Who will be #1 on the 12th of November release week
Yes, I really like what I’ve heard from Holly.

Album Numbers 1s over the next few weeks.
His last three new studio albums have peaked at 1-2-1, the 2 being stopped by the Elvis RPO album in 2015,..although the fierce competition this time may see this peak lower. Plus, he heavily relies on physical sales and older buyers..may suffer a Covid negative impact.

Rod Stewart - Forever Young - Query
I completely missed that - was it a one week wonder? Hard to argue with the Dylan point, a bit cheeky alright. That makes 3 Top 100 in twelve months after none since 2001 :) "Time" should also get a bump from the forthcoming 2cd deluxe version (although I don't know whether it will share a chart position or get it's own.

Rod Stewart - Forever Young - Query
Thanks..it is the same song, just two very different recordings of it (not remixes). It's the first time he has been in the singles chart with a self penned song since 1995..

Rod Stewart - Forever Young - Query
New entry at #70 on the singles chart based on the Tesco ad expsosure presumably..but the version in the ad is a Rod-plus-piano (effectively a demo) version from a Rhino outtake boxset in 2009 (Sessions). With both the original and the Sessions version selling at the moment, would both count for the one chart slot - or has the piano version charted somewhere outside the Top 100 this week? Cheers.

VH1 - Top 40 Best Selling UK Singles Acts (Up-Dated List)
So, just so I understand, Rod Stewart who has not released a single since 2001 has almost half a million singles credited to him in the last five years - is that counting all downloads of individual tracks?

New Release Schedule (Physical): Monday 15 February
That's true. It does beg the question though - why not put out Same Old Song when he was doing that all over the TV pre Christmas? Better song, more PR and tied in with the album release. The timing of this one is strange - album has sold pretty much what it can, his tour was already announced. I hope it's not just a cynical move thinking that younger music buyers have heard of him through the Haiti single so they might check out his new single.

New Release Schedule (Physical): Monday 15 February
Rod Stewart Higher and Higher on March 15th... if that is a physical release it will be his first such single since 2001 and his first on J records. In fact, he has not even released singles for download, not to mind physical in nine years..seems strange that he would now.
