I can't see PSB hanging about in the top 75. Compared to their last album ;- Yes, this album has had very little promotion. I can't remember seeing or hearing them giving any t.v or radio interview. The worst song was the lead single and it's a much slower album. The great thing about Elysium is they are writing what they want, instead of giving the critics ten It's a Sin's. Elysium is actually a beautiful piece of work. Especially after 2 or 3 listens.

Can anyone confirm that anything you buy today, counts towards next weeks charts? Or do new releases only count from Monday? Cheers.

That's their problem but like Brett-Butler said, they do sell physicals. They were number #1 on the amazon cd single chart but obviously that doesn't mean a lot lol. Neverthemind.

Sorry to be a pain but is there any chance of getting info on Erasures new single from anywhere? I thought it might have crept into the top 40 at the beginning of the week at least but it would be nice if it's between 41-100. Thanks for any info.

Sorry if this sounds dumb but it states that positions 41-75 are downloads only and includes no physical sales. Am i reading correctly? I'd have expected PSB to be much lower than 75 if it were downloads only.

I think it's alright. Better than I'm With Stupid and Numb. I also prefer it to Did You See Me Coming? but that's just differeing opinions. I still expected it to creep into the top 40 though, just to keep up the tradition. Neverthemind.

A real shame Pet Shop Boys are going to miss the top 40 for the first time ever. It's never even got into the top 300 on the i-tunes chart.

Today isn't the official single release date, is it? It's number 70 on i-tunes. I thought it was released November 29th.

I'll be buying the deluxe version. Really looking forward to all those Top of the Pop's appearances and BBC shows. The problem with a PSB hits package, is that there are too many good songs that don't make it. I read somewhere that this release is contractual, hence it's release.

Glad PSB held on. Number 40 isn't bad at Xmas considering the track is a 12 year old song previously given away for free and backed up by a 3rd song off their album. A good way to start!

They still do very well to get top 20 singles and top 5 albums to be fair. They don't hang around for long but bands from a similar era don't even make it in the top 40 most of the time. So at least there is still the market for them but only just. Heard this yesterday and it's fantastic. Viva La Vida could have been a bit better but it's alright. Really like the catchy 'My Girl' and the other two tracks, All OVer The World and the Xmas song are subllime. great end to a great year i reckon.

Thing is with Jimmy White, the public love him. He's a true sporting hero and as honest as they come. His personality is very laid back though, certainly not controversial, so maybe he will just fall short.

I think IDOSAC was released on some compilation to do with Elton John a few years back.

Would it be possible to give out any info on the placing of Erasure's album - The Innocents? Thanks :)
