  9. I've just thought of a simile that will hopefully explain this to you, adds dates are like physical single release dates in the UK; the songs are available before that date to download from the album and thus there it nothing stopping them from doing so. If people want it they will get it, songs even get to #1 before the physical release date and sometimes there isn't even a physical release date because it's really just a formality. This is exactly the same as on the radio, the songs are available from the time it premieres or even leaks to be played on the radio station and if the demand is enough then they will do it. There's nothing stopping them so why not?
  10. http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/7411/friendloverani3.gif No. Look who's putting words in mouths now. The link was mearly backing up the fact that a adds means nothing, otherwise there would be no CHR stations there. um no you did not: 'It gets sent to radio for official adds on July 21st....so officially it shouldn't have any significant airplay rolleyes.gif' 22million is definately significant airplay. 'those stations that don't have her' can add her any time they want! That is why the adds date means nothing, because if the demand for the song is strong enough what is stopping them from adding the song 'early'? No you didn't and in your words stop 'changing what you said'. You said it wouldn't be significant not that it wouldn't be high. That was not even needed because, as you pointed out, it still counts for the charts  How relevant to the discussion  Adds dates do mean nothing, evidenced from the amount of songs that take off without them, for example one that sticks out in my mind is LoveGame (due to me being a fanboy of GaGa no doubt) which got to the top 40 of the CHR chart without even being confirmed as the next single.
  11. Paparazzi is up to #3 :)
  12. Please no, don't tell me this will be a hit here :puke2:
  13. That list was to point out that if official adds means everything then why have all those stations added her? It's already #17 on Rhythmic charts and is being played on 62/73 urban stations so don't try telling me it isn't getting airplay there. Exactly, it's airplay is already 22mill and if adds means everything then its airplay would be 0.
  14. Bibliotheque posted a post in a topic in Television
omg  @ Halfwit in that clip. Halfwit ftw.
  15. seriously dead at HM outselling Mariah
  16. About The Ting Tings I think when a song is consistently growing/stable in airplay/sales they make exceptions about the recurrent rule. @ lightyears: radio adds dates mean nothing for an artist like Mariah Carey's first single. http://addboard.mediabase.com/SongAddHisto...p?sngcde=CAREO1
  17. Ting Tings are back  Mariah won't be #1 next week, she still has poor airplay and she's #4 (I think) on iTunes so she won't have huge sales pushing her to #1
  18. Paparazzi is 5, 881 and 912 on the songs chart and the EP is 187 on the albums chart. hmm
  19. :snif: Damn you and your 35 copies BEP!!!!
  20. Paparazzi #1 in AUS again, I have no idea what caused that massive climb though. It basically doubled its popularity bar in about 24hours? Oh well I'm not complaining :)

  22. RIP Paparazzi :snif:
