Hi zeus555, I doubt that that OCC will ever correct their databases to have the correct historical charts, which is a big shame. I consider the original charts (as published in Music Week, Record Mirror and/or Hit Music) to be the correct ones and I've tried to fix all OCC's errors in my database. Today I did a comparison and I think the differences between your and my numbers can all be explained by either correcting OCC's mistakes or not. I have: - Bob Marley's "Legend", as discussed above, at 890 weeks, - Queen's "Greatest Hits" at 860 weeks (I guess you add the 7 weeks where the combined set of albums "Greatest Hits 1 & 2" charted in Nov/Dec 1994 and I give that a separate chart entry), - Oasis' "(What's The Story) Morning Glory" at 394 weeks (because OCC has an incorrect chart for Jul 10, 1999 and the album didn't actually chart that week), - Fleetwood Mac's "The Very Best Of" at 363 weeks (I guess you excluded the 3 weeks in 2017/2018 which OCC incorrectly say are for a different album, but I believe are in fact for the same album), - Madonna's "The Immaculate Collection" at 342 weeks (she did chart in the actual Jul 10, 1999 chart at #89 giving her an extra week), Cheers, Ronnie PS the Jan 6, 1996 chart is indeed wrong on OCC website, ABBA should be at #85

Hi zeus555, Thanks for this list! I already have Bob Marley's legend at 890 weeks as of this week (comprising of the 888 weeks that the OCC site has, plus two weeks for which the charts are wrong on the OCC site, w/e Jan 6, 1996 (#94) and Jan 13, 1996 (#100)). Next to that I have Nirvana's Nevermind at 331 weeks. Regards, Ronnie PS I see some other small discrepancies with my numbers for a couple albums, which I'm figuring out now.

I compared the score for "The Dark Side Of The Moon" by Pink Floyd with my numbers. I have that album at 26,707 points (peak: 2, wks: 532) and my chartrun matches OCC's chartrun. Do you have any corrections to the website for this chartrun? And some discrepancies in the lower regions: - I have "No Jacket Required" by Phil Collins at 9,338 points (peak: 1, wks: 177). This is including 1 week of the Deluxe Edition in 2016 and fully matches the OCC's website chartrun. - I have "Life Thru A Lens" by Robbie Williams at 9,291 points (peak: 1, wks: 147). I updated my number after I found out that the OCC website has the incorrect chart for July 10, 1999 (when OCC puts this album incorrectly at #33 where it actually was at #38). All other weeks match OCC's chartrun. - I have "Glory Days" by Little Mix in the Top 100 at 8,716 points (peak: 1, wks: 117). My chartrun matches OCC's chartrun. Regards, Ronnie

Hi, I checked another three albums and found the following differences: I have ABBA - Gold (Greatest Hits) at 38,623 points (HP: 1, WKS: 875) and my chartrun matches OCC's site. Do you know of any errors on OCC on this chartrun? Note that my chartrun excludes the five week run during 2014/2018 for Gold/More Gold - Greatest Hits (OCC also treats this as a separate album/chartrun). I have Bob Marley & The Wailers - Legend at 36,315 points (HP: 1, WKS: 863) and my chartrun matches OCC's site, except for July 10, 1999 when OCC puts this album incorrectly at #35 where it should have been at #30. Do you know of any other errors on OCC on this chartrun? I have Ed Sheeran - Divide at 9,488 points (HP: 1, WKS: 101) and my chartrun matches OCC's site. Regards, Ronnie

Hi Dannyboy, I love these lists you put out here and decided to register a Buzzjack account and reply. I'm also working on an UK albums database and lists like these help me compare numbers. Good news is some numbers match, but the bad news is that there's also a lot that doesn't match. I'll be investigating my numbers to come up with explanations for differences and I'll report back. For now, I have checked your "bottom 25" numbers and found a few big differences and some smaller ones. The biggest differences I found are: * Guns N' Roses - Greatest Hits is, according to my numbers, at #73 with 9856 pts (1 hp, 311 wks) * Robbie Williams - Life Thru A Lens is at #90 with 9296 pts (1 hp, 147 wks) * Ed Sheeran - Divide is at #91 with 9228 pts * Rod Stewart- The Best Of shouldn't be in the list, since you combine three different greatest hits albums (from 1976: 1630 pts, 1989: 7458 pts and 1992: 43 pts) Smaller differences (< 15 pts) found for Ellie Goulding, Rihanna, Radiohead, Seekers, Take That, Bruno Mars, Dire Straits, Coldplay, Madonna, Lionel Richie and Phil Collins. Let me know if you want me to give more of my numbers. Cheers, Ronnie
