Florence + the Machine • Hurricane Drunk
Thrilled that this is getting released. :wub: Hurricane Drunk and Howl in particular seemed to be 2 of my album highlights instead of Cosmic Love for many.

Nik's Top 100 Singles of the Decade! ('00-'09)
100: Garbage - Tell Me Where It Hurts. 99: Kings of Leon - The Bucket. 98: Kevin Devine - (Time to Burn) Another Bag of Bones. 97: N.A.S.A. - Gifted (ft. Kanye West, Santogold + Lykke Li) 96: Bon Iver - Skinny Love. ------------------------ ZnKt8i_ppRs AnZmWE8JG3M vGDMfs3McJs WZB7yswo6a0 ssdgFoHLwnk ------------------------ Kicking the countdown off then I'd say are 5 songs which are fairly varied. Having to rank Garbage - who have had MUCH better songs which aren't eligible for the count at 100 is quite sad, but I still do really like 'Tell Me Where it Hurts'. KoL at 99 with a song which is not Use Somebody or Sex on Fire?! :mellow: Eh, yes, but in the end 'The Bucket' has had much more longevity for my ears than the aforementioned, deserves it's place. Kevin Devine and Bon Iver both enter with very mellow, but nonetheless great singles, 'For Emma, Forever Ago' growing on me in particular as of late. DJ duo N.A.S.A snatch spot 97 with one of the earwormy-est chorus' of the year courtesy of Lykke Li, with Kanye and Santogold - who both will have entries higher up the chart later on not doing any harm at all.

Nik's Top 100 Singles of the Decade! ('00-'09)
Hey there BJ. The deal is I've lurked over the forums for a LOOOONG time, and even after making an account many many months ago, I posted twice and thought 'no, back to lurking, I'm too lazy to sign in', however after discovering the Personal Charts section and with all the different End of Year/Of The Decade charts, I thought it'd be kinda fun to make my own - despite how painful it was to have to miss off certain songs for whatever reason, and after reading quite a lot of comments, some choices might be rather questionable - some maybe songs by loved artist, but not the single you thought SHOULD make it, or others more obscure that you might not have heard of, with YT vids + probably a general commentary with each post. Um, first for twenty that just missed out, but are all what I still consider brilliant songs: 101. Placebo - Running Up That Hill. 102. Jem - They. 103. The xx - Crystallized. 104. Solange - Sandcastle Disco. 105. Something Corporate - Konstantine. 106. Anberlin - The Unwinding Cable Car. 107. The Last Shadow Puppets - The Age of Understatement. 108. Missy Elliot - Lose Control (ft Ciara + Fatman Scoop) 109. The Pains of Being Pure at Heart - Young Adult Friction. 110. Cut Copy - Lights & Music. 111. The Crystal Method - Name of the Game. 112. Cat Power - He War. 113. Shiny Toy Guns - Ricochet. 114. Maps - When You Leave. 115. Jay-Z - Takeover. 116. LCD Soundsystem - North American Scum. 117. Foals - Cassius. 118. Kelly Clarkson - Walk Away. 119. Frightened Rabbit - Fast Blood. 120. Ladyhawke - My Delirium. 100 singles and 83 artists (well, unless I've counted wrong.) Beginning shortly if you're interested! :cheer:

Skins // Series 3
New-ish interview w/ Jamie Brittain if you're interested: http://www.anevibe.com/headlines/skintervi...e-brittain.html Good news for Naomi/Emily fans, then. :') Anyway, how the episodes rank for me: Episode 7 ('JJ') Episode 4 ('Pandora') Episode 6 ('Naomi') Episode 9 ('Katie & Emily') Episode 8 ('Effy') Episode 3 ('Thomas') Episode 1 ('Everyone') Episode 5 ('Freddie') Episode 10 ('Finale') Episode 2 ('Cook') Series 3 summed up rather quickly for me: more interesting characters in general, weaker storylines imo.

2007 Records Of The Year Game
'07 was...fantastic, really. x.x 1. Nelly Furtado - Say it Right. 2. Bloc Party - Flux. 3. Robyn - Handle Me. 4. Arctic Monkeys - Brianstorm. 5. Alicia Keys - No One. 6. The Gossip - Standing In The Way of Control. 7. Timbaland ft. Keri Hilson - The Way I Are. 8. Kate Nash - Foundations. 9. Robyn ft. Kleerup - With Every Heartbeat. 10. Kelly Clarkson - Never Again. 11. Arctic Monkeys - Fluorescent Adolescent. 12. hellogoodbye - Here In Your Arms. 13. Gwen Stefani ft. Akon - The Sweet Escape. 14. Groove Armada ft. Mutya - Out of Control (Song 4 Mutya). 15. Klaxons - Golden Skans. 16. Christina Aguilera - Candyman. 17. Britney Spears - Gimme More. 18. Leona Lewis - Bleeding Love. 19. Aly & AJ - The Potential Breakup Song. 20. Amy Winehouse - Back to Black. Big surprise of the year was The Potential Break-Up Song, imo. I don't think anyone expected it to be THAT good, and it was great, despite being only at #19.

I'm rather pleasantly surprised at how well Ciara's doing! :D Don't think Calvin'll hold up once Eminem is released, though, unfortunately, as We Made You is really disappointing imo. -hopes Lily's Top 10- :w00t:

The Inbetweeners || Series Two
My opinion on the Inbetweeners this series has tended to swing quite wildly. Weird how I couldn't stand Jay last series, and didn't really care for Neil, but I think they're hilarious this series. :D I know Will is MEANT to be awkward and unlikable, but sometimes I find myself cringing at the things he says. Fair play though, he DOES have some good lines. HOWEVER, I think if it extended to a 3rd series in University, it'd feel a bit stale. I dunno on that one, it's still early days. :3 Gilbert is such a sadist as well, it's brilliant! :D
