Picture It! Music, 2017! A year of variety, bangers, bops, emotional ballads, latin infused jams, and charity singles! Is it all on our upcoming album? Mayyyyybeeeeee! To keep you guessing here is a little teaser of the track listing! For now, tell us: what songs do you think will be making top billing on each disc? :o What songs do you hope make it, and which guilty pleasures do you secretly want at the bottom of Disc 4? :P Full track listing coming soon!
  3. There's now two more: NOW That's What I Call Happy NOW That's What I Call Summer Throwbacks I think someone from the labels is getting a bit too excited
  4. I would love it if Murder on the Dancefloor and Unwritten get added. Especially since Unwritten never made a NOW. I think it would've been great on NOW 60, shame Sony BMG said no. Plus let's add another Madonna track to her total and get "Popular" on there.
  5. The new NOW Country seems very similar to the last release.

Disc 4 is gonna be so good, I can feel it! 1999 was so good for EuroPopDance. I imagine Disc 4 will start with Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom!! by the Vengaboys or Better Off Alone by Alice DeeJay

The NOW team WISHES they could make some something as good as that!

Oooh! I love this. Will it be Year themed compilations or will other themes be done soon? I'm gonna guess Disc 3's opener is 'All Around the World' by Lisa Stansfield.
  9. Happy 40th Anniversary to NOW! The series that I have a very "unhealthy" obsession with according to friends and family. I remember my first NOW! I got NOW 44 on Christmas Day 1999. I wanted it on cassette for the car, but my mum got me it on CD with a brand new portable CD player, and since then I've been collecting them ever since! The best part of owning NOW albums is the memories that come with them. NOW 45 reminds me of my local independent store where I picked it up, they had the poster for it on one of the windows and you could see it from a mile away because it was colourful and big. I remember getting upset because American Pie wasn't on there, and ended up buying the CD single in Virgin Megastores a week later. NOW 50 I got the same day we went to see the first Harry Potter movie. My mom had treated me to both, but I think I was more excited about getting home and playing the CD. Who wouldn't when Steps, Kylie, Britney, Victoria Beckham, and Destiny's Child were calling to me. NOW 64 I got during a house move because of my parents divorce, the CD was a great comfort and it was the first album I ripped and added to my iPod shuffle. Rogue Traders, P!nk, Lily Allen, and The Ordinary Boys were such a blast to hear when I was out and about with my little iPod NOW 100 I picked up (with a copy of the new NOW 1) just before heading to work at Drayton Manor. I always base my jobs on how many Numbered NOWs came out. I worked at Drayton Manor from NOW 91 through to 101. I have memories for each one, like getting upset when a family member gave me a pirate copy of NOW 47 for Xmas, or picking up NOW 102 with my boyfriend (now fiancee). I remember picking up an old copy of NOW 1 on vinyl in a Mablethorpe charity shop and letting out a loud gasp when I saw it. So thanks for the memories NOW Team! You've soundtracked my life since '99, and I couldn't be more satisfied (even if there is a lack of Madonna).
  10. I'm not going to overthink the state of NOWs. I'm just happy they're still making the Numbered editions, and will probably collect them until they stop (which is gonna be soon if we're honest). So until then, I'm happy.

  12. I think they fully own their masters now ever since Mute was sold to BMG, so they can just say yes or no whenever they feel like perhaps.
  13. I wonder if any of the Barbie Movie songs will appear on NOW 116. Would love to see Dua Lipa, Ice Spice/Nicki Minaj/AQUA, and Charli XCX appear
  14. I know it's never gonna happen, but I'd love This Used to Be My Playground on the '92 Extra album. Along with 2 Unlimited, Vanessa Paradis, and Boyz II Men. 1992 was such a great year for Pop!
  15. Going back to the USA 80s spin-off. I wish Janet and her team let her songs get licensed - this album screams 80s Janet Bangers. Nasty, Control, Rhythm Nation, When I Think of You, and Pleasure Principle would've been perfect for this album. Also just had NOW Yearbook '92 come through the letter box, and it's just amazing. The colours, the booklet, the vinyl colours... Just perfection.
  16. Perhaps they're getting released based on the windows available for certain songs to be licensed. I'm so excited for '92 though - so many good Pop Bops got released that year! Love a Kylie double bill!
  17. I think it should focus more on the Pop element of it. If they threw in some pop-faves that don't really do anything sales wise in between Steps, Kylie, Jessie Ware, Elton, and Shania they'd have a killer Pop collection.
  18. Disc 2 is iconic! Instant purchase
  19. I think so. Olivia has started making a lot more appearances so we might finally get Grease songs on compilations instead of that awful Megamix.
  20. I wonder what the additional disc of songs will include. Hope Precious get included. Such a bop!
  21. Just checked - P!nk will have appeared 21 times with the release of NOW 114! Considering nothing from her first 3 studio albums never made a numbered NOW, she's certainly catching up. 64: Who Knew 65: U + Ur Hand 71: So What 72: Sober 73: Please Don't Leave Me 78: Perfect 83: Blow Me (One Last Kiss) 84: Just Give Me a Reason (feat. Nate Ruess) 84: Try 85: True Love (feat. Lily Allen) 94: Just Like Fire 98: What About Us 99: Beautiful Trauma 102: Walk Me Home 103: Can We Pretend (feat. Cash Cash) 107: One Too Many (Keith Urban & P!nk) 108: Cover Me In Sunshine (feat. Willow Sage Hart) 109: Anywhere Away From Here Rag'n'Bone Man & P!nk) 109: All I Know So Far 113: Irrelevant 114: Never Gonna Not Dance Again Shania Twain hasn't appeared on a NOW since 46 in 2000, and Simply Red haven't been since NOW 33 in 1996. I love that Chvrches, Years & Years, Jessie Ware, Adam Lambert, and Paramore all feature as well! Plus Lady Gaga, Lizzo, Jonas Brothers, and Meghan Trainor are my faves. The only glaring omission is obviously Miley. But she might be on 115 once Flowers drops from the Top Spot. Either that or she's pulling a Harry Styles.
  22. It's so odd that 'Chain Reaction' hasn't been added to the 86 Yearbook, Extra, or even the NOW Dance - 80s albums.
  23. I miss the bios too. It gave the albums a unique selling point and going through pictures and bios was all part of the nostalgia when you looked at them years later. Oh well, I'm just thankful they're still making them in this current market and economy.
  24. Harry and Kate could be reserved for NOW 113 since the Xmas NOWs make the most cash because it's a nice stocking filler
  25. It'd be nice to see another Eurovision song appear on the NOWs. The last one (I think) was 10 years ago on 82.
