congrats to Cynthia Lee Fontaine for her Grammy wins !!!

Her reaction to Alicia singing a section of Boo'd Up during her piano medley was everything! She's been a huge influence on her music, she did a great interview with the Guardian this weekend

Can we just take a moment to appreciate that this woman has performed at the last five consecutive Grammy Award ceremonies? Add to that two performances from 2010 and 2011 and she's performed at 7 out of 10 ceremonies this decade! Her performance was vocally insane *.* I wasn't sure on what she was actually doing during the performance but she was clearly living her fantasy. The awards for Shallow (and Joanne!) were so deserved, I still can't believe she lost out in that category to Shape of You last year so I do kind of feel she was being rewarded for that with this win, not to take away from Joanne's own deserved success. Her speeches with Alicia Keys and Michelle Obama and her winning speech were both really lovely, I'm so pleased to see that she's still so appreciative of the success that she receives

Needy is new at #6 in today's midweeks! Breathin' was at #8 at the same point so it's possible that this will outpeak that (and Imagine!) this week

Okay so if this goes to #1 this week, Ariana will be the first female artist EVER to replace herself as the #1 single in the UK! The only other artists to do so are: The Beatles - I Want to Hold Your Hand and She Loves You (December 1963) John Lennon - Imagine and Woman (February 1981) Elvis Presley - Jailhouse Rock and One Night/I Got Stung (January 2005) Justin Bieber - Sorry and Love Yourself (December 2015); I'm the One and Despacito (May 2017) Ed Sheeran - Perfect and River (January 2018) a living legend *.*

So I now officially love this *.* I take back what I said about it being her worst single since Yours, Truly! It's currently #2 in the UK midweeks and only 41 sales behind 7 rings at #1, it's just overtaken the latter on Spotify so expect Ari to replace herself at #1 officially this week! I can't remember the last time a female artist did that in the UK but I'm so pleased for just how huge this era has been already

And US predictions are between 280,000 to 300,000, of which 90-100,000 should be pure album sales

The performance with St Vincent was everything! It brought a whole new life into One Kiss and Dua sounded great on Masseduction! They both looked stunning too *.* I'm so pleased she won Best New Artist too! I hope she gets her second album out sooner rather than later though going by the recent success rate of its winners

I love this album SO much. By far more instant than Sweetener for me, and even the songs that weren't instant have grown on me after repeat listens Highlights are NASA (it's like a good version of R.E.M.), Bad Idea, Bloodline and Break Up with Your Girlfriend. Make Up is this album's Successful, I'm not sure how I feel about it at the moment Overall I'm really pleased though, it's full of pop bops which is what was missing from Sweetener, I'm very grateful that Pharrell was not invited back :lol:

It's a classic example of cutting one's nose off to spite one's own face. I'm sure she'll get over it

TWENTY-THREE TIME GRAMMY AWARD WINNER *.* Queen Bey is getting closer to Alison Krauss's record for most awarded female artist after this won Best Urban Contemporary Album at the Grammys tonight

I'm very pleased for her! I still think it's quite petty that she refused to appear/perform what the Academy requested her to perform but it's about time that she's finally rewarded for her work on her fourth album! Here's to thank u, next sweeping up at the 2020 Grammys!

GRAMMY WINNER DUA LIPA! *.* Very shocked and pleased that she managed to take this award, the category wasn't particularly strong but it's still a huge achievement! As much as I'd love her to win Best New Artist too, with the recent track record of winners going straight to a sophomore slump, I wouldn't be too bothered if she loses that one

Ciara's next single, the follow up to Dose, will be released on Tuesday! I'm very excited to hear this, her trio of singles released last year were all excellent and hopefully this will finally lead into her sixth album, Ciara and Jackie remain flawless and by far her greatest albums, so hopefully her upward streak continues

Video premiering at 5pm GMT GiOGlYjKgX8 I really like this after a couple of listens, Marina's voice sounds gorgeous, particularly during the intro and chorus, it's so refreshing after her last two releases with Clean Bandit #5 on New Music Friday and already top 40 on iTunes so hopefully this has a good chance at a decent debut next week. No Radio 1 support but we all know how long it took them to pick up Baby so fingers crossed they do get on-board sooner rather than later

It's by far the worst single/music video from this album so far, I'd even go as far as saying her worst single since Yours Truly. I hope it grows on me though, because the concept is fierce and I love the twist at the end of the video

What I'm most concerned about is the LSFYL on Drag Race UK, I hope there won't be a bunch of Charlie Hides who don't even bother putting on a show because "they sing live". I want to see the queens going for it, the same way the (majority) do on the original version
