  1. I despise the 'clean edit'. Fair enough, edit out some more explicit images in the video, but removing 'Dirty' from a song called 'Dirty Picture'? Anyway, this song refuses to leave my head. I love it. :P
  2. Thrice are playing?! I'm absolutely thrilled now. :D Even though I preferred last year's line-up (unfortunately couldn't go last year), there's now quite a lot of acts I like playing.
  3. From the clip this seems like another mid-tempo? Agh, out of the previous mid-tempo singles she's released, only 'Promise' had decent success and 'Love Sex Magic' was the first to do anything substantial chart-wise from her Fantasy Ride singles. Don't get me wrong, 'Go Girl' and 'Never Ever' weren't bad songs and I preferred them both to LSM, but unless the full version of 'Ride' is a quick grower then I don't see it doing very well, like GG and NE.

Apologies Theo, I actually sort of forgot it was a spoiler. It's been edited now.

Quinn singing I Do Not Hook Up-OH WAIT. But on the KC note I think 'Walk Away' would be perfect. Jimmy Eat World's 'The Middle' is light with self-affirming lyrics, and if they made work, they could easily do it with this as it's a much better song. :D Hm, 'Laura' by Scissor Sisters also comes to mind as does 'Irreplaceable' in the style of how they performed 'Ride Wit Me'.

I voted Top 10.. REALLY hope this goes higher though. It's been around on the internet for quite a while but it still sounds good to me.
  9. Watched both Kill Bill films last night... I had trouble staying awake. I can never make up my mind about what I think of the second one. I liked the addition of the flashback to the wedding rehearsal at the start giving us more of it, but I still get bewildered at how . Also I can't help but feel that the was unintentionally funny.

  12. I think I'm getting a bit too enthusiastic about this.. I've already gone through my music and narrowed the selection down to 104 songs to use. Would just making a copy of each mp3 file and editing the properties of that one make them come up as anonymous? Eh.
  13. Blinding, Hurricane and Howl all below You've Got the Love?! Damn I should have thought to remember my password in time to vote. <_<
  14. I've not see either so I'm really spoiled for choice I suppose. CC probably edge it slightly as I'm not that tired of their self-titled, whereas I wasn't really into Tongue 'n Cheek all that much, even if most of my friends will probably be going to Dizzee.
  15. IIRC they clash with Dizzee at Leeds? I hate it when acts I like clash and then later acts I all don't like play at the same time. Boo. Can't wait for this, anyway.

I had to laugh at Daily Mail's review. There are no words. Anyway, I saw this last Friday and loved it. If there's one flaw however, I started to get bored of the segments centered around Kick-Ass and wanted to just get back to Hit Girl and Big Daddy. Those two DEFINITELY stole the show.
  17. 10 Guns & Horses 07 Starry Eyed 08 This Love (Will Be Your Downfall) 09 Under The Sheets 02 The Writer 06 Everytime You Go 07 Wish I Stayed 07 Your Biggest Mistake 05 I'll Hold My Breath 10 Salt Skin severely dislike 'the writer' still but the majority of the album has grew on me after writing half of it off.
  18. I'd love to take part in this. My music taste is quite varied, which I guess is good though it'd mean I'd have to think about making a cohesive CD. ^_^

I've resisted Glee for so long.. after watching 3 episodes online, I've decided I like it. It's much funnier and sharper than I expected it to be. Sue Sylvester is pure and utter genius. "You think this was hard? Try auditioning for Baywatch and being told they're going in another direction. THAT was hard!"
  20. Muse are by far and away my favourite's even if 'The Resistance' was a disappointment. If it's just 'of '09' then I'm half-tempted to vote for KoL, but.. nah, Muse.
  21. Out of the options given: The Fame Monster > It's Not Me It's You > The Resistance = The Fame. Although The Fame Monster isn't an option, I'll go with Lily.
  22. 90: Grizzly Bear - Two Weeks. 89: Maria Mena - All This Time. 88: Low vs Diamond - Heart Attack. 87: Justin Timberlake - My Love (ft T.I) 86: Eve - Tambourine. ---------------------- tjecYugTbIQ T1xZogpmYRU OEjkskR03o0 0YB9yvLLCkE fjNeczq2I48 ---------------------- Grizzly Bear seem to have ensnared everyone in over the course of this year, from Jay-Z and the Knowles sisters to pretty much every music critic on the internet, as 'Two Weeks' makes my chart at 90. 'All This Time' features a suitably vulnerable vocal from Maria Mena which sells the song more than anything. Low vs Diamond's entry, 'Heart Attack' I adore from the lyrics to the simple but effective accompanying music video. Despite originally much preferring the more instant 'Sexyback' upon release, 'My Love' has grown on me a LOT 3 years too late and so warrants inclusion on this list. Eve's 'Tambourine' possesses in my opinion, one of the most ruthlessly catchy hooks I've heard, and re-discovering it thanks to the powers of Shuffle only solidify this. RECAP: 86: Eve - Tambourine. 87: Justin Timberlake - My Love (ft T.I). 88: Low vs Diamond - Heart Attack. 89: Maria Mena - All This Time. 90: Grizzly Bear - Two Weeks. 91: Crystal Castles - Courtship Dating. 92: No Doubt - New. 93: Richard X - Finest Dreams (ft Kelis). 94: Hot Chip - One Pure Thought. 95: Fleet Foxes - Mykonos. 96: Bon Iver - Skinny Love. 97: N.A.S.A - Gifted (ft Kanye West, Santogold + Lykke Li). 98: Kevin Devine - (Time To Burn) Another Bag of Bones. 99: Kings of Leon - The Bucket. 100: Garbage - Tell Me Where It Hurts.
  23. #45 Slow Club - Christmas TV (2008) #44 The Sound of Arrows - M.A.G.I.C. (2009) #43 Kelly Clarkson - Because Of You (2004) Liking these three so far! :)
  24. Thanks for commenting! Getting back on with it: 95: Fleet Foxes - Mykonos. 94: Hot Chip - One Pure Thought. 93: Richard X - Finest Dreams (ft Kelis). 92: No Doubt - New. 91: Crystal Castles - Courtship Dating. ---------------------- DT-dxG4WWf4 hMaexIRBq8o b2RCjgAooDM hCggeuBhk34 tUM5aQUW2og ---------------------- The soothing Fleet Foxes enter with 'Mykonos' first at 95. Funnily enough after loving the Sun Giant EP, I still haven't downloaded their self-titled which I had been meaning to do for a while. My like for Hot Chip has grown steadily since 'Ready to the Floor', which I wasn't into much at first, however I was won over by 'One Pure Thought'. 'Finest Dreams' is often a forgotten one I feel when talking about Kelis, but it is by far one of my favourite singles with her name on it. Expect another entry from her in the chart. No Doubt also enter with the first of their two entries at 92 with 'New', probably one of their most rock-leaning singles which I still love today. Gwen has two solo entries and another song with the band all much higher up. Finally we have Crystal Castles' 'Courtship Dating', and whereas it's not my favourite off the damn fine 2008 self-titled (that would go to 'Vanished'), it is definitely up there as a highlight, and it seems as if Timbaland agrees with me if 'Ayo Technology' is anything to go by. Any of these new entries do anything for you? :D

Amazing.
