc: 1 1 Bob Sinclar & Cutee B feat. Edmée - Listen To Your Heart 21 DJ Sammy & Yanou feat. Do - Heaven 22 Dario G - Ring Of Fire 23 Tiësto feat. Maxi Jazz - Dance4Life 3s9svR6nnMg At this point the NOW Dance series were struggling a little bit. A lot of the big dance hits would already been snapped up for Clubland, the Ministry of Sound Annual, and NOW 65, but it still has some great of the moment Dance/Pop floofillers. Bob Sinclair, Rogue Traders, Jealousy, Deep Dish with Stevie Nicks, and Oakenfold with Brittany Murphy are still great bangers in my opinion. Like I said though, since it was on its last legs it did have to rely on older tracks to fill up space and therefore not really making it a good "Dance Annual of the Year" - DJ Sammy, Eric Prydz, Tomcraft, and other artists should really be on a "NOW The Very Best of Dance" special than the main NOW Dance album of the year. What songs from the Clublands/MOS comps of this era should've made it on this album? And what remixes of Pop Hits do you think should've made the cut? For me: Infernal - From Paris To Berlin/Self Control Cascada - Every Time We Touch Dannii Minogue - So Under Pressure/Perfection Pet Shop Boys - I'm With Stupid Mickey Modelle V Jessy - Dancing In The Dark should've made the cut.
  17. I think Maroon 5's first set of releases were BMG releases, until they moved over to Universal (where they also brought the rights to the debut album). Regarding the "new" NOW Christmas album: It's nice to see Cher! It's turned into one of my favourite Christmas tracks, but I need Britney's "My Only Wish"! It's the 2nd best Xmas single imo.

Is this a safe space for them? - There are some amazing songs I wished made NOW 59, like "Dumb", "My Happy Ending", "Don't Leave Home", and "Never Felt Like This Before". - UK Number 1's included are: "These Words", "Real To Me", "Burn", "Everytime", and "F*** It (I Don't Want You Back)". Which songs are your faves? And which ones would you like to have seen on NOW 59.
  19. We've had something old, now here's something new! NOW Yearbook - 1977 is out November 1st. Sadly ABBA still are a no-go Disc 3 is wall-to-wall bangers! It's leagues above the other discs for sure. Strangely The Stranglers have 2 songs on Disc 2. Odd, but hey-ho. Now let's get another 90s one on the go!
  20. 13 Years Ago Today: Nf7D9mwbCW0 One of the most unique NOWs released during its originally EMI era, and one I really do love! R&B was having such a great Dance/Pop cross over, and things like "Massive R&B" were doing big numbers in the compilation charts - so I guess NOW quickly jumped on the band wagon. Faves for me are: Rihanna - Cheers (Drink To That) Dev - In The Dark Kelly Rowland feat Lil' Wayne - Motivation Nicole Scherzinger - Wet Jennifer Lopez feat. Lil Wayne - I'm Into You Rizzle Kicks - Down With the Trumpets Nicki Minaj - Super Bass Keri Hilson - Pretty Girl Rock Duchess - All The Boyz The only thing missing is Run The World (Girls)/Best Thing I Never Had by Beyoncé. This was the the time you could license her sometimes - and I was a little sad when neither appeared on 79 or 80. I wonder if this was them trying to create a new running series like "NOW Dance". Would've been a good series in my opinion.

Disc 4 is giving Pop Party and I love it!
  22. I think for these they are trying to get the well known versions or putting in a bit more effort than just adding the "No Rap" edit. Plus the No Rap edit is quite dull.
  23. Love the '08-'09 album! So excited to see so many great pop hits! Estelle's American Boy is missing, but I can understand that - you can't license the Radio Edit with Kanye anymore. And I wish Britney's 2009 entry was "3" instead of "Circus", but at least we have another Britney song added the NOW library. Excited to see if MJ does make the next set of Yearbooks - especially the 90s ones, I think that was his best decade!
  24. Ooh! I didn't even think of that. Hopefully it's the lead single from LG7 and not this snooze fest of a song with Bruno Mars.
