I wish all songs were certified automatically as soon as they pass the necessary milestone. For example "Stay" by Shakespears Sister had sold over 600k as of Feb 2012 but hasn't been awarded Platinum, its probably closer to 700k by now too.

How did the re-release come about?

Out of interest what has the NHS Choir sold in total?

I remember watching a 90s countdown on one of the music channels a couple of years ago and if I recall correctly it had sold 195k which would make sense because if it had sold 211k as you suggest it would've been certified silver already. So its total sales are more like 400k I would think.
