  1. There is a list somewhere but it's very out of date. I'll endeavour to post an up to date list for the countries in this contest in the near future x
  2. May I also request 'Talking Heads' by black midi for their ex-guitarist Matt Kwasniewski-Kelvin x
  3. Danæviia now becoming the fourth country to have pinched my artists 3+ times x (and D'yermak'er recycling me for the first time).
  4. I think there's only a remix of the Zephyra Continuum song on Apple - I did notice though that Wubble-U have a bunch of different versions on Apple but nothing on Spotify, odd x (aside: I wasn't 100% sure which version of the Wubble-U song was sent as the tag Colm submitted was 'Petal 7' which... I don't think exists as a tag for the song outside of a couple of third party YouTube uploads so I don't know where that's come from. From a quick skim the audio definitely seems to match the 'English Rose' version anyway, of which the 'Pruned' version is just a shorter edit, so gone with that as the closest match xx) I assume Dan is planning to just run a SyncTube session concurrently with the final results? Which would be a first I think x (Indeed tomorrow going to be quite busy between an 80s session and a semi listenthrough but I'll be around for both anyway) Hot Chip were sent once before in BJSC 74 - it's fine though, all of his various projects sound quite different really. (I actually sent him twice as I was behind one of The 2 Bears' songs too - the forever iconic 'Bear Hug' *.*)
  5. A 10 minute Persephonia recycle getting the AQ slot I was a massive flop fan of music in general in 2025 so I've not actually heard this song yet but love to see Maruja getting another shot in the contest anyway, though I'm sure I'll be torn between wanting it to smash and being salty if it greatly outdoes 'One Hand Behind The Devil' which blatantly deserved much better than 20th (that's definitely up there with my favourites ever of my own entries). D'yermak'er's comeback also being a Persephonia recycle! Feels like it's been ages since I've heard of TĀLĀ releasing music so hiipe to hear what she's been cooking ~ also Summericia sending an artist I previously sent to Club Bizarre (I think this is like the third time that's happened...!) and Zanmatony being a sort of Persephonia recycle (as I sent Joe Goddard as a solo artist before - think this is now his 9th outing in the contest in all between 3 solo entries and 2 entries apiece with The 2 Bears, HARD FEELINGS and Hot Chip) My own entry this month is an obscure pick (<2k plays on Spotify) courtesy of a topical video about Venezuelan music on the Fantano channel - I heard a recommendation of a post-punk band and I had to investigate immediately x The song I've sent I think is possibly closer to new wave than post-punk, I'd describe it as kind of sounding like if Bad Bunny made a song inspired by Depeche Mode. A bit annoying that the song title isn't capitalised on streaming services but ah well I see mine is one of the shortest songs in the semi once again, #longsongbloc I'll return to you soon x I think there are 4 songs I've already heard from my own semi, a couple from PJSC as usual (FLJ's is a good one, if really scraping being allowed through here, I am 100% enforcing a shadowban on Faouzia if this goes top 10 again for her xx) and a couple of throwbacks from a few years ago that I remember enjoying but haven't heard for ages so will be good to revisit (Baleghde and Cheiron). And another 4 I've heard from the other semi (maybe 5? I've heard something from Florence Road on Radio 1 before I'm sure but not sure which song it was), of those I am giving some early hype again to Mothertopia! Also a couple of BJSC bingo squares crossed off for the year already with us having songs called both 'Ghosts' and 'Higher' The Traitors theming is a bit lost on me as a non-fan of the show but still enjoying the consistent aesthetic of this contest so far, bring on the songs x
  6. Voted now! Not the most up my street batch of songs ever but still made some good discoveries x
  7. Ooops sorry I am really falling behind but handily have a few days off work coming up so I can catch up 40-31 thoughts: I initially thought 'Porcelana' may have peaked on first listen for me but then it started to grow on me a lot more again and I think I'd now rank it within the top 5 of the album, love the menacing production and actually think Dougie's contribution sounds pretty cool (shame it seems to be quite a divisive inclusion among the fanbase). Think The Marías song sounded like quite a natural progression from the hits from their previous album, another nice one from them. 'Midnight Sun' is a banger and quite possibly now my favourite Zara song so hooray that the UK public have woken up to it months after release, hearing both that and 'Lush Life' in the chart at the same time really highlights to me how much her vocals have improved (not that I don't still bop to 'Lush Life') and big fan of the breakbeat/Jersey club(?) flair in the instrumental, plus the video is a big vibe for sure. I think I recall thinking the Sidewalks And Skeletons song was fairly middle of the road by his standards when I first heard it but enjoyed it a lot more when revisiting it for this, the vocal effect is quite cool, think it is reminding me of another song I cannot recall which is always annoying x Ooh good to see that there is an EP from Mount Palomar coming out soon as I've loved all the songs I've heard from him from your chart (and Chez's BJSC entry), Makeshift Art Bar have also been yet another good discovery from your chart from the post-punk space so a strong crossover there <3 and still absolutely stan 'Tonight' every time I hear it, I thought it'd be tough for her to top 'Mosquito' for me but she's done it with this (and iirc you didn't actually chart 'Mosquito' at all so glad we're more on the same page on this one x), the 'like what?' ad libs always get stuck in my head every time I hear it and the song is packed with hooks and another very cool music video indeed (definitely need to get around to seeing this 'Stateside' music video ASAP after complimenting both artists' visuals in this post). 'The Silence That Remains' ofc a great holdover from last year, shame that like 'Cold Reactor' also did iirc it's been caught between years and not made your EOY top 10 in either aw x I do like all of the other songs in this section too but again don't really have a lot to say about them (sorry twigs again + both of the Nilüfer songs, I feel like her songs are always consistently nailing a very similar vibe that I always enjoy but does lead to them blurring together in my memory a bit oops, funny coincidence though that they've popped up in the same section as 'Midnight Sun' as I think Nilüfer's own song of the same name (albeit all lower case) is also my favourite from her!)
  8. There is an option to filter by 'conversations I started' which is effectively the same thing as the old sent items. (Can't seem to figure out how to access this on mobile but it definitely works on desktop x)
  9. Brer posted a post in a topic in R&B and Hip-Hop
    It's not offensive, it's just inexplicable x

You clearly haven't read many Hadji posts before
  11. 'Zombie' mostly just reminds me of Hoobastank's 'The Reason' lol ~ I guess it is pop rock. x Will still get my votes in tonight but not in so much of a rush now I guess!
  12. Oops appears that I am finally being hit with the 'sign in to YouTube to prove you're not a bot' prompt on embedded videos... a few frantic Googles later it appears the only way around it if it doesn't randomly go away on its own is to use a VPN so I've quickly downloaded a free one and it does seem to work, might take a few seconds to load the videos as the free version of the VPN is quite limited but that'll do for now :') (hopefully this is just a temporary thing that goes away by tomorrow anyway x)
  13. Lol, I can't seem to immediately find the Vine (?) that it came from but it was just someone making fun of the singing style employed by certain alt-pop girls (Halsey was the main one iirc).
  14. Not sure how likely it is for A$AP Rocky to beat Olivia this week anyway - obviously been a long time since his last album but none of his previous albums made the top 5. Could see it being a #3 debut. (aside, there aren't any features listed on the songs yet but they may show up in a day or two as has happened with a lot of other recent hip-hop albums - the 3 highest charting songs today appear to all be solo songs anyway but 'STAY HERE 4 LIFE' has Brent Faiyaz on it according to Wikipedia x)
