Probably going to watch this tonight as it seems to be the only live final that doesn't clash with Sweden. I wonder if Portugal will ever try sending a song fully in English ? I get that countries want to protect their culture which is great but the odd song in English every now and then won't hurt! Plus I'm sure it'd help pick them up more votes as they are selling the song to Europe not Portugal ;p

It would be amazing if they didn't even make it to the final! So will we hear the song today?

I loved ALL the songs from 1996 - 2002 and Jade had a great voice but crappy song. Everything else since 2002 excluding this year (which needs a little bit of production work to be perfect) has been diabolical.

I can see them picking up points with Ace or Helena but nobody else would connect that well with europe. I do like sanna too but it's not got enough 'ommph' The ace chorus reminds me of this: vD6qaYFVUng

So is it clear what day we are going to find out the russian entry? I can never tell how well russia will do as they won with their second worst song they ever sent (IMO!) I'm hoping they will come bottom of the scoreboard this year with only Azerbaijan and Belarus awarding them points! If they do win this year it will be horrendous as it will show that europe don't care about russian gays/ russia 'invading' other countries when they choose - well im sure that is the way Putin will interpret it ;p I know the contest shouldn't have political stands but Russia coming bottom would be a clear message to the country!

But we do currently only have competition from Hungary and Romania and neither of those countries have won before and the songs aren't amazing. I can't see people voting for another scandi win this year and id like to hope people will boycott voting russia. So depending on how strong the songs are that are yet to be released i can only see Azerbaijan/Greece being of any threat... but maybe i'm wrong ;p haha

I love Ruth but this song is just crap. It's a a shame Brequette didn't win but she wasn't the best live.

I keep finding myself singing 'power to the people' but i'm still a little underwhelmed by the overall production. hoping that we haven't heard the final mix yet.

It sounds much better as the studio version as the annoying backing singers are much more toned down - but as she says in the interview they are important to the live performance as no pre-recorded backing vocals can be used on the night. I still think there is 'something' missing to the overall song which would make it amazing rather than just a good entry from the UK - i think the instrumental could do with a bit of a tweaking to make the flow of the song more cohesive though...

The backing vocalists are really annoying -_- and i still feel the 'children of the universe' part in the song sounds really disjointed to the verses. i need studio quality -_-

I don't like it yet and going off a first listen point of view that isn't the best of impacts considering most of europe will only here it once. BUT i'm currently putting it down to the sound quality being quite bad in the presentation / the backing vocalists being too loud and her singing at the start being way too low. Hopefully with a bit of arrangement tweaking it could be great on the night
