Latvia (Supernova) · Eurovision Song Contest 2024
ju9HbHdjmsg She was robbed But "Hollow" is a solid entry and definitely putting an end to their NQ streak

Sweden (Melodifestivalen) · Eurovision Song Contest 2024
Yeah, Danny, Dotter, Marcus & Martinus and Cazzi Opeia really need to bring it. Three of the four finalists so far are fine, but not worthy of winning. This was my least favourite Liamoo entry so far I'd say, really boring to see him win the heat. Enjoyed Norrland more than I expected, that was catchy. And Fröken Snusk was great visually, would love if it could somehow find a way to the final so I can turn up at Friends arena in a pink balaclava.

Finland (UMK) · Eurovision Song Contest 2024
The worst song in the NF. I hope they fail to qualify and it teaches Finland a lesson whilst the Swedes laugh on.

Luxembourg (LSC) · Eurovision Song Contest 2024
Yeah, this is my least favourite of the entries chosen so far sadly. It's just so generic :(

Norway (Melodi Grand Prix) · Eurovision Song Contest 2024
I'm not massively into this, but I'm glad it won over KEiiNO. If "Monument" couldn't win MGP, this one didn't have a right to be anywhere near.

Sweden (Melodifestivalen) · Eurovision Song Contest 2024
Sad to see Samir & Viktor straight out, it wasn't as good as their past couple of entries but still decent. Very happy with how well Lisa and Elisa both did. Smash Into Pieces were good, but felt very much like a carbon copy of last year so disappointing to see them win the heat really. Even the ballad from the newbie was quite sweet I thought.

Spain (Benidorm Fest) · Eurovision Song Contest 2024
Angy was my favourite (the chorus sounds so much like it could be P!nk) and I love Brillos Platino in studio form, but very happy with Zorra, declaring this an ICONIC choice by Spain. Thank god St Pedro didn't take it, very mid and one of the worst in the final.

Ukraine (Vidbir) · Eurovision Song Contest 2024
Apparently they got 62% of the public vote, huge result! I'd be on board if this managed to go all the way in May, it would definitely be my favourite Ukrainian winner.

Ireland (Eurosong) · Eurovision Song Contest 2024
It's nice that I won't be a lone supporter of Ireland for once! Easily the best song that they could've picked, and top of my rankings so far, it's one that I want to keep going back and listening to and it REALLY needs to be a return to the final for them. I swear to god if it's left to be announced as the 10th qualifier I'll be having a heart attack

Zverev loses another major Grand Slam match from being two sets up, oh what a shame :D Will be supporting Medvedev in the final, but wouldn't be mad with Sinner winning either. Ending Djokovic's AO streak without even having to face a break point sounds like he was really impressive!

Iceland (Söngvakeppnin) · Eurovision Song Contest 2024
I feel like he would compete, for it to be more of a statement?

AWARDS SZN • 2024
I am so happy about the America Ferrera nom, that I don't really care about anything else. I know her performance was singled out a lot when the movie was released, but it didn't seem like there was hype leading up to these nominations (she didn't get in at the Globes, BAFTAs) so that was a very nice surprise, especially considering Greta and Margot didn't make it. Hoping to see The Holdovers this weekend, I'm quite low on the nominees from the major categories right now, only seen Barbie and Poor Things.

Ukraine (Vidbir) · Eurovision Song Contest 2024
Odds make it look like Jerry Heil & alyona alyona have this wrapped up, and I could see it being in contention come Malmö. I mean it's no #vegan, but I've been wanting Jerry Heil to go since then and I prefer it to 'When God Shut the Door' from last year.

Norway (Melodi Grand Prix) · Eurovision Song Contest 2024
My rankings by semi Margaret Berger - Oblivion (8/10) Mathilde SPZ feat. Chris Archer & Slam Dunk - Woman Show (8/10) Fredrik Halland - Stranded (8/10) Myra - Heart on Fire (7.5/10) Gothminister - We Come Alive (7/10) Ingrid Jasmin - Eya (6/10) Erika Norwich, Super Rob - My AI (10/10) Mileo - You're Mine (7.5/10) Farida - Heartbreak (7.5/10) Anne Fagermo, Dag Erik Oksvold - Judge Tenderly of Me (6/10) Gåte - Ulveham (5/10) Eli Kristin Hanssveen - Touch of Venus (3/10) Vidar Villa - MER (8/10) MIIA - Green Lights (8/10) Annprincess - Save Me (7/10) KEiiNO - Damdiggida (6/10) Mistra - Waltz of Death (5/10) Thomas Jenssen - Take Me to Heaven (5/10) There is only one option to go with - the Eurovision fans really want to meet Rob in person :cheer: The first heat is the one I'll be around to watch, so pleased it's the strongest overall. "Oblivion" is so much better than "I Feed You my Love" for me, and "Woman Show" is giving fun Melfest entry. This is really disappointing from KEiiNO, to not even see them as worthy of the final.

Norway (Melodi Grand Prix) · Eurovision Song Contest 2024
'My AI' seems right up Norway's street, they better not disappoint me. Not really here for this KEiiNO track. If 'Monument' couldn't win MGP, this shouldn't come anywhere close, one of their worst releases for me :(

Survivor UK
I rather enjoyed this all the way through, I think because I've not seen more than an episode or odd clip of any other Survivor series, so I had nothing to compare it to and the challenges were all fresh, even if gameplay clearly wasn't the best. I'm not mad about Matthew winning, he was my second choice out of the top 5 and it sounded like an impressive stat that the person he voted for always ended up leaving, but I think he was guided by Christopher at times and Christopher definitely deserved more than just one vote (and to get the same number of votes as Leilani - Tinuke can get in the bin for that)

The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes
Nowhere near as good as the first two Hunger Games movies, but perhaps better than the Mockingjay movies which I don't remember much about. It went on a lot longer than I expected following the conclusion of the games, rather unnecessarily for me. The first half of the movie was a lot better, even with the games being not as exciting as in the main movies.

Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2023
My votes were UK, Ireland and Ukraine (so pleased at how well they did in the public vote). Realistically I think France were the best, just thought the others would need the votes more. Much better than their winner last year. Spain would've made a decent winner, wasn't really into Armenia, too generic and lacking emotion for me.

Green Room · Eurovision Song Contest 2024
I think Bulgaria would be the most likely to be a 41st country, and I'd rather them not bother if it's just going to be another Intelligent Music Project. With Kazakhstan not even taking part in Junior Eurovision this year, I think the days of hoping for them to appear in the main contest may be over. :( Not a fan of them re-using the "United by Music" slogan every contest from now on, I hope it's a decision the EBU may go back on in a year or two. Have Sweden just run out of ideas given they're tasked with hosting so often xx It was a perfect fit for 2023, both as a pun because the UK were hosting, but because it was a collaborative hosting with Ukraine. I know the slogans are always basic, but I feel it removes some of the opportunity that a first time winner could have to give their hosting a 'unique identity', and the slogans can be a package with the visual theme which I assume will still be different for each contest.
