Theonix

Just when I thought I couldn't bop any more to this :music:

On the plus side, she's debuted at #6 in America which is really good! Her promo there was a lot better than here but I still expected a better impact than #42 :( For some reason Truth Hurts is in the top 100 on UK Spotify which is far higher than Juice has ever gotten, although it seems to be having a small effect on that as it's repeaked too this weekend

Harry Potter?!

Up to #4 this week with 57,000 units sold and with Lemonade at #9, this is the first week EVER that she's had two albums in the top 10 at the same time - the first woman to do so since Lady Gaga following her Super Bowl performance in February 2017!

QUEEN

I can't believe no one has mentioned the similarities to Sit Still, Look Pretty?! I heard it in the chorus the fit time I heard it As for "Me!", terrible would be an understatement

The challenge was a mess this week - Brooke Lynn was the only decent one (and she killed it to be fair), I'll allow A'Keria and Yvie too but otherwise it was embarrassing - especially Vanjie and Plastique's scene. Brooke killed it on the runway too, how she didn't win the week is yet another baffling decision made by Ru I'm kinda sad to see Plastique go but she has been drifting for a few weeks now

The album has climbed to #25 in the UK this week! I've also just watched the documentary and am IN LOVE with her even more than I already was, if that's even possible?! She showed so much warmth and personality in the behind the scenes clips, I never really appreciate just how much work goes into one of her shows

Wowwww, that is insane *_* I was expecting top 40 maximum! Could've returned to the top ten or even challenged for #1 with a full week available!

Homecoming: The Live Album debuted at #7 on the Billboard 200 with a total of 38,000 album units sold after just two tracking days! It would be great if Lemonade joins it in the top ten on next week's chart I am still yet to watch the doc but it's on my to watch listen for today!

DESTINY'S CHILD MUSICAL BEING DEVELOPED BY BEYONCÉ’S DAD MATTHEW KNOWLES Beyoncé’s dad reveals he is developing a musical about Destiny’s Child. The hit 1990s girl group – whose most successful line-up included Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams – were managed by Beyoncé’s dad Matthew Knowles who, in a statement, revealed he is working on a musical about the girl group. He said: “I want to pull back the curtain. I feel it’s time to give the world an opportunity to hear, see and feel the victories and failures that I’ve had as a husband, father and manager who risked everything in pursuit of fulfilling dreams – those of mine and others.” Called Survivor: The Destiny’s Child Musical, the production will be developed for Broadway and West End stages and is set to premiere next year as the launch of a tour. The musical will ‘bare an honest depiction of the achievements, obstacles and evolution of the world’s most iconic girl group and the mastermind behind them’, his statement reads. ------------ I'm not sure what my thoughts on this are, on the one hand, a musical with Destiny's Child and solo musical could be absolutely incredible but the fact that it's being helmed by Matthew is really off putting for me (and will be for a lot of die-hard fans). We'll see if this ends up going ahead...

Bey's cover of Maze's song Before I Let Go has been slowly climbing the Spotify charts after a studio version was recorded for her Homecoming album - interpolating the classic Candy by Cameo. She's also started a viral dance challenge, posting her faves to her Insta stories It's just been added to Hot Hits UK, I would love for this to be a cute hit to tide us over while hype for Bey is at a high!

UK Spotify debuts! Top 50 only at the moment: 19. Hold Up 23. Sorry 28. Formation 39. 6 Inch 40. Don't Hurt Yourself 46. Daddy Lessons 50. Freedom I'm shocked, I really wasn't expecting such a huge impact! *.* Really cementing its classic status, hopefully the album returns to the top 40 this week too!

Oh wow I'm surprised that this is still climbing in the US! Would be cute if she could get a hit out of it there just before the album is released

Bartier

Hello, London! *.* Bal this thread is invaluable and it's so interesting reading through all your footnotes. I definitely dipped out of following Gaga between late 2011 and 2016 so I'm seeing quite a bit that I missed during those years

Lol at My Way. Bye x We'll Be Coming Back and Thinking About You next

Thanks for the update Jay! :D Hoping for a few Lemonade tracks to sneak in there over time, I was expecting Before I Let Go to impact the top 200s after Homecoming's release/New Music Friday but alas not

The Jonas Brothers have announced their first new album in 10 years, following their recent US #1 Sucker It took me a while to get Sucker but I quite like it now, I'm not a fan of Cool though but I'm sure that will grow on me too

I'm kinda surprised that Boogie 2nite won, whilst I obviously love it, I do just prefer Some Kinda Rush. I would have liked Nu Flow to trouble the top two but I can't really complain at top three! Thanks for running this, Joseph! :D
