  1. I suppose that's a good idea really as unless they have a great debut single I can't see the album being an immediate sucess, however it would be pushing it a bit for a summer release now wouldn't it?
  2. I think an October release would be brilliant again personally, therefore they can send the debut single to radio stations in the summer. :D I really hope their next single is better than 'Walk This Way,' because material like that is making a lot of people think they're no longer such a great credible group.
  3. I think it'll be Beyonce & Shakira but I hope Arctic Monkeys manage to get it. :D
  4. Maybe Sugababes will take note on what's currently credible and use it on their next album, any idea when the new album is scheduled for about?
  5. I hope that 'Brianstorm,' is #1 next week but judging by today's combined chart I think it's very likely that Beyonce & Shakira will beat them to it.
  6. Thanks for posting this. :D I didn't even know that they had done a 'Maneater,' part but it's a good breakdown, maybe that's what they'll record for Radio 1's Live Lounge when they return with a new album then.
  7. Other fans have said on other forums that Mutya admitted to them that she didn't like 'Red Dress,' and there was press circulating about that for sometime, very glad that Mutya is also currently liking the indie music scene.
  8. I'm glad that there's a balance of tracks so there's a good amount of variation, definitley looking forward to hearing more of the heavier tracks too though. :D
  9. I just hope that they decide to go with indie sound because I'm sure they probably realise from their first line-up it could make them much less sucessful then they were before but hopefully they'll decide quality over sucess.
  10. Is the album heavier than the debut on the whole or is it quite balanced between the quieter and heavier songs?
  11. I think Amelle has a fairly distinctive voice aswell and she proved that on the 'Taller In More Ways Tour,' last year and it was always going to be a struggle to find someone with such a strong voice as Mutya but I think they've done quite a good job with it. I'm also very glad that Amelle is in the group due to the fact she seems to be the one who's brought the indie element with her and I think Sugababes will always have the moody reputation and that's how their fans like it. :D
  12. 'Push The Button,' is pure pop and I am a big fan of indie music but I think they actually made a brilliant job with that song and with the help of Dallas Austin it sounded that bit more credible too. :D I don't think there is much chance of 'Ace Reject,' getting a release now but I personally think that their next album will definitley be the one that depends on the rest of their career where they decide whether they carry on or not so they're going to want to make it as good as possible so that it's sucessful, I think they will be attempting to write a classic for this one aswell as going for an indie sound which will hopefully work in their favour and get them more of a demographic of NME readers. :D
  13. I saw them on their 'Taller In More Ways Tour,' last year and they were brilliant then so I have no doubts that they were equally as good this time. :D Hopefully there will be a live DVD and CD made of 'The Overloaded Tour.' :D
  14. It was for Comic Relief no CIN but I'm sure you knew that anyway. I think that there was a good job made with the video but more time should've been spent perfecting the production of the song, they could've made it in to something much more credible had they of just put the thought into it.
  15. I'm hoping that they will release a live version of it on their own eventually, obviously only as a b-side but just so people can hear how much better it sounded and so I can listen to a Sugababes solo version of it. Which reminds me that I was wondering if anyone knows if there's actually going to be DVD of this tour as it would be the most appropriate time with it being a greatest hits tour and it also being an arena tour.
  16. I agree, for some reason Sugababes vocals actually didn't sound as strong on this as they usually do which I could never understand why but it's probably due to the fact of the cheap production. They obviously used Girls Aloud production budget and Sugababes video budget.
  17. I personally think that their classic song is 'Push The Button,' as it's the one that most people know them for, however I do think that 'Ace Reject,' should've been given a release as I think that had the potential to be their real classic song in the way 'Never Ever,' was for All Saints.
  18. I've heard clips of Sugababes performing it on their tour on their own and vocally it did sound a lot stronger imo. They should've have made the b-sides a Sugababes solo version of it and a Girls Aloud solo version of it so it was easier to compare.
  19. 1 - Push The Button 2 - Ace Reject 3 - Good To Be Gone
  20. I thought it was quite good at first but comparing it to the quality of some of the stuff Sugababes have made it's a bit poor, if they were going to cover it I think they should've done so on their own and tried to add a bit of a credible indie edge to it aswell because I think they could've managed to pull that off.
  21. I'm very impressed with the songs I've heard by this band so far, hopefully they'll be quite sucessful. :D Although they're a pop act I don't actually think they're that far off being indie which should bode well for them aswell because that should give them quite a crossover of fans.
  22. Hopefully Mark Ronson manages to get #1 in the combined chart and I hope Arctic Monkeys sales keep up. :D
  23. Where do you think 'Walk This Way,' would've charted if it had not been for charity? I think it might have only charted at about #6 due to the fact it wasn't a very strong cover even though it had the 2 biggest girl groups in Britain on it, I'm also basing this on how quickly it's falling now.
  24. I personally think that 'Run For Cover,' and 'Easy,' both definitley deserved more sucess especially when 'Walk This Way,' was #1 which in all fairness was for charity though.
  25. Tbh I think probably bands such as Fall Out Boy and MCR did start out planning to punk but because of how mainstream they've became it's backfired on them slightly which is a shame as I personally think 'The Black Parade,' as an album has some great elements of the punk sound in it but I'm not too bothered about how mainstream they've became because once again as I mentioned with Green Day they're getting the sucess they deserve now. :D
