Worst ever collaboration in chart history?
Yeah, that one really is terrible. There's also Victoria Beckham with that bloke from Another Level and some long forgotten garage/dance act doing Out Of Your Mind.

Genre hopping samples in successful songs
It's also true for Tainted Love. Soft Cell didn't do the original version of that either. The original was a Northern Soul song by Gloria Jones.

Are most #1s nowadays one hit wonders?
I wasn't thinking of Charlotte actually...

Are most #1s nowadays one hit wonders?
Mentioning no names, I'm wondering if there's sour grapes because two certain fat '90s stars only got to number two with their biggest hit last year.

Are most #1s nowadays one hit wonders?
It's not really anything new. There are plenty of songs regarded as all time classics that didn't get to number one, and plenty of cheesy novelty stuff got to number one before as well. Remember all number one means is they sold the most records that week. It doesn't mean the record has to be any good.

Funeral For A Friend
I loved Casually Dressed & Deep In Conversation (their first album). Hours is pretty good as well.

Doctor Who • School Reunion
This one was the best episode this series so far. It was a bit like The Demon Headmaster in parts, but it was good. Anthony Head was brilliant. I don't remember many past series of Doctor Who, but I really liked Sarah-Jane and K9. Hope they'll be in again.

2005 Records Of The Year
1) Hard Fi - Hard To Beat (20 points) 2) Gorillaz - Feel Good Inc. (19 points) 3) Kanye West - Gold Digger (18 points) 4) Futureheads - Hounds Of Love (17 points) 5) Arctic Monkeys - I Bet You Look Good On The Dance Floor (16 points) 6) The Killers- Somebody Told Me (15 points) 7) Amerie - 1 Thing (14 points) 8) Kaiser Cheifs- I Predict A Riot (13 points) 9) Natalie Imbruglia- Shiver (12 points) 10) Athlete- Wires (11 points) 11) Stereophonics- Dakota (10 points) 12) Charlotte Church- Crazy Chick (9 points) 13) Kelly Clarkson- Since U Been Gone (8 points) 14) Daniel Powter - Bad Day (7 points) 15) Oasis- The Importance Of Being Idle (6 points) 16) Green Day- Wake Me Up When September Ends (5 points) 17) Snoop Dogg feat. Justin Timberlake & Uncle Charlie Wilson- Signs (4 points) 18) 2Pac ft. Elton John - Ghetto Gospel (3 points) 19) James Blunt- You're Beautiful (2 points) 20) Chemical Brothers- Galvanise (1 point) This was very difficult to do. I love so many songs from 2005! There's no doubt that Suddenly I See is KT Tunstall's biggest hit, but it's one of my least favourite of hers. If Other Side Of The World or Black Horse And The Cherry Tree had been in I'd probably have given then 19/18 points.

Samantha Mumba: The Collection
I think when a record is descibed as going gold, platinum or whatever all it means is how many records they've sold to shops, not how many have been sold to customers. Like Rachel Steven's first album went gold in the UK, but that's only becauase it was expected to sell a lot. It didn't sell much at all. I liked Samantha at the time. She had a good voice and a couple of really good pop/R&B songs- Gotta Tell You and Baby Come On Over spring to mind. That David Bowie cover of Ashes To Ashes was rubbish though. I think Gotta Tell You actually reached number one in the US sales chart (not the Billboard one though). I think she's going to be in that Irish movie with her brother as well.

STEPS!!!
I hated them. Even when those sort of manufactured pop bands were everywhere, they were one of the worst. They were just too cheesy and plastic. Not to mention they were nearly as bad as Westlife for cover versions.

Great new Morrissey interview
I liked Morrisey, but recently he's got on my nerves for some reason. He's getting very boring. And yes he is wrong about Pete Doherty- he was a junkie long before he went anywhere near Kate Moss. He'd probably have to be a junkie to go anywhere near Kate Moss in the first place.

LeAnn Rimes - Can't Fight The Moonlight
My ex-girlfriend loved her, especially How Do I Live. I still quite like that song myself now. Can't Fight The Moonlight is a good little pop song. And she looked very hot in that video. She can pull off songs like that as well as singing ballads that require a big voice. I think she's underrated really.
