Recycling a winner from less than a year ago pretty much is going to be a veto 99.9% of the time though. Personal charts are listed in the write-ups for context, they're not often a direct factor in songs being vetoed.

Maybe it would have been better for me not to remind everyone of this one existing but there was Lil Peep and XXXTENTACION - Falling Down in 2018.

It's Mulaa *Joans - was going to say surely that's a first time add too but looked her up and apparently she's had a couple of C-List songs before (including one where her name was also spelt wrong on here ), no memory of seeing her name before oops! I have heard a song from her now via the Pop Forum Song Contest and she seems to be another artist in the vein of Skye Newman / SIENNA SPIRO so could well get a breakthrough hit at some point. (edit: was misreading, she only had one previous R1 add but also has been on the Capital Buzz playlist where her name was also misspelt x)

They passed on hosting 138 - they did theoretically host a contest before that although it was basically Aeroche hosting as Leww had to step in to do most of the actual work due to Travis' laptop issues at the time oop x All veto research is done now so expect a couple of vetoes today, sorry for taking a while again but hopefully won't hold us up too much. As it stands we have an entry from every country who entered last month (minus the banned ones) plus 6 returners - to Beaverdonia, Daehun, Dalisska, Mulgracia, Ramrynia and Thelonia x

I'm sure they're just referring to the chart update. The promo soundbite for the chart show played on Greg's show this morning does feel like a spoiler though... maybe spoiler as it is framing the chart as being a battle between Sam/Olivia and HUGEL with no mention of Ella. Given HUGEL hasn't been leading any of the midweeks I have to assume that means he's probably overtaken at the last minute (surprising if so considering it's been the other way round in recent weeks with Ella overtaking/pulling ahead of HUGEL). Maybe I'm just reading too much into it though like when I thought a few weeks ago that it was hinting at Madonna being #1 x

This surge for 'I Love You' being about a year and a half too late for it to chart without a reset. Manifesting the OCC noticing it and letting it chart anyway x

It did chart for quite a while! (Unless you mean in the top 40 in which case yes not quite) 9 weeks in the top 100 although only peaking at #82, I thought I remembered it going a bit higher than that.

I'm not sure a song that made the top 100 from an artist that had never had a top 40 hit at that point could be said to be 'severely underperforming' x

Think there are only about 4 artists this time that I've ever heard of before! Hiipe (and sent over my recap timings, good to see you are making one of those - in most recent song contests I've listened to Spotify previews as a makeshift recap but for some reason the embedded Spotify playlists now play the songs in full rather than just clips so that trick doesn't work any more!) I see the longest song being immediately followed by the shortest song again ...that wasn't one of the artists I'd heard of though!
