Friday Chart Predictions
Any news on how bad the inevitable Pet Shop Boys drop for week 2 is so far? Thanks!

Friday Chart Predictions
PSB have a performance on ITV tonight at the National Television Awards. Guess they will perform Monkey Business with the entire video entourage, just as they did at the One show a couple of days ago. This might boost their sales a little, I hope...

UK charts (amazon question)
Probably the stupidest question ever but I'd like to know whether physical amazon album sales count towards the UK album charts? Of course I think that they do but apparently there is a 'discussion' going on on another music forum where someone claims that amazon physical sales wouldn't count towards the official UK album charts. He says things like: You can read t on Wikipedia or wherever, if you like. They do not count because Amazon cannot give an accurate count in terms of new sales when they sell a combination of new, pre-owned and pre-syndicated sales. THEY DO NOT COUNT. HMV counts. Itunes counts. Some others count. If you are going to call it "bollocks" quote something other than Wikipedia to back up your point, rather than being rude, please. What he claims isn't true, right? This topic can be deleted after the question has been answered :D Thanks anyway!

Sunday Chart Predictions
Yeah he has a rap part as well as a part where he also sings on "Thursday" (great song btw). I doubt that the 'younger' audience notices that as long as it's not a single or something like that. Anyway, "Electric" really deserves to be at least top 3 since it is stunning. Stuart Price all the way for the boys ;)

Sunday Chart Predictions
Yeah, that was at the Brits in 2009 where they got their award for "Outstanding contribution to music". This time around they basically had the two pre-album concerts at the o2 and MEN as well as a couple of radio interviews and (at least) many glorious album reviews all over the media. You're right of course. The second week will be bad. But I'd still prefer a drop from #1 to #15 than from #2 to #16 ;)

Sunday Chart Predictions
That's true. Although "Elysium" was a rather poor album and "Electric" is an excellent one. Quite a banger really. Anyway, they should under normal circumstances easily top the 10k of the last album since that was poor even by PSBs standards these days. Their album "Yes" from 2009 managed roughly 30k in its opening week, so you really don't know what to expect from them, really. If Jay-Z only manages 18k this week, I wouldn't be surprised if "Electric" could stay ahead of him but we'll have to wait and see. Also, the PSBs are holding on quite well so far on iTunes (#4 as we speak) which is relatively unusual for them.
