iTunes Chart: December II
Uh sure, a Platinum selling debut album, 5 top 10 singles - 3 of which sold over 200k definitely fits the adjective of "floppy".

iTunes Chart: December II
 OK, to make a comparison barely even half of the singles that the Sugababes or GA have released have surpassed 120k in sales so then according to your definition of poor sales that would mean both groups have sold poorly most of the time, which we both know isn't the case. It is quite obvious you just want to take a dig at The Sats and not ignore the facts I'm stating regarding GA whereas what you say about The Sats is completely bias! And btw, it is still too early for FIO to make an impact on the YTD since it was released in October, had it been earlier in the year it would be at a much better position now. The sophomore album's lead single should have never been released in 2009 anyway and that put FIO at a huge disadvantage so under the circumstances it did extremely well. A peak of #2 is a hit, you can't deny it and sales of over 120k+ is exceptional regardless of what format era a single's been released in.

iTunes Chart: December II
You misinterpreted. I used Sugafakes in reference to my first post and Soul Sound in reference to my second post. They didn't coinside with each other whatsoever. Anyway, I think everyone gets the point I'm trying to make! :D If Ego keeps rising on iTunes at this pace it should have no trouble in charting within the top 40 by the end of week! =]

iTunes Chart: December II
On ratio The Sats singles chart runs $h!t all over more than 50% of the Sugababes chart runs. And the record company obviously does care about Wordshaker's drop if they released such a flawless single like Ego with an equally flawless music video to accompany it and in addition they've already organised quite useful promo for the single so they obviously are banking on Ego to save the era and I wouldn't blame them because things were looking the same with Chasing Lights until Up and Issues saved the era, it's just a trend with Sats albums which is why it's better to only judge the album's performance after the 2nd or 3rd single.

iTunes Chart: December II
What's with the sarcasm? That chart run is fine and much better than AAG's 8-13-23-34. Forever Is Over was a huge hit, if it wasn't for Chipmunk it would've been no.1 and it's sold 125k so far! :cheer: 6 weeks in the top 40 is decent. Some GA singles like See The Day, Whole Lotta History or St Trinians barely even get 6 weeks in the top 100. Likewise with the Sugafakes ala Soul Sound, Follow Me Home, Easy etc etc. FIO is already on it's ninth week in the top 100 which is good, it may not be having the immense chart runs Up or Issues had but it held up extremely well under the circumstances that the Chasing Lights era only came to an end some two months before the Wordshaker era begun. Who cares, the album run is going to be so much better after Ego and the 3rd single start having an affect. The release was rushed and only die-hard fans knew about the album, it was so rushed that people still aren't ready to move away from Chasing Lights and onto Wordshaker as the sales and chart positions reflect. So obviously with more time and more single Wordshaker is going sell and rebound. And a top 10 album is outstanding irrespective of the chart run or whatever.

The Saturdays: X Factor Needs More Girlbands
http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2009/03/29/article-1165635-02E8E3A5000005DC-566_468x453.jpg The Saturdays have claimed that The X Factor needs to produce more girlbands. Singer Mollie King, who auditionde with previous group Fallen Angelz in 2007, admitted that she was disappointed that solo performers and boybands are more successful on the ITV1 show. "There really needs to be more girlbands coming out of The X Factor because they always seem to go out at the beginning. I really don't get it," she told the Daily Star. Girlband Kandy Rain were the first act voted off the live shows this year. Miss Frank followed two weeks later. The Saturdays release new single 'Ego' on January 4. Source: Digital Spy

Chipmunk Wanted The Sats On "Oopsy Daisy"
"In your latest single 'Oopsy Daisy' you name check The Saturdays song 'Issues'. Big Saturdays fan? You know what, when I wrote the track I had them in mind to do the female vocals and they loved it, but their single was due to come out at the same time, so it would have messed up their schedule. I couldn't get someone to do the demo as well as the demo was, so because I couldn't get The Saturdays to do it I stuck with the original vocalist Miss Dee who has an amazing voice." iTunes Chart: December II
Yay The Sats are top 30 already and it's just under a month before it's physically released, it's going to be even huger than Up once the new year comes! :yahoo: Come on girls, show those Sugafakes how successful a girl group should really be. I'm so glad and always knew About A Girl would fall like a signature McFly brick. Surely a sign that they should give up already.

"Russian Roulette" // 1st single

Choose the 'Rated R' singles
TBH now that I think of it, The Last Song is by far the best ballad on the album and it actually would've been the best lead single as well. I think it may even be her best to-date. It's so overlooked and underrated, I get double the amount of goosebumps from it than Russian Roulette. :o

Choose the 'Rated R' singles
1. Russian Roulette 2. Hard 3. Te Amo 4. G4L Russian Roulette and Hard are perfect as the first two singles. Fire Bomb/Photographs/Rude Boy are too A Girl Like Me-ish and like everything else out there. She needs to go with something different but 10/10-standard at the same time, and those two would be Te Amo and G4L. Wait Your Turn is a wrong choice, really, there's so much better on the album. As stunning as Cold Case Love is, it is anything but single material so it'd be better off as that memorable stand-out album track rather than that single that flopped.

"Video Phone" (feat. Lady GaGa) • Eighth US Single
I'm guessing this will be performed on X Factor instead of BHG? I seem to be the only one who loves absolutely adores everything about this single LOL deserves to be huge. Bey just can't do no wrong, this makes Diva look like a demo TBH the length of the track suprisingly makes me want to listen to it more and more.

Amerie ∙ 'In Love & War'
SwagBack and More Than Love have been confirmed as the next singles. Great choices, really loving More Than Love at the moment.

Promo Schedule
On December 5th she'll be on Saturday Night Live.

Mary J. Blige ∙ 'Stronger withEach Tear'
Ninth studio album being released on December 22nd in the UK and the following day in the US. She's worked with the likes of Darkchild, Stargate, Ryan Leslie and Keri Hilson. These are the 3 singles off it that have/are being released off it in the US: The One 01gOJvNQbVM Stronger yd5oCiqIAIY I Am kZVFaLlvolk
-
Toni Braxton ∙ 'Yesterday'
The Trey Songz version is probably for the US only, his extremely popular there, and only there so it would most likely gain more attention from various markets to add him on it, rather than just Toni. They'll probably only release this next year in the UK, and without Trey Songz because it would be pointless releasing it with him if noone knows who he is outside the US unless they're planning something else singlewise for the UK and which is maybe why nothing's been confirmed for the UK yet?
-
Brandy ∙ Sixth Studio Album
Not sure if this is making the album, but if it isn't the album must be beyond perfection when compiled because this is just too emotional, too amazing. Can't find a single fault with it. A very promising taste of what's to come? :D ocnag-gvAws Looking forward to more leaks. Human was brilliant, hopefuly the forthcoming record can topple it and be more organised etc by the label for it to be a proper success. Still gutted at how poorly Human did, can't dwell on the past I suppose and she's obviously not giving up just yet which is what most long-in-the-business artists do when they flop by their own standards.
-
Toni Braxton ∙ 'Yesterday'
The duet version with Trey Songz is magic  and better than Toni on her own, so glad they're using it as the official version. Their voices blend brilliantly together and its really given the song such a boost. Nice video too, was such a huge fan of her would have never thought she'd come back after all the years of absence so I'm dying to hear the album. This track is just in a league of its own, it beats every single song on both Whitney's and Mariah's latest albums, for me. Hope she betters them as well in terms of success.
-
Keri Hilson ∙ 'I Like'
This is amazing. Her voice is great, the catchyness, the chorus everything about it just screams "single." It's so instant, would be a good idea for them to release it as a non-album single here. It's fresh, Energy flopped because of it being around that long - people lost interest in it quickly for the same reason. This would go top 40 atleast with some decent promo. Brilliant video too, she's looking great
-
Amerie ∙ 'In Love & War'
Her label really f***ed her over by releasing the album without any lead single, did they really expect it would sell without anyone knowing about it or know what it would sound like at least? I absolutely adore this album, it's very strong and tracks like Dangerous, Heard Em All and Higher are up there among her best work, in my opinion. Any 2 of those 3 would make immense singles, hopefuly they release a single off this eventually and them re-release the album because this is way too good to just go to waste. Amerie's voice is just hypnotising LOL, she really is amazing. And I love retro simplicity of the backings used on most of the album tracks. She seriously needs a new label, they've only been burdens to her, I can't think of anything more dumb than releasing an album without any lead single especially in relation to a female mainstream R&B artist :S

'Rated R' // 4th Album
Rihanna Talks Barbed Wire on Rated R Album Cover Rihanna has been facing a little bit of criticism for the covers related to her new album, Rated R due to the fact that she was covered in nothing but barbed wire in the single cover of Russian Roulette. However, Rihanna is defending herself and doesn't see anything wrong with it. During a radio interview Rihanna said, "I definitely thought the barbed wire was cool. It was a symbol of strength but fearlessness all at once, that's why we used it." She says that getting the barbed wire around her head wasn't easy, "We took our time and wrapped that barbed wire around me. It took forever because we had to wrap it round the front of me a few times more than the rest of me so it would cover the necessary." Source: http://www.ultimate-rihanna.com/ Also a stunning new track has been leaked in full, it features Justin Timberlake and will act as the bonus track for the UK Edition of Rated R. Really worth listening to, JT and RiRi always do the incredible when together. GLQoESE3vQc
