Based on the fact that Gaga always wrote her songs? This song is a leftover from The Fame, so Gaga definitely wrote it.

I love Applause's video. One thing that bothered me about the Applause promo was that all of the promotion and TV performances were concentrated in the US, giving the song great longevity in the US (14 consecutive weeks in the top 10) but poor longevity in other countries. She should have done like Katy and performed the song on TV shows in other countries as well.

Gaga definitely wrote this song, but she must have sold or given the rights to Addison.

I doubt it.

Although she has one of the best videography of all time, she definitely doesn't have good lyric videos.

As I said, it was her way, at 27, to express herself and promote her art. She's learned over the years not to open her mouth before it's time and not to promise things she can't keep.
