Red Light Indicates Doors Are Secured - Off-Topic Thread
Hopefully you will hear it eventually anyway. :D Madness quite obviously aren't going to have sucess in the modern day seeing as their peak was in the 80's but with the right promotion it could be a decent sized hit seeing as it features both Sway & Baby Blue. Don't ask who Baby Blue is because I don't know myself, she sounds like a complete replica of Lady Sovereign so maybe this song is to kickstart her career?

I think pop-rock is a better classification as emo is more of a style than an actual genre imo. Have you heard Madness featuring Sway & Baby Blue? It's the 80's band Madness and the single is called 'Sorry.' :D I think it's actually very good and it doesn't sound too far away from something The Ordinary Boys could have recorded, however there are obviously strong influences of Madness in The Ordinary Boys music.

I'm glad that it's coming to an end but hopefully great bands such as Fall Out Boy and MCR won't change their sound because of this because personally I don't even consider emo as a genre.

Fall Out Boy - Infinity On High
My favourite tracks on 'Infinity On High are 'The Take Over, The Break's Over,' 'Golden,' 'Thnks Fr Th Mmrs,' 'Don't You Know Who I Think I Am,' and 'The (After) Life Of The Party.' :D I've voted for a Modern Rock/American College Rock Forum just now. :)

Rachel Hunter looked very sexy in that video, don't you agree? ^_^ Maybe they would get another hit if they jumped on the emo bandwagon. I definitley hope they don't as it would probably end up sounding awful by Fountains Of Wayne.

 I suppose they could still be considered as a one hit wonder but at the same time they don't seem to give up, from the looks of things that gap from 1997 until 2004 helped them as they created 'Stacy's Mom.' :D As much as I want 'Someone To Love,' to be sucessful I actually doubt they'll ever get a song which manages to sell as much as 'Stacy's Mom,' did.

They've released several albums. Fountains Of Wayne - Fountains Of Wayne (26-05-1997) Fountains Of Wayne - Welcome Interstate Managers (15-09-2003) Fountains Of Wayne - Out Of State Plates (27-06-2005) 'Out Of State Plates,' was just a 2CD album which featured non-album tracks recorded during Fountains Of Wayne's career up to that point. The only album by them I own is 'Welcome Interstate Managers.'

 They actually sent a video out to TV for 'Mexican Wine,' soon after the sucess of 'Stacy's Mom,' and that personally was my 2nd favourite song from 'Welcome Interstate Managers,' but it ended up not getting a release and they moved on to 'Hey Julie,' which in all honesty I don't remember how it sounds so it obviously was a bit c**p.

Unfortunatley I think that it probably will flop but I still think it's a great song, they just need to give it tv/radio play and hopefully people will find it catchy like they did with 'Stacy's Mom,'. Their last single was called 'Hey Julie,' it was released in September 2004 and had a peak of #57, that was their follow-up from 'Stacy's Mom,' but the album 'Welcome Interstate Managers,' wasn't too brilliant apart from a few songs.

[Soundclash #5] JoJo vs. Bloc Party
Bloc Party by far. :D If the next soundclash is Jessica Simpson vs. JoJo I won't be voting.

Jay-Z - Hollywood (feat. Beyonce)
It would be quite interesting to see Jay-Z collaborate with one of his artists such as Lady Sovereign or Rihanna but I guess that him and Beyonce always work together because the tracks he has collaborated on have been very sucessful.

Have you all heard the new single from Fountains Of Wayne named 'Someone To Love'? If not go to thread in the indie forum and listen to it, I think it's just as great as 'Stacy's Mom.' :D

Fountains Of Wayne Return
The more I listen to this song the more brilliant I think it is. :D Hopefully it manages to get good promotion and can possibly sell equally to 'Stacy's Mom,' as imo it's very different but equally as brilliant. :)

The Best Number 1 of 2002?
Sugababes - Freak Like Me Eminem - Without Me Sugababes - Round Round Eminem - Lose Yourself It was between them 4 singles but I chose Sugababes - Round Round, the reason for this is because as good as 'Freak Like Me,' was also 'Round Round,' was the track that proved Sugababes were going to be a sucessful and credible girl group and that 'Freak Like Me,' wasn't just a one #1 wonder.

The Fray - How To Save A Life PREDICT!
#1
-
Kaiser Chiefs - Ruby + Yours Truly, Angry Mob Album
Do you think it will be able to beat The Fray to #1? I realise that Kaisers have probably overtaken them this week but do you think that was just a fan rush for the song or can 'Ruby,' carry on selling aswell next week?

Kaiser Chiefs Slam Arctic Monkeys
As brilliant as Arctic Monkeys are I think Ricky has a point there seeing as both bands are big sellers, Arctic Monkeys even more so than Kaisers. At the same time it's great to have Arctic Monkeys as part of the current music scene though and Arctic's probably just slagged Kaisers off to create a bit of controversy. Either way both bands have their own style and although they cater for the same genre their music is still very different, both good in their own ways. :D
