  1. Iconic Pop, Vol. 4 / NOW 88 Summer of 2014 was so "saxy"... that was awful, I'm sorry. But Cheryl and Ariana gave us two anthems for the brass family with Crazy Stupid Love & ProblemMax Martin rides high on this volume. Other movie themes on the series (so far) include Lana Del Rey's "Young and Beautiful", Britney's "Ooh La La", Pharrel's "Happy" and Idina Menzel's "Let It Go". 5 Seconds of Summer appear twice on this volume after discovering "She Looks so Perfect" was incredible and was too late to add to Volume 3.IT HAS CHANDELIER - THEREFORE IT'S AMAZING Disc 1 01: Cheryl - Crazy Stupid Love (feat. Just listened to the new John Lewis song. Apparently it's an Oasis song. *shrugs shoulders*. It's nice anywho. Is it bad that I'm already looking forward to NOW 93, just so we can see the almighty "SAX" by Fluer? :D

I'm not familiar with KSI & JME. Why are people so shocked to see this on here? Is it a flop?

Your article beat me to the point of Se:Sa on NOW 68. Other odd inclusions for me included Cee Lo's NOW 79 song "I Want You (Hold On to Love)". Was that a hit? The NOW team back then seemed to really enjoy Cee Lo's songs, although I always thought that was a Warner contract agreement or something. I thought you didn't like the "What's Next" section on the US Nows? I don't mind them, 'cos Sky Ferreira has appeared twice on that section :cheer:

Fem@il were included due to a contractual agreement to get another song (Might have been Steps). So I've always wondered if that was the same case for Agnes and Flo Rida/Akon on NOW 78.

In a way, featuring on a NOW album is the easiest way of an artist to promote a new album, upcoming single or tour. Whilst a TV show like X Factor can bring in a large audience, there's a lot more effort than plonking it on a NOW album, a job which is done by the NOW Team and not the record label itself. However, there are some issues with this. If a song comes out before a NOW, but the album doesn't come out till the NOW release date, this can cause artists/songs being delayed. Rihanna's "Diamonds" is a very good example. And sometimes labels hold on to rights until they know they made all the money out of it, like Baby One More Time on 44. The lae inclusion just means a few more additional sales. I hope that make sense. I'm not the best at describing this.

If the UK Charts are gonna continue being stale, I guess we can get use to this interesting NOW Track listings. I'm a bit confused why Drake didn't make it, he has appeared before. But anywho, Years & Years, Justin Beiber, Naughty Boy, Little Mix, Galantis and Arian Grande make this perfect for me! Probably the best NOW for me this year!

I think so to. Looking at this track listing again makes me unsure. Although I honestly wouldn't mind if this was the official one.

  12. Iconic Pop 3 / NOW 87 A Non-UK-Number-One starts off Volume 3 of Iconic Pop. Kylie's "Into the Blue" was criminally missed of NOW 87's inclusion along with other Warner Music artists. It is Miss Minogue's 2nd appearance so far, even though she hadn't even released a studio album during the time of Volumes 1-3 Lady Gaga is the only artist (so far) to have the same song appear on different volumes. The original R. Kelly version is hidden at the bottom of disc 2 of Iconic Pop 2, whereas the almighty Gaga/Xtina version plumps lovely inbetween fellow divas Shakira, Rihanna, and J.LoYoncé all on this album like... Beyoncé. The surprise albums first hit singles take spots on Disc 1 and Disc 2. Obviously this would never happen in real life, because licensing is a btichOther double appearances on the album include Katy Perry, Jess Glynne & Lily Allen Sophie Ellis-Bextor appears in the very rarely seen Track 21 slot. A slot reserved for songs that flopped so hard that even I, at some point may have forgotten to include it in the original track listing. I also feel she needed to be added considering I saw on tour whilst she promoted WanderlustDisc 1 01: Kylie Minogue - Into the Blue 02: Lily Allen - Air Balloon 03: Sam Smith - Money On My Mind 04: Clean Bandit - Rather Be (feat. Jess Glynne) 05: Katy Perry - Dark Horse (feat. Juicy J) 06: Little Mix - Word Up! 07: Neon Jungle - Braveheart 08: Pixie Lott - Nasty 09: The Saturdays - Not Giving Up 10: Shakira featuring Rihanna - Can't Remember to Forget You 11: Lady Gaga featuring Christina Aguilera - Do What U Want* 12: Jennifer Lopez - I Luh Ya Papi (feat. Jesse Glynne) 17: Zedd featuring Hayley Williams - Stay the Night 18: Ellie Goulding - Goodness Gracious 19: OneRepublic & Alesso - If I Lose Myself (Alesso vs OneRepublic) 20: Duke Dumont - I Got You (feat. If Adele and Sam Smith make NOW 92 they'll certainly be the first 2 tracks on Disc 1, but my god, that's quite a depressing start of NOW album. (love the Adele song btw).
  19. Spiral posted a post in a topic in Pop and Country
Why do you always blame Jenny Fisher?! Adele isn't on a major label, she's on XL Records, an independent record label. Independent record labels can be very protective of their song rights. Plus Adele probably has a say in her song distribution as well. Either way, it's not because Jenny Fisher is boycotting NOW, Adele is just boycotting compilations. P.S. Jenny Fisher worked on NOW 30 Years (which featured Rolling in the Deep) and NOW No. 1's (which featured Someone Like You).

If they could do it for Furious 7 they might have a chance. Honestly, after hearing the song I would be more than happy if it didn't make the track listing.
  23. Spiral posted a post in a topic in Pop and Country
That's true. Plus other Bond themes have either been minor hits or done by Madonna, therefore no reason/way of getting them on the NOWs. I'm still thinking we're gonna get a new NOW Movies with the amount of successful movie songs that have entered the chart since the release of the compilation.
