Falling Slowly - Glen Hansard & Marketa Irglova
This isn't really a current release or anything but I just came across this today and it's one of the most beautiful songs I have heard in a long time: It actually won an Oscar in 2007 and I just think it's really nice  Enjoy!

iTunes Thread: March 2009 (Part 2)
How often is the UK Top 300 updated? The Australian one's updated either once every 24 or 36 hours, which is pretty sucky haha.

Australia iTunes Chart - Top 300
Yeah, they actually came down here in 2006 to promote/release Biology/Chemistry but Biology only got to #26 so they gave up haha. SOTU and Jump have also reached top 30 here though. I reckon SKO or S!NNN... would have gone off here but the record company are retarded, unfortunately. The market in general is alot more suited to them as pop is really big here right now, it would be an ideal time to come down here for a couple of weeks of promo. Last time they stayed for about 3 days and performed on like 2 TV shows. They should just come down for a fortnight or so after the tour.

Australia iTunes Chart - Top 300
For a month or so now all the Aussie GA fans have been trying to get through to UMA to encourage then to release some newer Girls Aloud stuff, at least digitally. We've actually had some considerable success - The Promise has been played on a popular nation-wide countdown, Sydney's most popular radio station has shown interest in picking up The Promise and our campaign's been featured on Defamer. But we've decided to really get the attention of UMA we're all gonna download CTS next Friday, as that's the newest GA song we have. We're hoping to crack the Top 300, and it would be awesome if we could get any higher. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N1w_vg0oGCE :w00t:

iTunes Thread: March 2009 (Part 2)
Hope GA can stay in the Top 125 until the promo schedule really kicks in. Is there any way to access an Australian version of this chart? I mean, apart from the top 100 on the store itself...

Bringing Girls Aloud to Australia
I agree, I don't get what's wrong with the record company, UMA is so stupid. TU would have gone absolutely through the roof here, but I didn't know about them during that era :( I actually found CTS on this CD called Future Pop 2.0, and it was sponsored by Nova, so there could be something there...

'Not Fair'
I think Not Fair was an ok choice, but I was expecting either Everyone's At It or Not Fair. I think the order should be: The Fear Everyone's At It I Could Say Not Fair F*** You

New to the Lily Allen forum?
Personal Guff Name: John :) Age:15 The Usual AF Questions Favourite Lily Song: Hmm..from AS probably LDN or Knock Em Out, and from INMIY probably Never Gonna Happen. But as a whole album I probably prefer AS. Have You Ever Met Lily? Nope :( Have You Seen Lil' Live? No, but I'm going to see her in June when she comes to Sydney! If So Where? Other Interests Who Are Other Favourite Artists? Amy Winehouse, Black Eyed Peas, Blondie, Duffy, Girls Aloud, Gwen Stefani, MIA, Mark Ronson, Nelly Furtado, No Doubt, P!nk, the Presets, Robbie Williams, Sneaky Sound System. Those are my very favourites :P Favourite Song (In The History Of The World Ever)? Far out this is hard. I'd say possibly Knock 'Em Out actually. Favourite TV Show? How I Met Your Mother! Favourite Film? The Holiday

Back To The Start, it just doesn't quite do it for me like the other tracks.

Girls Aloud • Untouchable
That's why I love them - they just churn out album after album :yahoo: Sucks they won't be releasing a new one this year though. <_< Personally I would have preferred Miss You Bow Wow - they need to do something upbeat and fun for a change. Hopefully the bideo will be epic though.

Bringing Girls Aloud to Australia
I don't think Chemistry was the right album to release here. Tangled Up would have been ideal here, Sexy! No No No... and Call The Shots could be massive here I reckon.

The Veronicas 'Take Me on the Floor' // Spring 2009
I actually prefer Hook Me Up to Take Me On The Floor, but I guess I'm in the minority there. If anything TMOTF deserves a new video that looks like it cost more than $5.

Nat Bass // '1000 Stars'
I was a fan of Alive, but I don't really get the appeal of Someday Soon to be honest. She's doing really well for herself though, good on her! Wonder if she'll be able to stay at #1 this week? i'm betting she'll slip to #3, with U2 at #1 and Lily Allen at #2. I've read a few reviews for the album, sounds like it's alright but nothing really special.

Bringing Girls Aloud to Australia
Hey, My name's John (omg bet you never would have guessed) and I'm a big Girls Aloud fan from Australia. I only actually discovered GA mid last year, and for the last month or so I've been on a mission to bring their music to Australia. I've recruited a fair few other Australian GA fans and we have had some success, including a play on nation-wide countdown the Hot 30 and the possibility of a few pins from popular radio station Nova. We've made a Youtube channel (http://www.youtube.com/user/girlsaloudaustralia) and a website (www.girlsaloudaustralia), and I personally have been contacting as many radio stations, music blogs etc. about our campaign. We've als tried contacting Universal Music Australia, who have released a few of GA's songs here in the past, but we've only received automated replies. So basically right now we've reached abit of a dead end, at least until we hear back from radio stations etc. I was hoping a few of you might have some tips on how else we could go about getting a release of The Promise and/or Out Of Control. Anything would be great help, as we've done all we can think of. Any ways of promoting their music on a wide scale? Media? Contacts? We'd love them If you have any Aussie friends or relatives, please email them they links to our videos and let them know about GA. Thanks! John :)
