Blue have announced they’re going on tour next year and when I went to go look at their Spotify numbers a song called “Best In Me” is their second biggest streamer with over 60m streams. I’ve never heard of it before and it wasn’t released as a single. Was it used in a film or something? Apologies if this isn’t relevant it’s just bugging me.

Ah yes I knew free streams meant less in terms of sales but I would’ve imagined that 38m streams would equal to more than 72k sales for sure.

I mean it would’ve been awarded Silver in ‘93 wouldn’t it? So we’d have to wait for it to pass 400k since ‘94 for its next certification which would be Gold.

If “Right Here” had sold 210k in 1993 how is it only just been certified Silver now?

The article states that “This Love” has sold 608k but according to the BPI website it went Platinum in August 2019, surely it’s sold more than 8k since then. Maybe it should be 708k?

I had noticed the same thing with regards to what “Give Me Just a Little More Time” had sold. “Stay” was said to have sold 490k at the time and I know it was reported in 2019 that it had sold over 300k in downloads/streams so who knows maybe it is on its way to a million? ☺️

So surely it’s sold more than 615k to date? If it’s streams alone are over 30 million.

What did “West End Girls” sell in the 80s then? I always assumed it sold over 500k?
