BTS - Love Yourself 結 'Answer'
It's not a US-specific thing. K-pop acts always do repacks (like those good old deluxe editions) of their albums with just a couple of new tracks, just to squeeze every penny out of their fans. BTS are better about it though as they add enough new tracks for it to be worthwhile and this is the final leg of their long, weird album series and 'bangtan universe'.

Friday Chart Predictions
I'm even more surprised by the fact that it seems their sales may near-double but their album is even lower than the last one.

The Buzzjack Friday Chart Show Thread- 25th May 2018
Shame that BTS missed out on top 40, but great album position. Hopefully they'll properly promote when they finally come here for their tour. 'Airplane' should be the single by then.

JoJo - Mad Love
They added an extra London date for anyone who would like to see the vocalist of our generation twice for a total of 34 quid... Pretty damn good for someone who has been dead for 10 years.

JoJo - Mad Love
It's Amazing. I Can Only, Edibles, Like This, Honest, Clovers, Reckless, High Heels >>> Plus the changes to Good Thing are AMAZING and need to be the next UK single.

JoJo - Mad Love
"Music." is out in Australia. The line quoted above...my God. You can hear her fighting back the tears. She already said she was crying while she sang this song and decided to go with this raw version rather than polishing it, but I still wasn't ready for the emotions. Incredible. The song is storytelling at its best.

JoJo - Mad Love
It's on the deluxe version. It just doesn't fit in with the R&B/Pop fusion on the main album. She sang 16 second acapella snippets of the album on social media and people put it into a video. F-Ojc96tb2I

AbhYHtcw45Q In terms of long hiatuses that aren't self-imposed, this is on its way to becoming one of the best ever. Seems like this album will be incredible.

JoJo is actually doing worse in the US... Wonder what it would take for her to get playlisted here. It could clearly be a big hit.

JoJo - When Love Hurts
Yep. She has gotten quite a bit of publicity and airtime with this comeback too. I think in any other situation, she would be completely washed up and finished. But because she started so young and is still so young, at worst she's a new artist with far more connections than any other new artist. All she needs is one hit, and Good Thing could certainly be it in the UK. They're safe and generic, but perhaps that's what she needs. She needs to get back on the radio with When Love hurts and maybe Save My Soul too, then she can go for the big hit with Good Thing.

JoJo - When Love Hurts
Good Thing (obviously written and produced with MNEK) sounds unreal. She said she will be coming to the UK to promote - surely this has to be the song. https://soundcloud.com/user-686079229-63110...tigerheat-82015

Predict the peak position of JoJo's comeback tringle
She still has a fanbase in the US, and now a major label push. Which is why i'm interested to see if any US success would translate across the pond. Her label essentially went bankrupt and couldn't release any music but refused to release her from her contract for years, which is why she sued out. They've spitefully taken her first album off Spotify, which is why it's hard to find.

Predict the peak position of JoJo's comeback tringle
Pop/R&B powerhouse JoJo is finally making her triumphant return after suing out of her old label, Blackground, that inhumanely kept her hostage for over 6 years. At midnight she will make her major label debut, releasing three singles at once (hashtag tringle) under new label Atlantic: When Love Hurts, Save My Soul and Say Love. Will any eventually stick to become her 5th UK hit or is she washed up and forever forgotten at the ripe old age of 24? The tringles: http://www.iamjojoofficial.com/ Previous hits: 2004: Leave (Get Out) - #4 Baby It's You - #8 2006: Too Little Too Late - #2 2007: Anything - #21 Albums JoJo and The High Road both certified Gold

JoJo - When Love Hurts
Um. You should really go back and listen to it between now and midnight. Without any hyperbole, that second album is a classic. If you don't believe me, listen to Nicki: https://twitter.com/nickiminaj/status/207624894584864769 And I think the III denotes the tringle. She said she hasn't yet decided on an album name.

JoJo - When Love Hurts
They're all a worldwide release. The only difference, I think, is that only When Love Hurts will be "initially" sent to US Pop radio. I think her label believes this is the type of song that would get her played on the radio. But the reaction so far has almost unanimously placed Save My Soul as the best of the tringles, and it definitely could smash. I would rage if she ever gets booked for a performance on a big stage and she performed When Love Hurts over SMS. Any high profile performance of Save My Soul would easily be one of the best pop performances in years.

New Release Schedule: Friday 14 August
JoJo is releasing three singles at once on August 21st: "Say Love", "Save My Soul" and "When Love Hurts". The latter will be the main single.
-
JoJo - When Love Hurts
It's not "triangle"; they're marketing these songs as a "tringle" (llike single, but three). The singles are called "When Love Hurts", "Save My Soul" and "Say Love". And the release doesn't sound messy - only "When Love Hurts" will be propped up, sent to (US) radio, etc. So far, it seems like they're actually handling it well. She has already started radio promo in the US and it will fully kick off after Friday. Also, the album is finished and just needs to be mastered, pefected, etc.. Since the anouncement, she has been holding small listening parties with fans in the US, showing them the tringle songs and a few others. All the feedback has been genuinely positive. Say Love: It’s a mid-tempo Pop/R&B track that showcases her vocals flawlessly. At the end there was this dope riff thing and I found myself saying “Well damn!!” so loud she looked at me and laughed. Save My Soul: Another mid-tempo song she wrote as a reflection of addition. She spoke about being raised by two alcoholic parents and that AA was just a common thing growing up. She wanted to talk about her own thoughts on it and said she gets emotional when she hears it. She spoke about the infinity tattoo she has on he wrist that is a quote as well. It’s still catchy and open for interpretation for all, but the guitars flow on this track so well. I can see a lot of people overlooking it, but its good. When Love Hurts: When Love Hurts bops SO hard. That was the last #tringle song she played for us before she went into some album tracks. It's pop with house influence, and her vocals slayed so ****ing hard. This is the song that will be sent to radio. She’s filming a video for this (and every Tringle song) when she gets back to LA and will pay homage to Paris is Burning. VERY poppy with a soul drive. We all will be grooving!! -- So, she played 5 songs off the new record - the 3 singles she's releasing next week and 2 other songs that weren't quite finished/mixed. The 3 singles were 3 very distinct sounds. One was a kind of R&B/pop power ballad called "Say Love," and it was AMAZING. The main single they're sending to radio is called "When Love Hurts," and it's got this crazy cool '90s deep house vibe and her vocals are insane. I'm totally blanking on the name of the other piece of the trifecta but it was recorded in Sweden, and has this really neat 80s sound - think Ariana's "Love Me Harder" on steroids. One of the unfinished songs was called "Like This" (she made a joke about how she has a record called "Like That" and now "Like This" lol) and it's a super smooth, sexy R&B track along the lines of "Demonstrate." The last song was called "Good Thing" and it was similar in sound to "When Love Hurts" - very 90s-inspired dance/house with power vocals. She made a point to say that while all these songs are different, the album as a whole will be a cohesive piece that flows from one song/sound to another. The music, from an honest and objective standpoint, is absolutely incredible and I KNOW it's going to be huge. I'm so excited for everyone to hear :) And performing When Love Hurts and Say Love. Though I doubt the recording does the former justice. 3-8UNemR6Ys rInlKgY3g4Q You can hear the production of When Love Hurts here: https://instagram.com/p/6dAzEdnC0K/?taken-by=iamjojo

Fazer - Killer
I don't like the song, but the production (which is his talent) is great and different to the standard dance-pop tracks right now. I think it will do well. He also said that he has a load of big collabs and is almost putting together a Timbaland-esque album so I'm interested to see what comes after this.

The Buzzjack Sunday Chart Show Thread
Well it's one thing if you personally don't like her voice or not think she's great, but unlike performances from the Rihannas and Katy Perrys of this world there were no flaws in her vocals (i.e. bum notes, off-pitch moments, bad technique or weak whisper vocals) for that poster to say that she can't hold a tune. She clearly can. The rest is subjective.

Lol, that's not true at all. The guy definitely can't sing, but he's the band's drummer and fine just singing a couple of lines and harmonizing. Amanda is a good pop singer, though. Nothing amazing, but she's better than most pop singers these days and has a very nice tone. wrVkmcUg01o

Ugh. RIP is so bland and pointless. Horrible number one IMO. I hope Tulisa can peg her back after BGT.
