Also this week Ke$ha Passes the million sales mark (250 points) with her former chart topper "Die Young" and is the 12th song ever to do so in my charts' six-year history. 3. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/a/ae/Ollymurstroublemaker.jpg 10. Troublemaker - Olly Murs feat. Flo Rida Peak: No.1 179 Points/716,000 Sales Chart Run: 17-02-02-01-01-01-01-02-02-02 (Still Charting) IMO this is Ollys' greatest hit and its chart run and point score seem to prove this as it spent nine weeks in the Top 2 during 2012 and has just gone back to number one last week bringing its total points to 217 making it the 27th biggest hit ever already. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/2/23/Stooshe_Black_Heart_Cover.jpg 09. Black Heart - Stooshe Peak: No.1 197 Points/788,000 Sales Chart Run: 10-01-01-01-02-05-08-12-14-13-14-14-09-09-12-14 (Still Charting) This gorgeous track took a while to make my chart but when it did it made all the way to the top where it stayed for three weeks. The trios' debut did not make my chart but did make the UK Top 5 as did this which became the much bigger hit with sales of over 450k. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/7/7f/CallItWhatYouWant.jpg 08. Call It What You Want - Foster The People Peak: No.1 #30 of 2011 197 Points/788,000 Sales (Total: 332 Points/1,328,000 Sales) 2012 Chart Run: 01-01-01-01-03-06-08-12-12-12-12-15-17-20-RE13-13-13 2x This great track from the American trio became my charts' longest-running no.1 ever staying at the top for 10 weeks, in the UK however it failed to even make the Top 100 peaking at no.139. The bands' debut "Pumped Up Kicks" remains to be a steady seller in the UK and has re-entered my chart twice. "CIWYW" is currently my 5th biggest ever hit. http://cdn01.cdn.justjared.com/wp-content/uploads/headlines/2012/09/kesha-die-young-single-artwork.jpg 07. Die Young - Ke$ha Peak: No.1 200 points/800,000 Sales Chart Run: 15-11-03-05-08-11-10-03-02-02-01-01-01 (Still Charting) This great track gave Ke$ha her second chart topper (the other being "Your Love Is My Drug" in 2009) and became her first single to score 200+ points. To date Ke$ha has had nine Top 10 hits with this being by far her biggest and to date is my charts' 18th most successful track. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/1/1a/Nicki_Minaj_Pound_The_Alarm.jpg/300px-Nicki_Minaj_Pound_The_Alarm.jpg 06. Pound The Alarm - Nicki Minaj Peak: No.1 220 Points/880,000 Sales Chart Run: 08-02-01-01-01-01-02-02-04-06-10-11-12-15-19 Nicki Minaj is one of my charts' biggest success stories and this track gave her her third chart topper of the year with the other two still to come on this rundown. So what will my Top 5 look like?
  4. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/7/77/WantUBack.jpg 15. Want U Back - Cher Lloyd feat. Astro Peak: No.1 155 Points/620,000 Sales Chart Run: 17-03-01-01-03-04-06-07-07-11-16 This provided Cher Lloyd with a big US hit and her first single to make my chart going all the way to the top for two weeks. There were two versions of the track, the album version with just Cher which was released as a single in the US, but here in the UK the track featured vocals from "American Idol" contestant Astro who is virtually unknown here. 14. Waterfalls - Stooshe Peak: No.1 156 Points/624,000 Sales Chart Run: 18-01-03-03-05-06-07-07-07-08-10 (Still Charting) This was the trios' third single release and their second to make my chart also giving them their second number one. In the UK however it failed to make the UK Top 20 and quickly dropped down the chart. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/7/76/Cheryl_Cole_Call_My_Name_Single_Cover.jpg 13. Call My Name - Cheryl Peak: No.2 158 Points/632,000 Sales Chart Run: 12-03-02-02-02-02-04-07-11-13-19-RE20-18 "Call My Name" provided Cheryl with her biggest hit on my chart staying at no.2 for a whole month kept off the top spot by Train. The song went straight in at no.1 in the UK selling over 150,000 copies in its first week alone, it has sold over 400k to date. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/9/91/Karmin-Brokenhearted-single-cover.jpg/220px-Karmin-Brokenhearted-single-cover.jpg 12. Brokenhearted - Karmin Peak: No.1 161 Points/644,000 Sales Chart Run: 16-04-01-01-01-02-05-07-08-11-15-20 This catchy pop song made it all the way to the top of my chart as well as making the UK Top 10. The duo have yet to have another hit however they did reach my Top 20 with "Hello". http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/6/6f/Back_in_Time_single.jpg/220px-Back_in_Time_single.jpg 11. Back In Time - Pitbull Peak: No.1 173 Points/692,000 Sales Chart Run: 02-01-02-02-02-03-06-07-08-11-15-20 This was the theme to "Men In Black 3" and provided Pitbull with his biggest hit going all the way to number one, on the UK Chart however it missed out on the Top 20 peaking at no.21.
  5. http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/61wHfxVutVL._SL500_AA280_.jpg 25. Never Tear Us Apart - Paloma Faith Peak: No.2 132 Points/528,000 Sales Chart Run: 13-03-02-03-03-03-04-05 (Still Charting) This cover version of the INXS classic was used in a John Lewis advertisement and made the UK Top 20, on my chart it gave Paloma her first hit reaching no.2 kept off the no.1 spot by Olly Murs. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/7/70/We_Are_Never_Ever_Getting_Back_Together.JPG 24. We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together - Taylor Swift Peak: No.2 133 Points/532,000 Sales Chart Run: 04-02-02-03-04-06-09-13-19-19-19-20-20 This catchy pop gem gave Taylor her second Top 10 hit on my chart, the other being "You Belong With Me" which reached no.1 in 2009, despite this track being kept off the top spot by P!nk and Stooshe this has become her most successful hit to date and one of her biggest UK sellers with sales exceeding 400k. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/0/04/212_Azealia_Banks_Lazy_Jay_cover_art.svg/220px-212_Azealia_Banks_Lazy_Jay_cover_art.svg.png 23. 212 - Azealia Banks feat. Lazy Jay Peak: No.4 135 Points/540,000 Sales Chart Run: 13-04-04-06-08-10-11-14-16-14-15-RE16-11-17 This was a surprise smash on my chart and despite missing out on the UK Top 10 it went on to sell more copies than some of the years' chart toppers from the likes of Cover Drive, Chris Brown and Katy Perry. http://static.entertainmentwise.com/photos/Image/nickiminaj2.jpg 22. Right By My Side - Nicki Minaj feat. Chris Brown Peak: No.5 137 Points/548,000 Sales Chart Run: 14-09-06-05-06-07-09-11-12-14-15-17-18-19-18-19 This only made it to no.70 on the UK chart but become a Top 5 success on mine becoming Chris' biggest hit of the year. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/a/a8/SilhouettesAvicii.jpg 21. Silhouettes - Avicii Peak: No.1 141 Points/564,000 Sales Chart Run: 01-03-05-06-04-06-08-09-12-16-20 This went straight in at no.1 giving the Swedish DJ his first solo hit on my chart, he previously charted the year before alongside Leona Lewis on the no.9 hit "Collide". http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/5/57/AK_Girl_on_Fire.jpg 20. Girl On Fire - Alicia Keys Peak: No.1 142 Points/568,000 Sales Chart Run: 20-01-01-02-04-05-06-08-09-12 (Still Charting) Despite the fact that my chart had been going for five years when this song made it to no.1 this become Alicas' only ever second chart entry, the other being "No One" which made it to no.3 in 2008. "Girl On Fire" made it to no.5 in the UK but I did think it would be a much bigger success. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/c/c1/Gotye_featuring_Kimbra_-_Somebody_That_I_Used_to_Know.png/220px-Gotye_featuring_Kimbra_-_Somebody_That_I_Used_to_Know.png 19. Somebody That I Used To Know - Gotye feat. Kimbra Peak: No.2 144 Points/576,000 Sales Chart Run: 09-03-02-03-04-04-05-07-12-17 This become the biggest selling single of the year in the UK, I now think the song is overrated and overplayed but do still like it. Before it become commercially successful I absolutely LOVED the track, had the song not become such a monster hit and played to death I may not of got bored of it so quickly. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/b/b4/MamaDotheHump.jpg 18. Mama Do The Hump - Rizzle Kicks Peak: No.2 146 Points/584,000 Sales (Total: 163 Points/652,000 Sales) 2012 Chart Run: 04-02-02-02-04-07-09-13-14-16-17-RE19-19-20 This was kept off the no.1 spot on my chart by Foster The People and on the UK Chart by Jessie J. It has however become the duos' most successful single selling over 600k in the UK going Platinum as well as on my chart. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/4/4d/TwilightCoverDrive.jpg 17. Twilight - Cover Drive Peak: No.4 149 Points/596,000 Sales Chart Run: 18-08-04-04-06-07-08-09-13-18-12-16-20-RE14-09 (Still Charting) This gave the band from Barbados their first hit on my chart and to date is their only hit. The song made it all the way to the top of the UK chart but only became the 75th biggest-seller of the year. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/2/21/Pink_-_Try.png 16. Try - P!nk Peak: No.1 151 Points/604,000 Sales Chart Run: 01-01-02-04-06-09-11-13-11-12-15-16 (Still Charting) P!nk is one of the most successful artists on my chart but despite this has only ever had three no.1s, two of which were during 2012. "Try" went straight in at the top staying there for two weeks as well as making the UK Top 10 thanks to an "X Factor" performance.
  6. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/d/d3/Tulisa-Young-artwork.jpg 30. Young - Tulisa Peak: No.3 118 Points/472,000 Sales Chart Run: 11-06-05-04-03-05-10-15-19-18-RE20-18 This was the former N-Dubz member and "X Factor" judges' debut single which went straight in at number one on the UK Chart selling over 120,000 copies in it first week alone, despite of this the track has yet to reach Gold status (400k). The Azealia Banks track "212" which has yet to feature on this rundown failed to make the UK Top 10 but has sold basically the same amount this track has. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/c/ca/Marry_the_Night.jpg 29. Marry The Night - Lady Gaga Peak: No.3 122 Points/488,000 Sales (Total: 146 Points/584,000 Sales) 2012 Chart Run: 10-04-03-04-06-08-11-15-16-17-18-18 This was the last single taken from the "Born This Way" album and became her first to miss out on the US Top 10 reaching no.29, on my chart it peaked at no.3 and has scored more points than some of her chart toppers. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/2/28/Borntodiesingle.png 28. Born To Die - Lana Del Rey Peak: No.5 123 Points/492,000 Sales Chart Run: 18-07-06-06-05-05-07-11-13-15-16-20 Lana made a big impact with her 2011 track "Video Games" which was a massive number one on my chart and despite only reaching no.9 in the UK it has gone on to sell over 400k. The follow-up to that track was "Born To Die" which is also where the chart-topping album of which the tracks were taken from got its name. Lana released four singles in 2012 all but one making my chart, with this being the biggest despite one of the other tracks reaching no.3. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/1/14/Carly_Rae_Jepsen_-_Call_Me_Maybe.jpg 27. Call Me Maybe - Carly Rae Jepsen Peak: No.2 125 Points/500,000 Sales Chart Run: 16-02-02-03-03-06-09-12-16-17-20 This became one of the years' biggest worldwide hits but had to settle for no.2 on my chart kept off the top spot by Katy Perry. If it wasn't for Justin Bieber this track most likely would've of been such a phenomenon and the UK would have one less million seller. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/e/e7/GoodTimeOwlCityandCarlyRaeJepsen.jpg 26. Good Time - Owl City & Carly Rae Jepsen Peak: No.2 128 Points/512,000 Sales Chart Run: 13-04-05-06-02-04-06-09-13-20 This track was the next thing we heard from Carly Rae Jepsen alongside Owl City and became a slightly bigger hit on my chart than her debut, however she still had to settle for no.2 kept off the number one spot by Karmins' "Brokenhearted".
  7. Great to see will.i.am and Britney move up your chart
  8. http://www.sainsburysentertainment.co.uk/media/ProductImage/largeImage/ProductImage-7496171.jpg 35. Gangnam Style - PSY Peak: No.2 116 Points/464,000 Sales Chart Run: 02-02-03-04-07-13-15-15-18-17-19 This became the first ever K-Pop song to reach the top of the UK Chart, however it had to settle for second place on mine kept off the top spot by Stooshes' "Black Heart". It looks to set to become a UK million seller very soon. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/4/42/Beauty_and_a_Beat_cover.jpg 34. Beauty And A Beat - Justin Bieber feat. Nicki Minaj Peak: No.5 117 Points/468,000 Sales Chart Run: 19-16-09-05-07-08-09-10-10-10-11 (Still Charting) Despite only reaching a modest peak of no.5 this track spent an impressive seven weeks in my Top 10 and is still currently charting inside my Top 15 looking set to become one of Justins' biggest hits http://www.sainsburysentertainment.co.uk/media/ProductImage/largeImage/ProductImage-7331362.jpg 33. Jar Of Hearts - Christina Perri Peak: No.4 117 Points/468,000 Sales Chart Run: 04-05-04-04-04-05-04 (Still Charting) Despite being released in 2011 this beautiful song finally made it into my chart last year and has to date spent eight weeks in the Top 5 without reaching any higher than no.4. The song also reached the same peak on the UK Chart and its sales currently stand at close to 900k. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/6/67/Madonna_-_Give_Me_All_Your_Luvin'.jpg 32. Give Me All Your Luvin' - Madonna feat. Nicki Minaj & M.I.A. Peak: No.2 117 Points/468,000 Sales Chart Run: 15-02-02-02-03-05-09-15-19 This could only make it to no.37 on the UK Chart but did became a Top 10 hit in America, a first for Madonna since 2008s' "4 Minutes". It was very successful on my chart peaking at no.2 for three weeks kept off the top spot by David Guetta and Nicki Minaj. http://www.sainsburysentertainment.co.uk/media/ProductImage/largeImage/ProductImage-7330187.jpg 31. Don't Stop (Color On The Walls) - Foster The People Peak: No.5 118 Points/472,000 Sales Chart Run: 19-13-10-05-05-05-06-08-11-13-18 Foster The People have been massive on my chart the past two years having four Top 10 hits, two of which went double Platinum. Unfortunately this song failed to make the UK Top 200 despite being used in a RAC advertisement.
  9. Good to see "Kiss You" move up your chart
